El doble aspecto documental y artístico de la escritura de la historia ha quedado prácticamente oculto por la insistencia en el carácter científico de la disciplina y su expulsión subsiguiente del canon literario desde el siglo XIX. El cultivo de la historiografía ficticia o imaginaria (fictohistoria) surgió entonces como un modo de salvar la literariedad de la historia, en su calidad de género formal, mediante el uso del discurso historiográfico como procedimiento retórico para conseguir un efecto de historicidad en textos que son, no obstante, claramente ficticios, y que tienen a menudo un carácter satírico o admonitorio. Esto no está reñido con el hecho de que la mayoría manifieste en primer lugar una reflexión sobre el devenir de la humanidad, es decir, sobre la Historia. Los ejemplos de este género son relativamente abundantes y se pueden clasificar en varias categorías temáticas. Esta segunda parte del estudio se centra en la historia prospectiva.

Résumé : Dans une ère de concurrence économique accrue, les organisations éprouvent de plus en plus le besoin de mesurer le rendement de leurs employés, y compris celui de leurs dirigeants. À cette fin, l'évaluation demeure un outil de gestion privilégié. Au nombre des systèmes d'évaluation existants, le feed-back multi-source (FMS) — ou feed-back 360°— est en progression. Malheureusement, on ne connaît pas encore très bien l'incidence de ce type de système, la littérature étant plutôt muette sur ce qu'il donne concrètement et, particulièrement, sur la réaction des évalués subséquemment à l'obtention de leur rapport d'évaluation. Il ressort néanmoins de certaines études que les dirigeants, et surtout, les chefs se sentent laissés à eux-mêmes quant à l'évaluation de leurs compétences. Il y a quelques années, à la demande du Groupement des chefs d'entreprise du Québec (GCEQ), un instrument de type multi-source a été conçu par le Laboratoire de recherche sur la performance des entreprises (LaRePe), afin de mesurer spécifiquement la performance des chefs d'entreprise comme leader. À ce stade-ci, les promoteurs désirent mieux comprendre l'incidence de l'utilisation de leur outil : le PDG-Leadership. Pour combler les lacunes de la littérature, et aussi pour répondre au besoin du GCEQ, la présente thèse porte sur la réaction des chefs à la suite de la réception de leur rapport d'évaluation. L'objet de la recherche est double : il s'agit d'examiner les variables qui influencent le fait que les évalués entreprennent des actions à la suite de leur feed-back (considération théorique) et, d'autre part, de connaître davantage ces actions entreprises bref, ce que le système de feed-back multi-source XFMS) donne vraiment (considération pratique). Afin de mener à bien la recherche, une résidence a été réalisée. Elle a fourni le contexte pour élaborer un questionnaire d'enquête s'appliquant particulièrement aux chefs d'entreprise. L'enquête a permis de rejoindre 351 dirigeants ayant été évalués au moins une fois par l'entremise du PDG-Leadership. De ce nombre, 87 répondants, membres du Groupement se sont manifestés. Le cadre conceptuel utilisé consiste en une adaptation du modèle proposé par Smither, London et Reilly (2005a). comporte sept variables, desquelles ont été tirées cinq hypothèses de recherche. Quatre hypothèses ont été rejetées alors qu'une autre ne s'est avérée supportée que pour le groupe constitué des femmes faisant partie de l'échantillon. De plus, il est intéressant de constater que ce n'est pas le feed-back (rapport) qui déclenche l'acceptation puis les actions, mais une attitude personnelle représentée par la possibilité d'un changement perçue (V4). Chez les chefs, il ne se produit donc pas de réaction en chaîne comme le suppose le modèle théorique utilisé. Il semble que ce soit plutôt la possibilité de changement perçu qui est à la base du fait d'entreprendre des actions, laquelle s'apparente au sentiment d'auto-efficacité défini par Bandura (2007). Les données recueillies auront aussi servies à générer de nouvelles connaissances et à faire ressortir une liste de 112 actions que les chefs disent avoir engagées à la suite de l'obtention de leur rapport d'évaluation. Cette liste a permis de faire une catégorisation des actions posées. Les actions qu'ils entreprennent sont toutefois davantage dirigées vers l'amélioration de l'organisation que vers leur propre amélioration. Il s'agit là, d'une des contributions de la présente thèse.