光周敏感核不育水稻phyA基因的RFLP分析

本文用RFLP方法分析农垦58和光敏核不育水稻农垦58S以及其他一些水稻品种如IR36等，得到如下结果： 1．以第5染色体上8个RFLP标记(RG】3、RG】19、RG470、RG573、RG360、RG403、RG229、RG556)作探针对58和58S进行RFLP分析．没有发现多态性。 2． 58和58S光敏色素(phyA)基因内部（或附近）一些CpG岛的甲基化程度不同。 以IR36 phyA 基因的c DNA克隆作探针，用限制性内切酶EcoRV、Dra I、HindⅢ、Xba工、BglⅡ、Sca工、Msp工对58和58S进行RFLP分析，没有发现多态性，但用HpaII现了多态性。 3．根据IR36 ph yA序列，在5’一非编码区设计一对PCR引物，在IR36、58、58S等水稻品种中均扩出了一段DNA，此DNA片段大小在这几个不同品种中都相同。以此DNA片段（称为PCRI）作探针进行RFLP分析．发现在58S和IR36之间具有多态性，根据测出的58S的PCRI序列以及RFLP分析结果，推测58S和IR36之间的差异是由于插入或缺失引起的。

大蹼铃蟾皮肤分泌液中抗菌活性肽的分离纯化及其性质

从云南产大蹼铃蟾( Bombina maxima)皮肤分泌液中分离得到了一种有广泛抗菌活性的多肽,被命名为MSP-VII。用快原子轰击质谱(f.a.b.m.s)分析其M+/Z=2648,即此活性肽的分子量为2647D。用自动氨基酸分析仪分析,含有26个氨基酸。抗菌实验结果表明,此多肽对格兰氏阴性和格兰氏阳性细菌以及真菌都有较强的抗菌活性。溶血实验表明此活性肽有很轻微的溶血活性。此外,MSP-VII也可以促进平滑肌收缩和增加微血管的渗透性。

Polarized photoluminescence and temperature-dependent - Photoluminescence study of InAs quantum wires on InP(001)

InAs quantum wires (QWRs) have been fabricated on the InP(001), which has been evidenced by TEM and polarized photoluminescence measurements (PPL). The monlayer-splitting peaks (MSPs) in the PL spectrum of InAs QWRs can be clearly observed at low temperature measurements. Supposing a peak-shift of MSP identical to that of bulk material, we obtain the thermal activation energies of up to 5 MSPs. The smaller thermal activation energies for the MSPs of higher energy lead to the fast red-shift of PL peak as a whole.

A modified criterion for shear band formation in bulk metallic glass under complex stress states

A new criterion for shear band formation in metallic glasses is proposed based on the shear plane criterion proposed by Packard and Schuh [1]. This modified shear plane (MSP) criterion suggests that a shear band is not initiated randomly throughout the entire material under stress but is initiated at the physical boundaries or defects and at locations where the highest normal stress modified maximum shear stress occurs. Moreover, the same as in the shear plan criterion, the shear stress all over the shear band should exceed the shear yield strength of the material. For a complete shear band to form, both requirements need to be fulfilled. The shear yield strength of the material is represented by the shear stress of the point at which the shear band stops. The new criterion agrees very well with experimental results in both the determination of the shear yield strength and the shear band path. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Highly sensitive determination of the methylated p16 gene in cancer patients by microchip electrophoresis

The p16 tumor suppressor gene is inactivated by promoter region hypermethylation in many types of tumor. Recent studies showed that aberrant methylation of the p16 gene is an early event in many tumors, especially in lung cancer, and may constitute a new biomarker for early detection and monitoring of prevention trials. We detected tumor-associated aberrant hypermethylation of the p16 gene in plasma and tissue DNA from 153 specimens using a modified semi-nested methylation-specific PCR (MSP) combining plastic microchip electrophoresis or slab gel electrophoresis, respectively. Specimens were from 79 lung cancer patients, 15 abdominal tumor patients, 30 positive controls and 30 negative controls. The results showed that the positive rate obtained by microchip electrophoresis was more than 26.6% higher and the same speciticity was kept when compared with slab gel electrophoresis. The microchip electrophoresis can rapidly and accurately analyze the PCR products of methylated DNA and obviously improve the positive rate of diagnosis of cancer patients when compared with gel electrophoresis. This method with the high assay sensitivity might be used for detection of methylation of p16 gene and even to facilitate early diagnosis of cancer patients. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
