Al momento de fundamentar el pasaje, en el campo de la teoría social y la filosofía, del "paradigma de la filosofía de la conciencia" al paradigma de la "acción comunicativa", Jürgen Habermas desarrolló un breve y contundente ajuste de cuentas con lo que a partir de allí comenzó a ser llamado "la primera generación de la Escuela de Frankfurt". Esta fundamentación de un nuevo paradigma, basada en un giro lingüístico de orientación pragmático-racionalista, tuvo que confrontarse con algunas tesis relevantes del pensamiento de Theodor Adorno que Habermas consideraba necesario remover del horizonte de la Teoría Crítica para que ésta pudiese aspirar a un criterio de cientificidad válido. En el presente trabajo quisiéramos discutir esta interpretación habermasiana con la doble intención de poder reflexionar críticamente sobre algunos de los supuestos y efectos del "giro comunicativo" de Habermas y repensar las potencialidades del pensamiento de Adorno para las ciencias sociales contemporáneas que quedaron relativamente desplazadas a partir de la intervención habermasiana

Esta pesquisa estuda o fenômeno crise de identidade do jornalista e do Jornalismo motivada pelas mudanças conjunturais oferecidas e impostas a esta área, em sua trajetória brasileira, de variadas formas e em diversos momentos. A evolução da sociedade e dos meios, as inovações técnicas e tecnológicas, a necessidade de formação, bem como os ataques à exigência do diploma e o cancelamento deste em nome do direito ao livre pensamento, entre outros. Por conta disso, busca-se a compreensão do indivíduo jornalista e da construção de sua identidade, bem como da sustentação de sua imagem, aspectos que ajudam a perceber sua importância na tessitura social. O esforço em localizar elementos da identidade e do status desse profissional considerou a análise de discursos de vários autores, no traçado que vai da década de 50 à contemporaneidade (ano de 2005). Para tanto recorreu-se às seguintes ferramentas: o aporte teórico relacionado à vontade de potência sugerida por Friedrich Nietzsche e a Ação Comunicativa de Jürgen Habermas. Do primeiro, adotou-se um modelo híbrido relacionando unidades-temáticas e sentidos de valor; do segundo procurou-se a interface do diálogo mantido por meio de parâmetros normativos, de vivência, e da memória armazenada pelos jornalistas no decorrer do tempo. Os resultados obtidos mostram, nas três fases adotadas, (décs. 50-60, 70-80, e 90-05) a recorrência aos valores ligados à liberdade e à ética, em variadas proporções e intensidades. A questão técnica foi praticamente deixada de lado, parecendo ter sido assimilada, ao passo que as relacionadas à formação foram acionadas esporadicamente. Também percebe-se em variados momentos e de variadas formas, os ataques ao jornalista, geralmente desqualificando-o ou colocando-o sob suspeita. Por outro lado, em todos, os casos os jornalistas procuram defender-se sempre mobilizando recursos, que na maioria das vezes deixam abertas as possibilidades ao diálogo, assim como tentam recuperar sua importância mostrando seus valores por meio da capacidade que possuem de representar a sociedade.(AU)

The study aims to analyze the crime of the advertising process in the post-World War II period in Brazil, considering the Tribuna do Norte newspaper as one of the main vectors of this production in the public sphere of Rio Grande do Norte. The theoretical discussion is based on sociologists Jürgen Habermas and John Thompson, among others, that bring ideas about the relationship between the press and the public space. Our research in the journal is during the period from 1950, the year of the creation of this press, to 1970, in the context of AI-5 law. This period is considered the consolidation of this periodic in the populist context of Aluízio Alves, as well as the articulation with political changes after and before military coup in 1964. The publicity of crime is showed as a historical building, involving journalistic procedures, subjects and spaces. The publicity is related to commercial and political questions when some facts turned into a public event. In this sense, this research focuses on the publicity in its political dimensions. Related to the methodology, it is an empirical and qualitative study, based on literature, with a descriptive and interpretative approach, according to historian Tânia de Luca. The corpus of analyze is composed by notes, titles, news, reports, advertisements, image texts, among another textual genres. The chapters present a study about the building and changes of the populist journalism; the publicity of crime in democratic times; besides the military coup in 1964 and the changes of publicity of crime. The results of analyzes show that Tribuna do Norte, although has adopted more liberal pattern from North American presses, during the analyzed period has yet conservative and authoritative patterns from old potiguar presses. In this period, the political practice, in spite of diverse commercial interests, was an important element in the trajectory of this ambiguous journalism that has influencing, in a significant way, the production of news of crime.

