En aquest treball s’exposa l’estudi realitzat en un centre educatiu ordinari d’Educació Secundària Obligatòria. En aquest centre, el curs acadèmic 2002-2003 s’hi implanten dues unitats d’educació especial amb la finalitat d’aconseguir una escolarització amb un caràcter més normalitzat per als alumnes que les integren. Fruit d’aquesta implantació se’ns ofereix l’oportunitat de realitzar un estudi al voltant del funcionament d’aquest procés. Degut a la importància que tenen en els processos d’aquesta índole, entre d’altres motius, decidim decantar-nos per l’estudi de les actituds del professorat vers les pràctiques inclusives. Així doncs en aquest treball s’hi recullen quines són les actituds dels professorat d’aquest IES, en dos moments diferents al llarg del temps, al voltant de diferents aspectes relacionats amb les pràctiques inclusives, l’instrument dissenyat per a recollir aquestes actituds, així com també les pràctiques amb caràcter inclusiu que s’han dut a terme en aquest IES.

Aquest treball de recerca consisteix en un estudi sobre les preferències vocacionals expressades per adolescents que cursen 4t d’Educació Secundària Obligatòria, amb una anàlisi comparativa per sexes. Es tracta d’un estudi de cas realitzat en un centre del Vallès Oriental, de caràcter longitudinal, en el que s’ha recollit durant 7 cursos acadèmics consecutius les seves preferències vocacionals a través de la prova d’interessos Kuder-C. L'objectiu ha estat comparar les preferències expressades pels nois i per les noies, les influències dels models de gènere estereotipats, així com l’existència o no de diferències entre ambdós col·lectius amb el pas del temps.

Aquest projecte és una continuació lògica de la investigació realitzada durant l’any 2005. Ha consistit en l’aplicació del programa a un conjunt de joves infractors de les terres de Lleida i el seu seguiment per conèixer la possible reincidència en el delicte. L’objectiu general era disposar d’un instrument d’intervenció eficaç en Medi Obert per al tractament de menors amb mesures judicials, de manera que els menors es vegin beneficiats pel contingut d’un programa que augmenta la competència i autoestima prosocial. L’estudi s’ha fet amb 10 menors, 5 en el grup experimental i 5 en el grup de control, dintre de la població que al començament de 2006 es trobava sota mesura imposada pel jutge de llibertat vigilada o sota mesura de realització de tasques socioeducatives. Els resultats del seguiment dels menors que han realitzat el programa porta als autors a concloure que la taxa de reincidència en el delicte és molt inferior en els joves que han seguit el programa que en els que no l’han seguit. Aquesta taxa també és inferior a la mitjana de reincidència per mesures de medi obert de Lleida i Catalunya

En este estudio prospectivo observacional se evaluaron 60 pacientes diagnosticados de glioma cerebral y sometidos a algún tipo de intervención quirúrgica como parte de su tratamiento. En ellos se analizaron las variables demográficas, clínicas, la localización de las lesiones, el volumen tumoral basal, así como, escalas de calidad de vida y el efecto del grado de resección tumoral (biopsia, resección parcial y resección total/subtotal) sobre las mismas. Los hallazgos de nuestro estudio confirmaron el beneficio de las resecciones tumorales amplias en la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Se discuten las dificultades técnicas de este tipo de estudio y su importancia de la incorporación de estas escalas en futuros estudios neuro-oncológicos.

El presente trabajo de investigación trata de caracterizar la evolución de la interlengua de los estudiantes sinohablantes que han estudiado español en Cuba. Este trabajo selecciona una muestra de estudiantes ya graduados de la Universidad de la Habana (UH) y efectúa un análisis de errores de estos estudiantes. A través de una comparación entre los resultados de esta muestra y otra formada por estudiantes chinos que actualmente están estudiando español en la UH se realiza el propósito fundamental de este trabajo

S’identifiquen les barreres físiques transversals del curs principal d’aquest riu, es valora la connectivitat longitudinal mitjançant l’índex de connectivitat fluvial (ICF) i es proposen mesures correctores per tal de millorar la migració de l’anguila i el moviment natural d’altres espècies

Background: Awareness of the negative effects of smoking on children's health prompted a decrease in the self-reporting of parental tobacco use in periodic surveys from most industrialized countries. Our aim is to assess changes between ETS exposure at the end of pregnancy and at 4 years of age determined by the parents' self-report and measurement of cotinine in age related biological matrices.Methods: The prospective birth cohort included 487 infants from Barcelona city (Spain). Mothers were asked about maternal and household smoking habit. Cord serum and children's urinary cotinine were analyzed in duplicate using a double antibody radioimmunoassay. Results: At 4 years of age, the median urinary cotinine level in children increased 1.4 or 3.5 times when father or mother smoked, respectively. Cotinine levels in children's urine statistically differentiated children from smoking mothers (Geometric Mean (GM) 19.7 ng/ml; 95% CI 16.83–23.01) and exposed homes (GM 7.1 ng/ml; 95% CI 5.61–8.99) compared with non-exposed homes (GM 4.5 ng/ml; 95% CI 3.71–5.48). Maternal self-reported ETS exposure in homes declined in the four year span between the two time periods from 42.2% to 31.0% (p < 0.01). Nevertheless, most of the children considered non-exposed by their mothers had detectable levels of cotinine above 1 ng/mL in their urine.Conclusion: We concluded that cotinine levels determined in cord blood and urine, respectively, were useful for categorizing the children exposed to smoking and showed that a certain increase in ETS exposure during the 4-year follow-up period occurred.

