Contribución al conocimiento melitopalinológico de Sierra Morena

Sc ha estudiado al microscopio óptico el sedimento de once muestras de miel de diversas localidades del este de Sierra Morena. Se pone de manifiesto que, en este área, el néctar de flores es la principal fuenle de miel para Apis mellifera,siendo la mielada poco importante. Echium plantagineum, Lavandula stoechas y Eucalyptus camaldulensis son las principales fuentes de miel en este área, en tanto que Cistus ladanifer, C. albidus, Olea europaea y Quercus sp. lo son de polen.

Ecología de algunas especies de crisofíceas del sureste de España

Se presentan los primeros datos sobre Crisoficeas obtenidos en estudios algológicos llevdos a cabo sobre los sistemas acuáticos asociados a la cuenca del río Segura, durante los aflos1983-1985 (Aboal, 1987). Las muestras recolectadas pertenecen fundamentalmente a algas epifiticas o tetoplanctónicas. Además de la localización exacta de las estaciones de muestreo, se aportan datos sobre los valores medios, máximos y mínimos de los principales factores fisico-químicos del agua para cada especie.

Umbilicaria microphylla (Laur.) Massal. (Ascomycotina, Lichenes) en el Pirineo catalán (Gerona, España)

Se da a conocer la presencia de Umbilicaria microphylla (Laur.) Massal. en el piso alpino del Pirineo catalán. Se comenta la corologia de esta especie en Europa, asi como algunos aspectos floristicos y fitosociológicos referentes a la nueva localidad. Se incluyen los resultados del análisis químico mediante HPLC de las muestras recolectadas.

Sobre Melanelia acetabulum (Neck.) Essl. en la Península Ibérica: caracterización química y distribución

Se estudia la distribución peninsular y la composición en derivados del b-orcinol de Melanelia acetabulum (Neck.) Essl. Las muestras mediterráneas analizadas presentan constantemente ácidos connorestícticos y norestíctico, careciendo de ácido salacínico y atranorina. Las muestras de la única localidad eurosiberiana estudiada presentan las mismas depsidonas, pero además contienen pequeñas cantidades de atranorina. Se discute, en base a estos resultados, la relación entre Melanelia acetabulum y M. koflerae (Clauzade & Poelt) Essl.

Establecimiento de una red de valoración de pureza atmosférica en la provincia de La Coruña (España) mediante bioindicadores liquénicos

Se estudia la flora liquénica epifita de los alrededores de la Central T6rmica de Meirama (La Coruña) estableciendo índices biocenóticos (IPA. Diversidad y Frecuencia) y proponiéndose una escala cualitativa de toxisensíbilidad. Se adjunta un catálogo que comprende todos los líquenes epífitos reconocidos, entre los cuales hay 70 nuevas citas para la región (muestras testigo depositadas en MAF-Lich.).

Tiflocolitis syndrome acute for "Klebsiella" sp. in a spanish pure breed horse. A case report

Were study a horse (Equus caballus), Purebred Spanish Horse, 6 years old, intact male sex, weight about 550kg, from equestrian center in Fregenal Sierra-Extremadura, Spain. History of acute diarrhea, are apply conventional treatment (hydration, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic). Physical examination showed severe profuse, fetid diarrhea deep red, tachypnea. The physiological parameters were: heart rate 60 bpm, respiratory rate 39 rpm and mucous cyanotic. Temperature: 40°C. Hematological examination showed severe leucopenia, decreased total serum protein, albumin and globulin also diminished. Serum chemistry evidenced severe hyponatremia and hypokalemia, with high levels of chlorine indicating metabolic acidosis. A stool analysis, which was negative and showed no eggs or larvae in the samples studied was performed. The microbial culture allowed the isolation of Klebsiella sp. and susceptibility testing showed sensitivity to ampicillin, Cetafzidine, Ciprofloxacin, Cefepine, gentamicin, imipenem, meropenem, Piperaciclina, piperacillin / tazobactam and trimethoprim sulfa resistance. The horse presented systemic complications associated with endotoxemia and death 36 hours after the onset of diarrhea. At necropsy, severe bleeding was observed enterotiflocolitis. The histological sections showed proliferative enteritis characterized by lymphocyte and mononuclear inflammatory infiltrate plasmocytorious mucosa and submucosa, coagulation necrosis, bacteria and short rod type morphology with no specific grouping. In conclusion a case of acute syndrome enterotiflocolitis reported Klebsiella sp. on a horse Purebred Spanish.

This paper provides a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the profile of the entrepreneur who decides to start business through a labor society in the context of the Autonomous Community of Andalucia. Thus, first the Social Economy is presented as an important alternative to creating and promoting employment, which seeks to combine economic and social objectives in the development of activities. Subsequently, focusing on labor companies, updated its importance in the regional economy for later data and through the analysis of two samples are available, set the attributes or most significant characteristics of these entrepreneurs.

Teachers’ perception of visual deficiencies and their impact on students

The sense of vision is people’s main source of information acquisition, hence the importance of a right diagnosis and correction, if necessary, of any faults for proper learning, especially in the early years of schooling. This article discusses the results of a survey of teachers in Andalusian schools that aimed at highlighting their knowledge of their students’ possible visual deficiencies, and its possible impact on school performance. The results indicate that such knowledge is generally limited to the type of refractive anomalies, and that they think that such anomalies are well treated in their students. Despite the importance they attach to these deficiencies on school learning, they think that other factors may have a greater role. They also consider that better training on this topic is necessary.

The influence of video games with apocalyptic content in adolescents

The aim of this study is the dissertation and analysis of the influence (sociological, psychological and cultural) exerted on adolescents by the concept of Apocalypse. Become a key thought of visual culture, the called doomsday theory achieves one of its highest expressions in video games, possibly the favorite entertainment for young people in their leisure time. The results obtained in this research represent a first approach to the subject through the selected samples, two secondary schools from the city of Seville with disparate locations and divergent socioeconomic backgrounds. To reinforce the comparative study, we have included issues related to parental control, principal gaming platforms used by respondents or the number of hours dedicated to this type of entertainment. The conclusions demonstrate an irremediable attraction from our youth towards apocalyptic universes, plotter consciously with leisure and entertainment as escape from their routine of everyday life.

Artistic proposals of visual arts of Ecuador since the second half of the twentieth century to the present

This article is the result of a research that analyzes the most important artistic proposals of Visual Arts in Ecuador, since the second half of the twentieth century to the present. Through literature review and data collection held in the city of Guayaquil, we could determine their influence and impact on the circuit of contemporary art. The instruments used for data collection were depth interviews that were done to experts in the field. Like surveys of attendees at different artistic events (exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, seminars), allowed to establish the social interests of those proposals. The methodology was mixed approach, quantitative and qualitative data were used.