This study aims to analyze citizen participation in state policy decisions, as an essential element of legitimacy in the branches of government, especially in the sphere of the Executive, in the context of deliberative democracy. But, this study still has the desideratum to understand the citizen's role in public life, especially in the sphere of the Executive Branch, in order to effect the Fundamental Right to Public Administration proba, efficient and honest. Thus, to achieve this mister, the proposal is to expose the pesamento the classic contractualist, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Rousseau about the legitimacy of governments, through the statutes, and the question of the general will and majority rule as well how to present the comments of Thomas Jefferson on popular sovereignty and dialogical citizen participation in matters of local interest. After, it will be studied the theories of Fundamental Rights in order to demonstrate the need for the Civil Service should be veiled in a more specific custody rights, given the deep crisis in the Public Administrative practice due, especially, corruption. On the other side, the fundamentality of management also covers the aspect of the development of cities, which decisively affects the development of man, which, to join a deliberative governance program needs to be politicized, adopting full participation, dialogue, as duty citizen. Later on, the theories of Fundamental Rights will be studied in order to demonstrate that the need for the Civil Service should be veiled in a more specific right custody, given the deep crisis in the Public Administrative practice due to, especially, the corruption. On the other hand, the fundamentality of management also covers the aspect of the development of cities, which decisively affects the development of man, who, to join a deliberative governance program, needs to be politicized, adopting full participation and dialogue as a citizen responsibility. Furthermore, taking as the major heart, it will be presented the doctrine of Jürgen Habermas whose Discourse Theory element is to be followed for the implementation of a broad deliberative and emancipatory democracy, with effective citizen participation. It will also be considered the Condorcet Constitution Project as a comparative link in the linking of the public deliberative will, and the Central Power, in the face of the Theory of “Sluice” Habermas. The proposal, based on communicative action, must allow a continuous flux and influx process of social interests towards the exercise of administrative power. The dialogical deal, brought to the center of the decisions, will allow discussions in the public scope, and may contribute to the legitimacy of government actions, inasmuch as it creates the feeling of politicization demanded by the man in a democratic state.

The purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the dramaturgic work of the Bulgarian author Elias Canetti, composed by the plays The Wedding, Comedy of Vanity and Their Days are Numbered, seeking to comprehend how the contemporary critic theories act on his trilogy, making a dialogue with theoretical references which may justify its approaching to the postmodernism. In this perspective, the theories by Jean-François Lyotard, Fredric Jameson and Jürgen Habermas contribute for a better comprehension of the postmodernity phenomenon. Undertaking Canetti’s notes and theatre with the philosophical concepts of Adorno’s negative aesthetics, we realise there is a space to reflect upon the theories which befell, like Foucault’s power relations in Micro-physics of Power and the discourses of resistance and deterritorialisation developed by Deleuze and Guattari in A Thousand Plateau and Anti-Oedipus. Even though Canetti’s plays were written between 1932 and 1956, all of them show a strong critic against modernism, and their characteristics did not help their recognition by the critics, which resulted in a rediscovery of Canetti’s plays after the author won the Nobel Prize in 1981.

