Abordagens periodontais na promoção da harmonia do sorriso

Several therapeutic approaches have been proposed in order to achieve an esthetically pleasing and harmony smile. The present study reports a case in which gingivectomy was performed in the region of the upper anterior teeth combined with osteotomy in the region of the upper posterior teeth and removal of the superior labial frenum to promote harmony smile by decreasing the gummy smile and adequacy of buccal corridor. Osteoplasty gingivoplasty, and frenectomy procedures were planned and performed in a single session. The extraction of the maxillary third molars was also performed in order to avoid postoperative complications. Follow-up visits were performed at 7, 15, 30 and 180 days postoperatively. At 7 days, the gingival tissue was in the initial process of healing, demonstrating inflammation still in evidence. At 15 days, the gingival tissue was found in the final healing process, showing characteristics of normal health gum. At 30 days, there was complete healing of gingival tissues without clinical exposure of the root surfaces. After 180 days, tissues remained in healthy, demonstrating the success of the treatment. Patient showed complete satisfaction with the results. It can be concluded that, when properly indicated, the combination of gingivectomy, osteotomy and frenectomy procedures are promising therapeutic approaches for promoting harmony smile.

Uma gota de suor e o universo da Educação Física: um olhar semiótico para as práticas corporais

This essay raises problems around the possible relationships of Semiotics, understood as science that investigates the life of signs, with Physical Education. It emphasizes the Semiotics or the General Logic of Signs elaborated by Charles S. Peirce (1839-1914), and presents its fundamentals, applications and implications for research in the field of Physical Education. It concludes that Semiotics allows launching new epistemic looks at the analysis and intervention in Physical Education, in order to: comprehend all its manifestations as expressive, meaningful and communicative; review the existing dichotomies in Physical Education; claim for the enhancement of looking at the subjects, their conducts and living motion situations as producers of language, and, therefore, of communication with the world.

Olhares street art - investigação ação : de que forma abordagens de arte contemporânea nas escolas promovem a criatividade

In this study we intend to address a learning experience that was inspired by the intersection between public art and art education. We intend to make a reflection and analysis of pedagogical actions undertaken during this experience related to a theoretical framework to help us evaluate and improve the pedagogical and methodological strategies. The experience began with a visit to the exhibition "Street Art" at the AXA building in Porto. This visit was made with a group of children of different ages, accompanied by their parents, in May 2014. This exhibition brought new gazes for urban art. By recognizing obvious benefits such as proximity and accessibility, urban art, so rarely addressed in the classroom, may be an educational resource. Our intention in this study asks whether the contact with urban works of art can be motivating for students and facilitators of learning. We used a methodology of action research to approach urban art in visual art education lessons, exploring various art objects of the exhibition "Street Art" and the surrounding city with students. Novas abordagens para configurações automáticas dos parâmetros de controle em comitês de classificadores

Significant advances have emerged in research related to the topic of Classifier Committees. The models that receive the most attention in the literature are those of the static nature, also known as ensembles. The algorithms that are part of this class, we highlight the methods that using techniques of resampling of the training data: Bagging, Boosting and Multiboosting. The choice of the architecture and base components to be recruited is not a trivial task and has motivated new proposals in an attempt to build such models automatically, and many of them are based on optimization methods. Many of these contributions have not shown satisfactory results when applied to more complex problems with different nature. In contrast, the thesis presented here, proposes three new hybrid approaches for automatic construction for ensembles: Increment of Diversity, Adaptive-fitness Function and Meta-learning for the development of systems for automatic configuration of parameters for models of ensemble. In the first one approach, we propose a solution that combines different diversity techniques in a single conceptual framework, in attempt to achieve higher levels of diversity in ensembles, and with it, the better the performance of such systems. In the second one approach, using a genetic algorithm for automatic design of ensembles. The contribution is to combine the techniques of filter and wrapper adaptively to evolve a better distribution of the feature space to be presented for the components of ensemble. Finally, the last one approach, which proposes new techniques for recommendation of architecture and based components on ensemble, by techniques of traditional meta-learning and multi-label meta-learning. In general, the results are encouraging and corroborate with the thesis that hybrid tools are a powerful solution in building effective ensembles for pattern classification problems.
