Regio- and stereoselective microwave-assisted synthesis of 5-alkyl-4-alkenyl-4-phenyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones

Chiral symmetrical alk-2-yne-1,4-diols have been stereoselectively transformed into 5-alkyl-4-alkenyl-4-phenyl-1,3-oxazolidin- 2-ones, which are precursors of quaternary α-amino β-hydroxy acids. The key step was the cyclization of the bis(tosylcarbamates) of 2- phenylalk-2-yne-1,4-diols, easily obtained from the starting chiral diols. These cyclizations were accomplished with complete regioselectivity and up to 92:8 dr in the presence of catalytic amounts of Ni(0) or Pd (II) derivatives under microwave heating.

Bifurcation of relative equilibria of the (1+3)-body problem

We study the relative equilibria of the limit case of the pla- nar Newtonian 4{body problem when three masses tend to zero, the so-called (1 + 3){body problem. Depending on the values of the in- nitesimal masses the number of relative equilibria varies from ten to fourteen. Always six of these relative equilibria are convex and the oth- ers are concave. Each convex relative equilibrium of the (1 + 3){body problem can be continued to a unique family of relative equilibria of the general 4{body problem when three of the masses are su ciently small and every convex relative equilibrium for these masses belongs to one of these six families.

Programa de salud psicológica para tutorías de 3º y 4º de la E.S.O. en el colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen

El siguiente proyecto está pensado para trabajar en las tutorías de 3º y 4º de la E.S.O. Se trata de un proyecto para incluir dentro del plan tutorial del centro. El planteamiento inicial es proponer una herramienta para trabajar temas relacionados con la salud, más explícitamente con la salud psicológica. Nos centraremos en trabajar temas relacionados con las habilidades sociales y temas relacionados con la afectividad y la salud de los alumnos/as del centro.

We recently demonstrated that immature dendritic cells (DC) produce α-defensins1-3 and that α-defensins1-3 modulate DC generation and maturation. Since DC-HIV interaction plays a critical role during the first steps of HIV infection, we investigated the possible impact of α-defensins1-3 production by DC on disease progression.

Universality of the 1/3 shot-noise suppression factor in nondegenerate diffusive conductors

Shot-noise suppression is investigated in nondegenerate diffusive conductors by means of an ensemble Monte Carlo simulator. The universal 1/3 suppression value is obtained when transport occurs under elastic collision regime provided the following conditions are satisfied: (i) The applied voltage is much larger than the thermal value; (ii) the length of the device is much greater than both the elastic mean free path and the Debye length. By fully suppressing carrier-number fluctuations, long-range Coulomb interaction is essential to obtain the 1/3 value in the low-frequency limit.
