场发射平板显示器(Field Emission Displays, FED)是一种新发展起来的平板显示器,由于其在亮度、视角、响应时间、工作温度范围、能耗等方面具有优良的特性,成为近年新型显示器研究的热点之一。为实现高效的FED红、绿、蓝全色显示,荧光粉在其中起着十分重要的作用。制备性能优良的场发射用彩色荧光粉是决定将来FED技术成功与否的关键因素之一。 本论文研究的内容包括场发射(FED)用荧光粉的研制和改性工作。在场发射(FED)用荧光粉研制方面,采用溶胶-凝胶方法,制备了一系列新型场发射(FED)用荧光粉,包括稀土离子激活的镓酸镧 [(LaGaO3: Re3+ (Re = Eu, Tb, Dy, Tm, Sm)]体系、铟酸钙[(CaIn2O4: Re3+ (Re = Eu, Pr, Tb, Dy,)]体系、铟酸锶[(SrIn2O4: Re3+ (Re = Pr, Tb, Dy)]体系、镓酸镥[Lu3Ga5O12:Re3+ (Re = Eu, Tb,Pr)]体系,并研究了Pr, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Tm等稀土离子在这些基质中的光致发光、低压阴极射线发光性质和能量传递等性质。在荧光粉的改性方面,采用喷雾热解法制备了Sr2CeO4球形场发射用荧光粉,研究了喷雾前驱体溶液中,聚乙二醇浓度、金属离子浓度、烧结温度对形貌及发光性能的影响;采用溶胶-凝胶方法成功将SiO2表明包覆一层CaTiO3:Pr3+, Y3Al5O12:Ce3+/Tb3+荧光粉,得到单分散,球形形貌,分布均匀,具有核/壳结构的球形荧光粉;另外研究了不同的制备方法对Ga2O3:Dy3+荧光粉的发光性能的影响。所得样品用XRD、FTIR、SEM、TEM、漫反射光谱、光致发光(PL)光谱、荧光寿命曲线、低压阴极射线(CL)光谱等进行表征。 在紫外光激发下,稀土离子激活的镓酸镧彩色荧光粉有基质(LaGaO3)的发射和稀土离子(Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+, Tm3+, Sm3+)的特征发射,研究表明在基质和稀土离子之间存在能量传递,其能量传递效率因离子而异。在阴极射线激发下,样品仅有稀土离子(Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+, Tm3+, Sm3+)的特征发射。如:LaGaO3: Eu3+发红光,LaGaO3: Dy3+发白光,LaGaO3: Tm3+发蓝光,LaGaO3: Sm3+发黄光,LaGaO3: Sm3+,Tb3+发白光。LaGaO3: Tb3+的发光颜色可通过不同Tb3+的掺杂浓度从蓝光到绿光进行调控。在相同的激发条件下,所制备的蓝光发射的LaGaO3: Tb3+和LaGaO3: Tm3+荧光粉与商业FED用蓝粉(Y2SiO5: Ce3+,日亚化学工业株式会社,NP-1047)相比具有更好的色纯度和更高的发光效率;所制备的黄光发射的LaGaO3: Sm3+荧光粉与商业低压黄色荧光粉((Zn,Cd)S: Ag,日亚化学工业株式会社,NP-1020)相比,色纯度接近,但具有更高的发光效率。并首次实现了单一基质中白光发射(LaGaO3: Sm3+,Tb3+), 所制备的稀土离子激活的镓酸镧彩色荧光粉[(LaGaO3: Re3+ (Re = Eu, Tb, Dy, Tm, Sm )]在场发射器件有潜在的应用。 在稀土离子掺杂的Sr/CaIn2O4荧光粉体系中,在基质Sr/CaIn2O4和掺杂离子Pr3+/Tb3+/Dy3+存在高效能量传递。基质Sr/CaIn2O4吸收能量向激活离子Pr3+/ Tb3+/Dy3+传递,发射为稀土离子Pr3+/Tb3+/Dy3+的特征发射,发光强度、荧光寿命等符合应用要求,在低压电子束激发下,Sr/CaIn2O4: Pr3+/Tb3+/Dy3+荧光粉为稀土离子的特征发射,其低压阴极射线发光(CL)光谱与光致发光(PL)发射光谱一致,CL强度随激发电压,电流密度增加而增强。 对于CaIn2O4:Eu3+荧光粉,进一步研究表明CaIn2O4:Eu3+荧光粉的光致发光和阴极射线发光颜色可以通过掺杂不同浓度的Eu3+从白光,黄光,到红光进行调控。低浓度掺杂发白光,高浓度掺杂发红光,适当的浓度发黄光。 在Lu3Ga5O12:Re3+ (Re = Eu, Tb,Pr)荧光粉体系中,在紫外(UV)和低压阴极射线激发下,所制备的荧光粉Lu3Ga5O12: Eu3+, Lu3Ga5O12: Pr3+为稀土离子Eu3+, Pr3+的特征发射,分别发黄光和绿光。Lu3Ga5O12:Tb3+的发光颜色因Tb3+掺杂浓度不同而不同,低浓度掺杂发蓝光,高浓度发绿光。 Sr2CeO4荧光粉在UV及低压阴极射线激发下发出强烈蓝光,源于配体到金属离子电荷迁移带跃迁(Ce4+-O2-)。其阴极射线发光强度与电压及灯丝电流呈良好的线性关系。 采用溶胶-凝胶方法的核壳结构的SiO2@CaTiO3:Pr3+和SiO2@Y3Al5O12: Ce3+/Tb3+荧光粉, FESEM和TEM结果表明这种核壳结构的发光材料表面致密,厚度均匀,保持了单分散SiO2微球的形貌特征。在UV及低压阴极射线激发下,SiO2@CaTiO3:Pr3+呈强红色发射,源于Pr3+ 的1D2—3H4 (612 nm)跃迁;SiO2@Y3Al5O12:Ce3+和SiO2@Y3Al5O12:Tb3+ 分别发黄绿光和绿光,源于Ce3+的5d-4f和Tb3+的5D4-7FJ (J = 6, 5, 4, 3)跃迁。PL强度可以通过包覆次数调控,CL强度随激发电压及灯丝电流增加而增强。 在Ga2O3:Dy3+荧光粉体系中,采用了溶胶-凝胶,氨水共沉淀,和高温固相法制备了Ga2O3:Dy3+荧光粉并比较了他们的结晶行为,形貌,光致发光和低压阴极射线发光性能。溶胶-凝胶法制备由于原料在分子层次上混合,可以得到纯相,氨水共沉淀和高温固相法原料不如溶胶凝胶法混合均匀,很难得到纯相。溶胶-凝胶和氨水共沉淀所得荧光粉为纳米级别大小,分别呈球形和玉米棒形状;高温固相法微米级别且呈不规则形状。Ga2O3向Dy3+传递能量效率依次按溶胶-凝胶,氨水共沉淀,和高温固相法逐渐降低。在紫外光激发下,分别发白光,蓝白光,蓝光。其低压阴极射线发光与光致发光类似。相比之下,溶胶-凝胶法制备Ga2O3:Dy3+荧光粉比氨水共沉淀和高温固相法制备要好。

