When performing a full calculation within the standard model (SM) or its extensions, it is crucial that one utilizes a consistent set of signs for the gauge couplings and gauge fields. Unfortunately, the literature is plagued with differing signs and notations. We present all SM Feynman rules, including ghosts, in a convention-independent notation, and we table the conventions in close to 40 books and reviews.

Patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) have an excess risk of certain gastrointestinal cancers. Much work has focused on colon cancer in IBD patients, but comparatively less is known about other more rare cancers. The European Crohn's and Colitis Organization established a pathogenesis workshop to review what is known about these cancers and formulate proposals for future studies to address the most important knowledge gaps. This article reviews the current state of knowledge about small bowel adenocarcinoma, ileo-anal pouch and rectal cuff cancer, and anal/perianal fistula cancers in IBD patients.

This paper is about a design of an urban area Darrieus VAWT, having self-start ability due to an innovative profile design named EN0005, avoiding the need of extra components or external electricity feed-in. An approach is presented to study the ability of a blade profile to offer self-start ability. Methodologies applied for the blade body and for profile development are reported. Field tests and main conclusions are presented to persuade for the arrangement of this design. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Wireless networks have joined to the sports venues, offering to the public a set of facilities, such as the access to email, news, and also to use the social networking, uploading their photos. New challenges have emerged to provide Wi-Fi in this densely populated stadiums, such as increasing capacity and coverage. In this article, an access point antenna array to cover a sector of a stadium is presented. Its structure, designed in a low cost material allows to reduce the total manufacturing costs, an important factor due to the large number of antennas required in these venues. The material characteristic, the broad bandwidth of operation (300 MHz), along with to the low side lobe levels, important to reduce interference between sectors, makes this antenna well-positioned for wireless communications in these particular locals. Cellulose acetate (CA)-silver (Ag) nanocomposite asymmetric membranes were prepared via the wet-phase inversion method by dispersing polyvinylpirrolydone-protected Ag nanoparticles in the membrane casting solutions of different compositions. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized ex situ and added to the casting solution as a concentrated aqueous colloidal dispersion. The effects of the dispersion addition on the structure and on the selective permeation properties of the membranes were studied by comparing the nanocomposites with the silver-free materials. The casting solution composition played an important role in the adequate dispersion of the silver nanoparticles in the membrane. Incorporation of nanoscale silver and the final silver content resulted in structural changes leading to an increase in the hydraulic permeability and molecular weight cut-off of the nanocomposite membranes. Oxidovanadium complexes and, to a less extent, some non-oxido ones, are widely used as catalysts or catalyst precursors for various oxidative catalytic reactions by H2O2, (BuOOH)-Bu-t or O-2 under mild conditions. Oxidation reactions (oxidation of alkanes and alcohols, epoxidation of alkenes and allylic alcohols, oxidative bromination, sulfoxidation and oxidative Strecker reactions) of organic compounds are the most relevant ones and are reviewed considering the recent advances in the last five years (2010-2014). The main types of both homogeneous and supported vanadium catalysts and the most efficient catalytic systems in the different reactions are presented and compared. The proposed mechanisms of various catalytic oxidation processes are also outlined. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
