En este documento indagamos sobre algunos aspectos del conocimiento didáctico que un grupo de maestros de primaria en formación inicial ponen en juego al redactar un texto cuyo propósito es iniciar a los escolares de primaria en la noción de fracción. Usamos algunas de las categorías del análisis didáctico para analizar las producciones de los futuros maestros. Los resultados destacan los conocimientos que los participantes seleccionan, como el concepto de numerador y denominador, la suma y resta de fracciones o el concepto de unidad, y el modo en que los introducen en sus propuestas.

The present paper reports the results of a study aiming to describe the attitudes of teachers in adult continuous education in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia (Spain) towards the use and integration of information and communication technologies (ITC) in the educational centres they work in, while identifying those factors that favour the development of good practice. It is a mixed methods descriptive research, and information collection techniques include a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. A total number of 172 teachers were surveyed, as well as 18 head teachers and coordinators, in adult education. For questionnaire validation the expert judgment technique was used, as they were selected by the «expert competence coefficient» or «K coefficient» procedure. To improve its psychometric properties, construct validity was determined by means of Varimax factor analysis and maximum likelihood extraction (two factors were extracted). Confidence was set by Cronbach's alpha (0.88). The interview guide was also validated by this group of experts. Results point out, on one hand, that teachers hold positive attitudes towards ICT regarding both ICT's role in professional development and their ease of use and access. On the other hand, among the most important factors for ICT-supported good educational practices lies in ICT's capacity to favour personalized work.

The sense of vision is people’s main source of information acquisition, hence the importance of a right diagnosis and correction, if necessary, of any faults for proper learning, especially in the early years of schooling. This article discusses the results of a survey of teachers in Andalusian schools that aimed at highlighting their knowledge of their students’ possible visual deficiencies, and its possible impact on school performance. The results indicate that such knowledge is generally limited to the type of refractive anomalies, and that they think that such anomalies are well treated in their students. Despite the importance they attach to these deficiencies on school learning, they think that other factors may have a greater role. They also consider that better training on this topic is necessary.

En su comentario a la Ética a Nicómaco, Averroes se ocupó del pasaje donde Aristóteles distingue entre las cosas que son justas por naturaleza y aquéllas que lo son en virtud de la ley (V, 7 1134b18-1135a5). Su comentario es particularmente breve, pero plantea algunas dificultades importantes, como su alusión a un derecho naturale legale, que, según Leo Strauss, vendría a ser simplemente un derecho positivo de aceptación general. En este artículo se busca caracterizar lo justo natural y lo justo positivo en el comentario de Averroes y mostrar el alcance de la variación de los criterios propios de la justicia positiva.

Non-typable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) is a common commensal of the human nasopharynx, but causes opportunistic infection when the respiratory tract is compromised by infection or disease. The ability of NTHi to invade epithelial cells has been described, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly characterized. We previously determined that NTHi promotes phosphorylation of the serine-threonine kinase Akt in A549 human lung epithelial cells, and that Akt phosphorylation and NTHi cell invasion are prevented by inhibition of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K). Because PI3K-Akt signalling is associated with several host cell networks, the purpose of the current study was to identify eukaryotic molecules important for NTHi epithelial invasion. We found that inhibition of Akt activity reduced NTHi internalization; differently, bacterial entry was increased by phospholipase C?1 inhibition but was not affected by protein kinase inhibition. We also found that a5 and ß1 integrins, and the tyrosine kinases focal adhesion kinase and Src, are important for NTHi A549 cell invasion. NTHi internalization was shown to be favoured by activation of Rac1 guanosine triphosphatase (GTPase), together with the guanine nucleotide exchange factor Vav2 and the effector Pak1. Also, Pak1 might be associated with inactivation of the microtubule destabilizing agent Op18/stathmin, to facilitate microtubule polymerization and NTHi entry. Conversely, inhibition of RhoA GTPase and its effector ROCK increased the number of internalized bacteria. Src and Rac1 were found to be important for NTHi-triggered Akt phosphorylation. An increase in host cyclic AMP reduced bacterial entry, which was linked to protein kinase A. These findings suggest that NTHi finely manipulates host signalling molecules to invade respiratory epithelial cells.