||Abstract : In a context of intense economic competition, organizations are increasingly using instruments of performance evaluation. The multi-source feedback or 360 [degrees] is one of those. The literature seems still silent on what type of evaluation is really about the reaction it generates among evaluated. In response to a request from the Groupement des chefs d'entreprise du Québec (GCEQ), a System of multi-source assessment was designed by the Laboratoire de recherche sur la performance des entreprises (LaRePe). The PDG-Leadership, specifically used to measure the skills of managers of SMLs as a leader. After some years of use, developers want to better understand its impact in order to improve it and make it even better. To address these theoretical and practical considérations, a survey was conducted among 87 business leaders from Quebec who had already been assessed using this tool. This research bas the purpose, the validation of a preliminary model proposed by Smither, London, and Reilly, 2005a, to examine the variables that influence that evaluated undertake actions as a result of their feedback and the other, to know these actions, in short, that the System of feed-back multi-source (FMS) really. From the analysis of data collected, a list of 112 shares was established. In turn, this led to a categorization of actions taken. Although the FMS system is effective, it should be noted that entrepreneurs seem to react differently from other catégories assessed.

A implantação de um pacemaker (PMD) ou de um cardioversor desfibrilhador (CDI) tornou-se num procedimento comum e relativamente simples, como tratamento para disritmias cardíacas. Apesar da implantação não implicar uma alteração importante no estilo de vida, está inerente a algumas preocupações e sentimentos de ansiedade, relacionadas sobretudo com as atividades de vida diária. A equipa de enfermagem do Serviço de Cardiologia do Hospital Fernando Fonseca mantém em funcionamento uma consulta de enfermagem ao portador de PMD e/ou CDI desde 2000. Nos últimos anos foram sendo realizadas algumas alterações no sentido de melhorar a consulta e os cuidados prestados a estes doentes. A consulta é realizada por enfermeiros com treino e experiência na área da aritmologia, ocorrendo 4-6 semanas após a implantação do referido dispositivo. Numa primeira consulta constatamos que muitos doentes, durante este período, limitaram ao máximo as suas atividades de vida aguardando pela consulta para esclarecer as suas dúvidas. De forma a encurtar o tempo entre a implantação do dispositivo e a 1ª consulta, a equipa de enfermagem implementou, em Janeiro de 2016 o follow-up telefónico, encontrando-se em fase de teste. Este follow-up é feito cerca de uma semana após a implantação do dispositivo e tem como objetivos fazer uma breve avaliação do estado do doente, despistar eventuais sinais inflamatórios da sutura operatória, fazer alguns ensinos, esclarecer dúvidas e, em caso de necessidade, encaminhar o doente aos cuidados de saúde, se a situação assim o justificar. A análise preliminar que fazemos foi bastante positivo tendo em conta o feed-back obtido pelos doentes /família. Neste contato telefónico foi possível resolver questões, algumas delas geradoras de ansiedade e, despistar eventuais situações de eventual infecção do local cirúrgico. Futuramente iremos reorganizar a consulta de enfermagem de forma a introduzir esta atividade contribuindo assim para a melhoria da qualidade dos cuidados.