Vladimir S. Soloviev (1853-1900) était un philosophe russe, poète et dissident de la période prérévolutionnaire. Comme celle de beaucoup de ses contemporains prérévolutionnaires russes, la pensée de Soloviev fut constamment sollicitée par la réfection imminente de l’État russe dans un futur très proche. Dans le contexte de cette époque, un examen des fondements théoriques du système juridique était peut-être inévitable. Néanmoins, dans la pensée russe, c’est seulement avec Soloviev que le droit cessa d’être un sujet spécialisé dans le domaine de l’administration, ne concernant guère les grands enjeux de société, et devint intimement lié au développement même de la philosophie morale et sociale. Au sein du projet philosophique systématique que propose Soloviev, le concept de l’unitotalité est envahissant, en termes épistémologique et social. Une pierre d’assise également fondamentale est le concept philosophico-religieux de la divino-humanité, à travers lequel la source de la dignité humaine est ultimement exprimée. La philosophie juridique de Soloviev, contenue pour l’essentiel dans un traité intitulé La Justification du bien : essai de philosophie morale (1897), a pour principal objet l’interaction entre le droit et la morale. Alors que l’objet et la portée du droit peuvent être directement déduits de principes moraux, le droit ne peut pas coïncider exactement avec la morale, compte tenu de son caractère plus limité, fini et coercitif. Pour Soloviev, le droit doit imposer un niveau minimum du bien en fournissant les conditions de base (par ex. la primauté du droit, le droit à une existence digne, la liberté de conscience) pour le libre développement des facultés humaines sans transposer directement en lui la plénitude complète du bien. La principale motivation de Soloviev réside dans la prémisse théologique sous-jacente que le bien ne peut jamais être complètement subsumé sauf par un acte conscient de liberté personnelle. En tandem, Soloviev souligne le rôle progressiste de l’État pour favoriser le libre perfectionnement humain. En tant que tel, Soloviev nous fournit certaines voies innovatrices dans le façonnement de la relation tant théorique que pratique entre le droit et la religion. À l’encontre d’un compromis entre objets, c’est-à-dire un arrangement de type interculturel situé entre fragmentation culturelle (multiculturalisme idéologique) et assimilation antireligieuse (laïcité militante), l’analyse de Soloviev présente la nécessité d’une conciliation temporelle, dans une perspective historique beaucoup plus large, où la laïcité est considérée non pas comme une finalité ontologique en soi, figée dans le temps, mais comme un moyen au service d’une destinée humaine en cours d’actualisation. Le cadre philosophico-juridique de Soloviev peut être utilement mis en dialogue avec des auteurs contemporains comme Stephen L. Carter, Charles Taylor, John Witte Jr, Ronald Dworkin et Jürgen Habermas. La contribution potentielle de Soloviev sur la place de la religion dans la société russe contemporaine est également mentionnée, avec un accent particulier sur le réexamen critique de l’héritage durable de la notion byzantine de la symphonie entre l’Église et l’État. Enfin, une théorie du fédéralisme inspirée par Soloviev est développée en appliquant, sur une base comparative, des avancées théoriques dans le domaine de l’histoire juridique global à l’évolution constitutionnelle du Canada et d’Israël.

This paper deals with the place of narrative, that is, storytelling, in public deliberation. A distinction is made between weak and strong conceptions of narrative. According to the weak one, storytelling is but one rhetorical device among others with which social actors produce and convey meaning. In contrast, the strong conception holds that narrative is necessary to communicate, and argue, about topics such as the human experience of time, collective identities and the moral and ethical validity of values. The upshot of this idea is that storytelling should be a necessary component of any ideal of public deliberation. Contrary to recent work by deliberative theorists, who tend to adopt the weak conception of narrative, the author argues for embracing the strong one. The main contention of this article is that stories not only have a legitimate place in deliberation, but are even necessary to formulate certain arguments in the fi rst place; for instance, arguments drawing on historical experience. This claim, namely that narrative is constitutive of certain arguments, in the sense that, without it, said reasons cannot be articulated, is illustrated by deliberative theory’s own narrative underpinnings. Finally, certain possible objections against the strong conception of narrative are dispelled.

El artículo analiza cómo Paul Celan, utilizando recursos arreferenciales y antimiméticos propios de la poésie pure y la poesía absoluta, desarrolla un modelo poético en el que la temporalidad y la memoria son determinantes. En el nuevo modelo, el lenguaje no constituye una realidad autónoma e inmanente; antes bien, se concreta en una acción dialógica y remite a una realidad extralingüística. El mismo texto poético configura un espacio del recuerdo, se erige en un lugar de memoria que, a través de las sedimentaciones históricas que arrastra el lenguaje, da testimonio de lo ocurrido.

