O legado grego na terminologia gramatical brasileira

This study aims at investigating the existence of a Greek terminological legacy in the Brazilian grammatical organization, taking into account that the initial Greek grammar is the source of our grammar, through the Latin grammar, and that the field defined by it is a reference point for studying the evolution of Western thought about language. The theoretical and methodological approach is based on Historical Linguistics along the lines that guided the extensive research on the emergence of grammar in the West, which is the source of the information organized here (NEVES, 2005). The reflections focus on the examination of nomenclature, considering that it conceptually maps the set of positions assumed, and in general maintained, that deserve consideration. Among other things, the survey compared both Greek terms inherited in the continuous current of the grammatical thinking with Greek terms introduced later, and terms transliterated from the Greek with terms modeled on the Latin translation. In addition, there have been cases of names that were changed while the concept was kept and cases of concepts that were changed while the name was kept. Anyway, the examination of the nomenclature reveals the undeniable existence of a Greek legacy in the organization of the Portuguese grammar.

This study aims to discuss the role of the professional of public relations and the marketing tools in organizing events. Taking as parameter the concepts of events, marketing and public relations and highlighting the contributions on strategic planning, the communication process and the relationship with stakeholders as key elements on this management, it is intended to form arguments to demonstrate that the work of a skilled professional is essential for the empowerment of the events not only as a communication tool, but as well as a relationship tool. The methodology utilized is based on literary data and on the exemplification of this process, with the analysis of three mega events. As a result, we leave a reflection about the importance of professionally events management, in addition to excellent communication and expansion of economic resources, since it defends the idea that management needs to generate lasting relationships across all the stakeholders' chain

The criticism of Cartesian philosophy is correlated on four pillars: the fragmentation of knowledge, the separation between mind and body, the impossibility of the reductionist method for explanation of natural phenomena, and in the superiority of the reason as the only valid form of knowledge. These last two pillars, as many environmentalists claim, contributed decisively to the devaluation of the res extensa over the res cogitans. To check this we used as a theoretical framework the following texts: Discourse on Method, Rules for Conduct of the Spirit and Metaphysical Meditations. By reading these works it was found that the first two pillars (the fragmentation of knowledge and the separation between mind and body) there are no theoretical basis in texts. The failure of the reductionist method to explain the ecological and atomic phenomena and the overcoming of reason as the only valid form of knowledge are supported in their philosophy.

O debate francês acerca da instrução pública e seus desdobramentos no Brasil

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar aspectos históricos das questões políticas, ideológicas e conceituais que estiveram presentes nas discussões referentes à instrução nacional francesa no final do século XVIII, enfatizando as proposições de Condorcet, no Rapport de 1792, como sendo base desse tipo de debate durante o processo revolucionário na França. Privilegiamos, portanto, analisar as prerrogativas discursivas dessa proposta e o certame suscitado a partir dela, pois resultaram, até mesmo, em novas proposições, entre elas as de Romme, Robespierre, Lepelletier e Lakanal. Trata-se de uma abordagem que nos proporciona a compreensão da base moderna do debate sobre instrução pública que se configurou no século XIX. Essa concorrência de ideias entre os franceses se estabeleceu como o grande legado teórico para os sistemas modernos de ensino, inclusive o brasileiro. Depreendemos, ainda, que a instrução defendida na França estava permeada pelos ideais de razão, moral e cientificismo.

Diagnósticos de enfermagem em vítimas de trauma nas primeiras seis horas após o evento

OBJETIVO: Identificar a frequência dos diagnósticos de enfermagem em vítimas de trauma nas primeiras 6 horas, após o evento traumático e verificar a relação desses diagnósticos com a mortalidade. MÉTODOS: Estudo prospectivo transversal com análise quantitativa, realizado em hospital terciário, centro de referência ao trauma no Município de São Paulo. Durante seis meses, foram avaliados 407 pacientes maiores de 18 anos atendidos no Pronto -Socorro desse hospital. RESULTADOS: Os diagnósticos de enfermagem mais frequentes foram: Risco de Infecção (84,5%), Integridade da pele prejudicada (77,9%), Dor aguda (71,5%), Conforto prejudicado (68,3%) e Integridade tissular prejudicada (54,1%). A associação entre diagnósticos de enfermagem e mortalidade foi observada em 28 (66,7%) dos diagnósticos identificados. CONCLUSÃO: Os dados acrescentaram informações que poderão auxiliar na formação e atuação do enfermeiro no cenário das emergências em trauma e evidenciaram o potencial dos diagnósticos de enfermagem para avaliar os resultados e a qualidade da assistência.

El legado del turismo británico en las Islas Canarias

Aumento de fijación de nitrógeno en diazótrofos unicelulares versus Trichodesmium tras un evento de deposición de polvo atmosférico en las Islas Canarias

[ES]En este trabajo hemos estudiado la relación entre la deposición de polvo atmosférico, y la abundancia y tasas de fijación de nitrógeno asociadas a Trichodesmium y fijadores unicelulares en las Islas Canarias. La fijación de nitrógeno asociada a los fijadores unicelulares aumentó entre el 86 y el 92% tras un evento de deposición de polvo atmosférico, mientras que la asociada a Trichodesmium disminuyó entre el 34 y el 92%. Tras el evento de deposición de polvo, aumentó la abundancia de fijadores unicelulares y la mayoría de éstos aparecieron asociados a partículas de materia orgánica. Creemos que esta estrategia les permite ligar el hierro que contiene el polvo y así poder usar este nutriente limitante.

Chernobil. ¿Accidente nuclear o evento político?

[ES] El propósito de esta charla es analizar las circunstancias que dieron lugar al accidente de la Central Nuclear de Chernobil y la reacción que se suscitó como consecuencia del mismo. ¿Estaban la sociedad preparada para ello? ¿Había medidas tomadas para el caso de un accidente de esa envergadura? ¿Podría repetirse un accidente como ese? Para dar respuesta a estas cuestiones se hará un breve repaso sobre el concepto de la contaminación transfronteriza a larga distancia, las medidas de protección radiológica existentes, el accidente: ¿cómo se produjo?, ¿por qué?, para finalizar con las medidas que hubo que poner en marcha después del mismo tanto provisionales como definitivas.