Das Wort Transparenz ist aus den aktuellen, öffentlichen Debatten um Informationsfreiheit nicht mehr wegzudenken. Doch wer den Transparenzdiskurs ausschließlich auf politischer Ebene im Kontext von Whistleblowern, Wikileaks, NSA-Affäre oder Piraten-Partei verortet, verkennt, dass Transparenz, wie Han feststellt, als ein systematischer Zwang wirkt, der alle gesellschaftlichen Bereiche – also auch das Bildungswesen – erfasst und sie tiefgreifend verändert. [...] Die Hattie-Studie markiert hier einen besonderen Höhepunkt, da sie alle bisher veröffentlichten Studien an Umfang und Aufwand deutlich übertrifft und dabei den Anspruch erhebt, Lernen und Lehren sichtbar zu machen. Doch welches Recht hat der Sehende auf das Sichtbar-zu-Machende? Wer profitiert hier? Unter welchen Bedingungen kann der oder die Durch-Schaute diese Veräußerung des Selbst verweigern, d.h. seine bzw. ihre Undurchschaubarkeit geltend machen? Welche anthropologischen und gesellschaftlichen Konsequenzen folgen aus dem Anspruch, den Menschen durchschaubar zu machen? Und dürfen bzw. können wir die Preisgabe von Geheimnissen bedenkenlos fordern? Bevor diese Fragen rund um die Hattie-Studie erörtert werden, sei zum Zwecke eines tieferen Verständnisses zunächst nach der Herkunft dieses Transparenztraums und des damit verbundenen Strebens nach Durch-Sichtigkeit von Mensch und Gesellschaft gefragt. This paper presents the results of a study conducted among pre-service home economics teachers from the Faculty of Education of the University of Ljubljana with different levels of practical experience in teaching. The pre-service Home Economics teachers in the 3rd year of their studies had just completed their first class of teaching experience in contrast to the pre-service teachers from the 4th year of their faculty studies, who had conducted more teaching lessons. The results showed that the 4th-year pre-service teachers had fewer doubts and problems concerning the planning and conducting of a lesson. They also statistically significantly agreed that they are sufficiently prepared to teach than the 3rd-year pre-service teachers are. The results showed that the majority of the pre-service teachers agreed that the feedback from their colleagues was helpful for their professional development. The results suggest the importance of practical teaching experience in the context of professional development and the intention to continue a career in education. However, the results also revealed some critical points in the teacher’s development of competency. The results suggest problems related to the application of theoretical knowledge on the children’s development in practice and pro problems related to classroom management in specific situations. Interaction of rocks with fluids can significantly change mineral assemblage and structure. This so-called hydrothermal alteration is ubiquitous in the Earth’s crust. Though the behavior of hydrothermally altered rocks can have planet-scale consequences, such as facilitating oceanic spreading along slow ridge segments and recycling volatiles into the mantle at subduction zones, the mechanisms involved in the hydrothermal alteration are often microscopic. Fluid-rock interactions take place where the fluid and rock meet. Fluid distribution, flux rate and reactive surface area control the efficiency and extent of hydrothermal alteration. Fluid-rock interactions, such as dissolution, precipitation and fluid mediated fracture and frictional sliding lead to changes in porosity and pore structure that feed back into the hydraulic and mechanical behavior of the bulk rock. Examining the nature of this highly coupled system involves coordinating observations of the mineralogy and structure of naturally altered rocks and laboratory investigation of the fine scale mechanisms of transformation under controlled conditions. In this study, I focus on fluid-rock interactions involving two common lithologies, carbonates and ultramafics, in order to elucidate the coupling between mechanical, hydraulic and chemical processes in these rocks. I perform constant strain-rate triaxial deformation and constant-stress creep tests on several suites of samples while monitoring the evolution of sample strain, permeability and physical properties. Subsequent microstructures are analyzed using optical and scanning electron microscopy. This work yields laboratory-based constraints on the extent and mechanisms of water weakening in carbonates and carbonation reactions in ultramafic rocks. I find that inundation with pore fluid thereby reducing permeability. This effect is sensitive to pore fluid saturation with respect to calcium carbonate. Fluid inundation weakens dunites as well. The addition of carbon dioxide to pore fluid enhances compaction and partial recovery of strength compared to pure water samples. Enhanced compaction in CO2-rich fluid samples is not accompanied by enhanced permeability reduction. Analysis of sample microstructures indicates that precipitation of carbonates along fracture surfaces is responsible for the partial restrengthening and channelized dissolution of olivine is responsible for permeability maintenance.