The present study regards an applied social research (qualitative) performed in two institutions which lead children s cancer treatment in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The main goal of this study is, as of a literature review at works which characterizes the first generations of study about substantive rationality, to detect Decision Making process related aspects that may serve as a basis to elaborate analysis categories from decision making process, aggregating them into a new study that may provide an advance to the theme in administrative science. The academic works based on the analysis model created by Mauricio Serva served as a basis to deep research into such theme, which verifies the predominant rationality in eleven administrative internal processes in productive organizations. This dissertation intends to go beyond the identification of the predominant rationality by elaborating new categories of analysis, and making possible the continuity of the subject in administrative science. Based on Guerreiro Ramos s work, which sees a kind of ideal organization, as known as isonomies, this study still calls upon Karl Polanyi s thoughts, which with the objective of comprehending the independent economic phenomenon of the value that allows considering non-market economies, find that the economy of the men is submerged in his social relations; it also rescues the studies from Max Weber who investigates the meaning of social action to better understand the rationality, and refers to the study of Jürgen Habermas, who proposes a broader conception about rationality, within the theory of communicative action. As a result of this theme s review, seven analysis categories of the decision making process have been formulated. They were applied in the institutions that had been chosen and helped to detect the type of predominant rationality in the categories of the decision making process. The results confirm that, although the decisions making process involves rational elements, such as information, identification of alternatives, there are also specific values of each individual with his experience and view oh the world, permeated not only by instrumental rationality, but also by substantive rationality. The study has verified that two similar institutions may show different types of rationality in the decision making process, when decision factors may tend to instrumental rationality, according to administration classic way, as well as they may emerge from substantive rationality, thus contributing to the process of emancipation of the human being in his sphere of work

El presente trabajo busca contribuir a que los docentes de matemáticas, de la institución María de los Ángeles Cano Márquez, accedan a una herramienta teórica y metodológica para ser usada en la resolución de problemas matemáticos. El tipo de investigación en la que se inscribe este trabajo es cualitativo y está basado en el estudio de casos; su propósito es recoger antecedentes del enfoque socio-crítico y de la resolución de problemas matemáticos así como describir su estado actual, con la finalidad de observar cómo el enfoque socio-crítico y la resolución de problemas se complementan y aportan a los maestros, en la formación de educandos reflexivos y críticos que aspiren a impactar positivamente su entorno. En tal sentido, se aplicaron unas encuestas a los docentes de matemáticas de secundaria y de los grados 4° y 5° de primaria, así como a estudiantes de 7° y 9° grado, para luego realizar un análisis comparativo de los resultados obtenidos en ellas. Para el desarrollo del presente trabajo, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica de elementos que aporta la teoría crítica de la educación, en especial la escuela de Frankfurt con sus representantes Herbert Marcuse y Jürgen Habermas; luego se abordó la lectura de pensadores críticos como Paulo Freire, quienes oficiaron como referentes para un valioso aporte en esta tarea. Para el mismo efecto se han tomado elementos de las propuestas de las teorías de la educación matemática crítica. La información obtenida a partir de la aplicación de los instrumentos acá usados, permitió indagar sobre el nivel de apropiación de las diferentes categorías: el desarrollo del pensamiento autónomo, el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y reflexivo, el aprendizaje cooperativo, el desarrollo de la autoestima y la personalidad o el desarrollo del pensamiento complejo; ejercicio que propició la profundización en las teorías acerca de las mismas y sus posibles formas de aplicación. Finalmente, se encontraron puntos de convergencia entre la resolución de problemas y el enfoque socio-crítico, objetivo central del presente trabajo.

For the reader of this book it is reserved a historical walk through the efforts realized in the field of education to settle the necessary basis for the formation of a participating citizen in the socio-technical process and the dialogic and communicative action with the technological world. There are ten articles that discuss about many aspects of the relationship between education and technology, experienced by the author, who at any moment forgot thinkers with whom he spoke as Jürgen Habermas, Karl Marx, Karl Popper, Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer and Ruy Gama. You can dream and run away from the instrumental knowledge to incorporate the woven continuous experience in the practice and experience with people. In this atmosphere of concepts, characteristics and perspectives is the technological education, which runs through dialogue with technology, possession of knowledge and interdisciplinary. Talking to the technology, the subject interacts with society so that the demands are part of projects in this field of this champ of knowledge and the other sciences. It also means to explore knowledge and practices of professionals and educators working in this field full of normative and formative values.