Non-typable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) is a gram negative pathogen that causes acute respiratory infections and is associated with the progression of chronic respiratory diseases. Previous studies have established the existence of a remarkable genetic variability among NTHi strains. In this study we show that, in spite of a high level of genetic heterogeneity, NTHi clinical isolates display a prevalent molecular feature, which could confer fitness during infectious processes. A total of 111 non-isogenic NTHi strains from an identical number of patients, isolated in two distinct geographical locations in the same period of time, were used to analyse nine genes encoding bacterial surface molecules, and revealed the existence of one highly prevalent molecular pattern (lgtF+, lic2A+, lic1D+, lic3A+, lic3B+, siaA-, lic2C+, ompP5+, oapA+) displayed by 94.6% of isolates. Such a genetic profile was associated with a higher bacterial resistance to serum mediated killing and enhanced adherence to human respiratory epithelial cells.

Nontypable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) is a Gram-negative, non-capsulated human bacterial pathogen, a major cause of a repertoire of respiratory infections, and intimately associated with persistent lung bacterial colonization in patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Despite its medical relevance, relatively little is known about its mechanisms of pathogenicity. In this study, we found that NTHi invades the airway epithelium by a distinct mechanism, requiring microtubule assembly, lipid rafts integrity, and activation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) signalling. We found that the majority of intracellular bacteria are located inside an acidic subcellular compartment, in a metabolically active and non-proliferative state. This NTHi-containing vacuole (NTHi-CV) is endowed with late endosome features, co-localizing with LysoTracker, lamp-1, lamp-2, CD63 and Rab7. The NTHi-CV does not acquire Golgi- or autophagy-related markers. These observations were extended to immortalized and primary human airway epithelial cells. By using NTHi clinical isolates expressing different amounts of phosphocholine (PCho), a major modification of NTHi lipooligosaccharide, on their surfaces, and an isogenic lic1BC mutant strain lacking PCho, we showed that PCho is not responsible for NTHi intracellular location. In sum, this study indicates that NTHi can survive inside airway epithelial cells.

Se ha pretendido introducir en el centro un proceso innovador basado en una metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje centrada en el valor educativo de los grupos interactivos. Las actividades del Primer Ciclo se han agrupado en cinco tiempo de 20 minutos. En Segundo Ciclo y PGS se han organizado actividades para consolidar habilidades instrumentales y desarrollar valores, en tiempos de 30 minutos. Se ha observado una mejora tanto en la evolución curricular del alumnado como en el trabajo cooperativo, comportamiento y actitud reduciéndose las agresiones verbales y físicas, las continuas faltas de respeto y el absentismo que hasta ahora padecía el centro.

Recopilación de quince proyectos de dirección elaborados tras la realización de un curso para el desempeño de la función directiva celebrado en Cartagena a lo largo del curso escolar 95-96. En todos se intenta ofrecer una visión participativa de la comunidad escolar próxima a los alumnos y alejada de la gestión burocrática. El objetivo de estos proyectos es la mejora de la calidad educativa en los respectivos centros.

Publicaci??n que conmemora el IV aniversario de la primera edici??n de El Quijote y que ha reunido a un grupo de profesores de ??reas distintas (biolog??a, compensatoria, ingl??s, educaci??n f??sica, historia, integraci??n, lat??n y lengua) del IES Manuel T??rrega Escribano de la Regi??n de Murcia. Se trata de un proyecto literario y creativo que tras la lectura de El Quijote se propone a los alumnos para que inventasen relatos breves en los que se jugar?? con la mentira, la ficci??n o la paradoja. En casi todos los relatos hay predominio del tema amoroso. El acercamiento al lenguaje barroco les ha llevado a recrear el estilo cervantino y a utilizar los recursos literarios de la ??poca. Al juntar el Quijote a Sabina se ha avivado la creaci??n y excitado la imaginaci??n desencadanada por la canci??n de ??ste ??ltimo titulada 'Es mentira'.

Se realiza un recorrido por la cultura hídrica del municipio de Blanca (Murcia), analizando la evolución histórica de los sistemas y técnicas hidráulicas tradicionales de la huerta, los espacios agrarios y sistemas de riego. Tras un estudio detallado se pone de manifiesto el importante papel que desempeña el agua en este municipio a lo largo de la historia. El trabajo permite rescatar tradiciones de zonas rurales y de la huerta del Valle de Ricote y la Vega Media, respecto del manejo del agua, las técnicas empleadas y su evolución, es decir, todos aquellos elementos que configuran una cultura del agua.