Forty-five Large White gilts were used to study the effect of energy intake from 28 to 176 d of age on body composition and reproductive development. From 28 to 60 d, the gilts were fed ad libitum a 16.6 MJ DE/kg, 24% crude protein and 1.3% total lysine diet. From 61 d of age three dietary treatments were used; 1) ad libitum access to feed (15.6 MJ DE/kg, 21% crude protein and 1.07% total lysine) (H), 2) feed offered at 75% (M) of the previous days intake of H, and 3) feed offered at 60% (L) of the previous days intake of H. ADG from 61 to 176 d of age was (p <0.05) affected by treatment. Although live weight at 176 d of age did not differ (p >0.1) the H gilts had higher (p <0.08) carcass weights than the M or L gilts. Back fat depths were similar (p >0.1) for all treatments at 115 d of age, however by 176 d of age M and H gilts were fatter (p <0.1) than L gilts. The mean lipid deposition (LD) from 115 to 176 d of age for L gilts (78.9 g/d) was less (p <0.05) than for M gilts (143.6 g/d) and H gilts (135.6 g/d). There were no differences between treatments for protein deposition (PD) over the same period. More (p <0.05) H gilts (n=8) attained puberty (first observed estrus) than either M gilts or L gilts (n=4 for both). Follicle numbers were similar (p >0.1) across treatments. For gilts that attained puberty, H gilts had fewer (p <0.05) follicles (13.5) than M gilts (19.7) and L gilts (21.3). For gilts with follicular development, H gilts had the heaviest (458.7 g) reproductive tract weight (RTW). However, for those that attained puberty, L gilts had the heaviest RTW. RTW were lowest for those with no follicular development. Energy restriction had a negative impact on puberty attainment, i.e. it took longer to reach puberty. However, for gilts that attained puberty, the number of follicles was greater for those on lower feed intakes. It would appear that rate of fat deposition, but not necessarily the total amount of fat, plays an important role in puberty attainment.

This paper describes the port interconnection of two subsystems: a power electronics subsystem (a back-to-back AC/CA converter (B2B), coupled to a phase of the power grid), and an electromechanical subsystem (a doubly-fed induction machine (DFIM). The B2B is a variable structure system (VSS), due to presence of control-actuated switches: however, from a modelling simulation, as well as a control-design, point of view, it is sensible to consider modulated transformers (MTF in the bond graph language) instead of the pairs of complementary switches. The port-Hamiltonian models of both subsystems are presented and, using a power-preserving interconnection, the Hamiltonian description of the whole system is obtained; detailed bond graphs of all subsystems and the complete system are also provided. Using passivity-based controllers computed in the Hamiltonian formalism for both subsystems, the whole model is simulated; simulations are run to rest the correctness and efficiency of the Hamiltonian network modelling approach used in this work.

The work presented in this thesis concerns the dimensioning of an Energy Storage System (ESS) which will be used as an energy buffer for a grid-connected PV plant. This ESS should help managing the PV plant to inject electricity into the grid according to the requirements of the grid System Operator. It is desired to obtain a final production not below 1300kWh/kWp with a maximum ESS budget of 0.9€/Wp. The PV plant will be sited in Martinique Island and connected to the main grid. This grid is a small one where the perturbations due clouds in the PV generation are not negligible anymore. A software simulation tool, incorporating a model for the PV-plant production, the ESS and the required injection pattern of electricity into the grid has been developed in MS Excel. This tool has been used to optimize the relevant parameters defining the ESS so that the feed-in of electricity into the grid can be controlled to fulfill the conditions given by the System Operator. The inputs used for this simulation tool are, besides the conditions given by the System Operator on the allowed injection pattern, the production data from a similar PV-plant in a close-by location, and variables for defining the ESS. The PV production data used is from a site with similar climate and weather conditions as for the site on the Martinique Island and hence gives information on the short term insolation variations as well as expected annual electricity production. The ESS capacity and the injected electric energy will be the main figures to compare while doing an economic study of the whole plant. Hence, the Net Present Value, Benefit to Cost method and Pay-back period studies are carried on as dependent of the ESS capacity. The conclusion of this work is that it is possible to obtain the requested injection pattern by using an ESS. The design of the ESS can be made within an acceptable budget. The capacity of ESS to link with the PV system depends on the priorities of the final output characteristics, and it also depends on which economic parameter that is chosen as a priority.