My thesis situates itself within the field of the Philosophy of Worldviews. Specifically, it aims to address the normative question of what the task should be of such a philosophy when faced with the problem of conflicting beliefs between religious worldviews. To answer this question, I turn to the procedure of aporetical analysis, in short, aporetics. Firstly, aporetics offers a distinct method of consistency restoration within inconsistent sets on the basis of thesis rejection and thesis modification. Secondly, aporetics leads to an understanding of the availability of aporetic exits on the basis of epistemic criteria. On the one hand, this leads us to opt for an orientational monism/pluralism, which steers the middle course between the epistemic stances of exclusivism and pluralism. On the other hand, it allows us to identify epistemic criteria for worldview acquisition on the basis of three distinct superclasses. These superclasses can be derived from Jürgen Habermas' validity claims, and applied to the self-understanding of contemporary theories of religion.

Esta investigación se centra en un análisis comparativo de dos medios de circulación nacional, Diario El Telégrafo y Diario El Universo, con el fin de determinar el tratamiento de la noticia que cada rotativo le dio a un tema de interés general: el 30 de Septiembre de 2010. En el capítulo I realizamos un acercamiento a la relación entre la Prensa y el Gobierno. Se pudo evidenciar quehistóricamente en nuestro país, Ecuador, han existido roces entre ambos;por lo que creímos pertinente consultar autores y diarios de distintas épocas, que expongan esta situación y contextualicen nuestro trabajo. En el capítulo II, parasustentar la investigación, se revisaron varios teóricos; entre ellos, JürgenHabermas, con sus teorías de la Acción Comunicativa y de la de Opinión Pública, así como Elizabeth Noelle Neumann con la Espiral del Silencio. Nuestra tesis se apoya también en las teorías de la Aguja Hipodérmica y de la Semiótica. En el capítulo III, se inicia el análisis comparativo del tratamiento de la noticia entre Diario “El Universo” y Diario “El Telégrafo”, tomando como herramienta metodológica principal elanálisis de contenido, que sirve de base para el estudio de cada una de las ediciones de los periódicos revisados. En el capítulo IV se realizó el análisis de contenido desde lo cuantitativo en base a tablas estadísticas.Durante el tiempo investigado (30 de septiembre al 31 de octubre de 2010) se tomaron en cuenta todas las notas relacionadas a los acontecimientos que nos atañen. Finalmente, las conclusiones nos remiten a los siguientes conceptos después de la investigación: Diario El Universo y Diario El Telégrafo, son medios ideológicamente opuestos, aunque su agenda mediática ante una situación de tal magnitud se parece mucho. En el tratamiento que le da cada rotativo a las noticias, se evidenció en general mayor contundencia y análisis de los hechos en Diario El Universo, por la cantidad de información presentada, así como por el contraste de fuentes; sin que esto signifique el desmerecimiento al trabajo periodístico llevado a cabo por Diario El Telégrafo.

Based on Guerreiro Ramos s work, which sees a kind of ideal organization, as known as isonomies, this study still calls upon Karl Polanyi s thoughts, which with the objective of comprehending the independent economic phenomenon of the value that allows considering non-market economies, find that the economy of the men is submerged in his social relations; it also rescues the studies from Max Weber who investigates the meaning of social action to better understand the rationality, and refers to the study of Jürgen Habermas, who proposes a broader conception about rationality, within the theory of communicative action. As a result of this theme s review, seven analysis categories of the decision making process have been formulated. They were applied in the institutions that had been chosen and helped to detect the type of predominant rationality in the categories of the decision making process. The results confirm that, although the decisions making process involves rational elements, such as information, identification of alternatives, there are also specific values of each individual with his experience and view oh the world, permeated not only by instrumental rationality, but also by substantive rationality. The study has verified that two similar institutions may show different types of rationality in the decision making process, when decision factors may tend to instrumental rationality, according to administration classic way, as well as they may emerge from substantive rationality, thus contributing to the process of emancipation of the human being in his sphere of work
