Sign language in Spanish television. Study on reception

The present article analyses the preferences of the deaf who use sign language and are users of the TV interpretation service to sign language, as well as the characteristics with which TV channels provide that service in television in Spain. The objective is to establish whether the way in which the aforementioned accessibility service is provided matches the preferences of users or differ from them. The analysis presents the opinion on this service of the deaf that use the Spanish sign language as their first language for communication. A study has also been conducted on the programmes broadcast with sign language during week 10-16/03/2014. The main data collected reveal that the deaf are dissatisfied with broadcasting times. They ask for news programmes with sign language, they would rather have the interpretation carried out by deaf people who use sign language and they prefer that the interpreter is the main image on screen. Concerning the analysis of the programmes broadcast, the study shows that the majority of programmes with sign language are broadcast at night, they are entertainment programmes, the interpretation is carried out by hearing people who use sign language and that their image is displayed in a corner of the screen.

Estudio del Cheilanthion hispanicae Rivas Goday 1955 em. Sáenz de Rivas & Rivas-Martínez 1979 y comunidades afines, en el Sector Orensano-Sanabriense (Provincia Carpetano-Ibérico-Leonesa)

Se analiza el comportamiento fitosociológico de las comunidades vegetales caracterizadas por la presencia de los taxones Cheilanthes tinaei Todaro y Ch. hispanica Mett. en el Sector Orensano-Sanabriense (Provincia Carpetano-lbérico-Leonesa), proponiendo para ellas la asociación Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei y las subasociaciones: Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei cheilanthetosum hispanicae nova y Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei cheilanthetosum guanchicae nova.Comentamos brevemente la asociación Phagnalo saxatile-Rumicetum indurati Rivas-Martínez inéd, que contacta topográficamente con la asociación anteriormente propuesta.Se aportan datos sobre el comportamiento fitosociológico de Cheilanthes pteridioides (Reichard) C. Anthroponyms in health care interventions

Anthroponyms in Health Care Interventions. This research aims to examine the personal names used by health care professionals to refer to and speak with patients in medical consultations. To this end, a large corpus was created with anthroponyms used in this type of settings and extracted from a variety of sources. The data obtained were then analyzed, classified, described and explained. Our hypothesis is that personal names are relevant elements in the relationship between the health care provider and the patient; however, their use is decidedly complex. In the following pages we will discuss this designative complexity by way of an introduction, an analysis of anthroponymic studies and a conclusion.

Datos sobre la vegetación de las "turberas de esfagnos" galaico-asturianas y orocantábricas.

Eneste trabajo se presenta un análisis de la vegetación de las «turberas de esfagnos» de Asturias y norte de León (España). Se reconocen dos modelos de ecosistema turfófilo bien diferenciados: uno galaico-asturiano colino y submontano y otro orocantábrico, de óptimo altimontano. Se proponen algunos sintáxones nuevos para incluir las comunidades vegetales reconocidas en ambos y se hace una discusión sobre la sintaxonomía de este tipode vegetación.

La música práctica en san Agustín: "vestigium" y "signum"

En distintos momentos de su producción intelectual, Agustín se refirió al asunto de la música. En este artículo mostraremos que Agustín uso dos esquemas conceptuales distintos para describir el fenómeno de la música práctica en su relación con el mundo espiritual, el esquema de las Artes Liberales y el de la teoría del signo, y que en virtud de ello la música sería concebida de dos modos diferentes: como vestigium y como signum del mundo espiritual, respectivamente. Al final del artículo analizaremos la diferencia entre las dos concepciones considerando tres elementos: la naturaleza de la relación entre mundo material y espiritual, el contenido espiritual al que remite y la noción de belleza que implica.