Under the Dynamic Model of Multilingualism multilinguals are especially vulnerable to language attrition. It was the aim of the present study to verify if this was the case and to observe whether the different linguistic skills (receptive vs. descriptive) and the different linguistic levels (syntactic, lexical, morphological, etc.) would be affected equally.Data were gathered longitudinally by means of a language test for the subject’s reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as her knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Although the overall accuracy remained intact and no proof for attrition in the receptive skills was found, the productive skills - mainly fluency - were shown to have suffered from language attrition. This was demonstrated by an increase in the number of pauses, hesitations, repetitions and self-corrections among others and decrease in the percentage of error-free clauses and decrease in the clause length, in oral and written fluency respectively.

This paper presents a method for the measurement of changes in health inequality and income-related health inequality over time in a population.For pure health inequality (as measured by the Gini coefficient) andincome-related health inequality (as measured by the concentration index),we show how measures derived from longitudinal data can be related tocross section Gini and concentration indices that have been typicallyreported in the literature to date, along with measures of health mobilityinspired by the literature on income mobility. We also show how thesemeasures of mobility can be usefully decomposed into the contributions ofdifferent covariates. We apply these methods to investigate the degree ofincome-related mobility in the GHQ measure of psychological well-being inthe first nine waves of the British Household Panel Survey (BHPS). Thisreveals that dynamics increase the absolute value of the concentrationindex of GHQ on income by 10%.

The longitudinal dipole response of a quantum dot has been calculated in the far-infrared regime using local-spin-density-functional theory. We have studied the coupling between the collective spin and density modes as a function of the magnetic field. We have found that the spin dipole mode and single-particle excitations have a sizable overlap, and that the magnetoplasmon modes can be excited by the dipole spin operator if the dot is spin polarized. The frequency of the dipole spin edge mode presents an oscillation which is clearly filling factor (v) related. We have found that the spin dipole mode is especially soft for even-n values. Results for selected numbers of electrons and confining potentials are discussed.

A series of molecular dynamics simulations of simple liquid binary mixtures of soft spheres with disparate-mass particles were carried out to investigate the origin of the marked differences between the dynamic structure factors of some liquid binary mixtures such as the Li0.7Mg0.3 and Li0.8Pb0.2 alloys. It is shown that the facility for observing peaks associated with fast-propagating modes in the partial Li-Li dynamic structure factor of Li0.8Pb0.2 should be mainly attributed to the structure of this alloy, which is characterized by an incipient ABAB ordering as found in molten salts. The longitudinal dispersion relations at intermediate wave vectors obtained from the longitudinal current spectra are very similar for the two alloys and reflect the existence of both fast-and slow-propagating modes of kinetic character associated with light and heavy particles, respectively. The influence of the hardness of the repulsive potential cores as well as the composition of the mixture on the longitudinal collective modes is also discussed.

BACKGROUND: Studies in bipolar disorder (BD) to date are limited in their ability to provide a whole-disease perspective--their scope has generally been confined to a single disease phase and/or a specific treatment. Moreover, most clinical trials have focused on the manic phase of disease, and not on depression, which is associated with the greatest disease burden. There are few longitudinal studies covering both types of patients with BD (I and II) and the whole course of the disease, regardless of patients' symptomatology. Therefore, the Wide AmbispectiVE study of the clinical management and burden of Bipolar Disorder (WAVE-bd) (NCT01062607) aims to provide reliable information on the management of patients with BD in daily clinical practice. It also seeks to determine factors influencing clinical outcomes and resource use in relation to the management of BD. METHODS: WAVE-bd is a multinational, multicentre, non-interventional, longitudinal study. Approximately 3000 patients diagnosed with BD type I or II with at least one mood event in the preceding 12 months were recruited at centres in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela. Site selection methodology aimed to provide a balanced cross-section of patients cared for by different types of providers of medical aid (e.g. academic hospitals, private practices) in each country. Target recruitment percentages were derived either from scientific publications or from expert panels in each participating country. The minimum follow-up period will be 12 months, with a maximum of 27 months, taking into account the retrospective and the prospective parts of the study. Data on demographics, diagnosis, medical history, clinical management, clinical and functional outcomes (CGI-BP and FAST scales), adherence to treatment (DAI-10 scale and Medication Possession Ratio), quality of life (EQ-5D scale), healthcare resources, and caregiver burden (BAS scale) will be collected. Descriptive analysis with common statistics will be performed. DISCUSSION: This study will provide detailed descriptions of the management of BD in different countries, particularly in terms of clinical outcomes and resources used. Thus, it should provide psychiatrists with reliable and up-to-date information about those factors associated with different management patterns of BD. Esta comunicación, que presenta el estudio de la evolución de las creencias, representacionesy saberes (en adelante CRS) de una estudiante entre el primer año y el segundo de formaciónuniversitaria, forma parte de un estudio longitudinal más amplio que analiza los CRS de sieteestudiantes del Grado de Maestro de Educación Infantil y ocho del Grado de Maestro de EducaciónPrimaria de la Universitat de Barcelona sobre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la lecturay la escritura. El objetivo principal que enmarca la investigación es estudiar en profundidadlos sistemas de CRS para poder comprenderlos, compararlos e identificar los momentos clave de tensión y cambio con el fin de realizar aportaciones que ayuden a mejorar el sistema de formación inicial de los maestros.