Maize gluten feed (MGF) is a co-product of wet milling of maize, and is composed of structures that remain after most starch, gluten and germ has been extracted from the grain. Although currently used in dog foods, its digestibility and energy values have not been documented. Two techniques were used to determine nutrient digestibility of MGF for dog foods. Both techniques used extruded diets fed to Beagle dogs, with six replicates per diet. The first study used a difference method in which 300 g/kg of a reference diet was replaced by MGF. Based on the difference method, the coefficient of total tract apparent digestibility (CTTAD) of MGF was 0.53 for dry matter (DM), 0.69 for crude protein (CP), 0.74 for fat, 0.99 for starch, and 0.55 for gross energy (GE). The calculated metabolizable energy (ME) of MGF was 7.99 MJ/kg (as-fed). The second study used a regression method and included a basal diet and a basal diet with 70, 140 and 210 g MGF/kg of diet (as a substitute for maize starch). Maize gluten feed inclusion resulted in a linear reduction of CTTAD of DM (R(2)=0.99; P<0.001), CP (R(2)=0.95; P=0.002), fat (R(2)=0.87; P=0.009). starch (R(2)=0.81; P<0.001), and GE (R(2)=0.99; P<0.001). Faecal production increased linearly from 56 g to 107 g/dog/d (R(2)=0.99; P<0.001), with a linear reduction of faecal DM (R(2)=0.99: P<0.001) and a linear increase in faecal lactic acid concentration (P<0.02). Both urine (R(2)=0.77; P=0.029) and faeces (R(2)=0.92: P=0.019) showed a linear reduction in pH. Results of ingredient MAD obtained by the regression and difference methods were close (6% or less of variation) for CP, fat, and starch, and also for ME content (1.4% higher for the difference method), but the two methods disagreed on calculated CTTAD of DM and organic matter. The high dietary fiber content of MGF (382 g/kg) may explain the low digestibility of this ingredient. Maize gluten feed could be a useful ingredient for formulations designed to have low energy or reduce the urine pH of dogs. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

O presente estudo avaliou a digestibilidade aparente da proteína e da energia de ingredientes (farelo de soja, farinha de peixe, farelo de trigo e milho) por juvenis de apaiari (Astronotus ocellatus) usando dois diferentes intervalos de coleta (30 min. e 12h). Os 160 juvenis de apaiari utilizados (22,37 ± 3,06 g de peso corporal) foram divididos em quatro tanques rede plásticos e cilíndricos, cada um colocado em um tanque de alimentação de 1.000 L. O experimento foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 4 (2 intervalos de coleta de fezes e 4 ingredientes foram) com quatro repetições. Os testes estatísticos não detectaram efeito da interação entre o intervalo de coleta e tipo de ingrediente nos coeficientes de digestibilidade. O intervalo de coleta não afetou a digestibilidade da proteína e da energia. As características físicas das fezes dos juvenis de apaiari aparentemente as tornam menos sensíveis à perda de nutrientes por lixiviação, permitindo intervalos de coleta maiores. A digestibilidade da proteína dos ingredientes avaliados foi semelhante, mostrando que a digestibilidade aparente de ingredientes animais e vegetais por juvenis de apaiari é eficiente. Os coeficientes de digestibilidade da energia foram maiores para a farinha de peixe e o farelo de soja comparado a farelo de trigo e milho. Ingredientes ricos em carboidratos (farelo de trigo e milho) apresentaram os piores coeficientes de digestibilidade da energia e, portanto, não são usados eficientemente pelos juvenis de apaiari.