光通讯近年来发展迅速,正在从元件向集成发展,迫切需要利于集成的元件。主要的一些光学元件如激光器、放大器等均采用无机材料,连接和集成存在困难。发展易于集成的有机光学元件是目前该领域研发的一个热点。电致变色是一个古老的题目,一般都在可见区,而光通讯波长主要是1300和1550nm,是近红外区。在近红外区的工作刚刚开始,.用于光衰减器的研究已有报道,但还没有达到实际要求,寻找新型的电致变色材料及其适合这些材料的新的器件构型是目前研究的重点。本文研究了三种新的有机近红外电致变色材料及其器件:PEDOT:PSS、Ru星状化合物和酞警噜。本文通过电化学、吸收光谱、X射线衍射、AFM等实验方法和手段表征了样品的本体性质、近红外电致变色,性质和器件性能。结果如下:本论文首先研究了PEDOT:PSS的近红外电致变色性质。实验结果首次表明通过掺杂如Liclo4的电解质可以提高近红外电致变色器件的性能。通过掺杂,褪色时间从30秒缩短到2.8秒,着色时间从9.2秒缩短到2.7秒,变色效率从105cm2/C提高到3llcm2/C。掺杂后薄膜离子导电率提高是器件性能改善的原因。另外还制备了基于不同厚度的PEDOT:PSS薄膜的器件,发现对于一定掺杂浓度有一个最佳的厚度,在这个厚度下器件有较大的调制能力和较小的透过损失。本论文第二部分研究Ru星状化合物。通过对基于Ru星状化合物溶液的动力学的研究,证明了调制能力与溶液浓度和外加电压的关系。之后研究开发了有新构型的近红外电致变色器件,以Ru(II,II)态化合物溶液代替其交联薄膜和电解质层来形成固液型器件,同时改善了氧化钨的制备方法。将器件对1550nm光的调制能力从文献报道的2dB提高到16dB。本论文还首次报道了酞警噜的近红外电致变色性质,发现它既可以作为阳极电致变色材料也可以作为阴极电致变色材料。酞普噜的溶液和薄膜均可用于制备电致变色器件,器件的响应速度分别为23秒和1秒。但因为中性态酞警噜对1300nm和1550nm的光吸收较小,器件的调制能力也较小(-0.3dB)。 论文的最后部分详细阐述了有机光电器件表征系统的搭建及测量方法,包括电调制光的电致变色器件测试系统、光转换为电的有机光电二极管或太阳能电池等光电器件测试系统和电转换为光的有机电致发光二极管的器件测试系统。本论文的结果证明采用新构型可以提高近红外电致变色器件的性能;通过掺杂可以缩短电致变色器件的响应时间和提高其变色效率;同时还首次报道了酞瞥噜的近红外电致变色性质。

Co-doped In2O3 nanocrystals showing room-temperature ferromagnetism have been successfully prepared by a simple sol-gel synthesis route. The sample displays it clear ferromagnetism behavior above 300 K. Phase and structure analyses reveal that the nanocrystals are crystallized with Co ions substituted for In ions in the In2O3 matrix, and no trace of secondary phases or clusters is detected. The experimental results are explained theoretically by first-principles calculations based on density functional theory, which indicate that the native ferromagnetic behavior of Co-doped In2O3 could be mainly ascribed to the strong d-d coupling of the magnetic ions.

Photoluminescence (PL) spectra of GaInNAs/GaAs multiple quantum wells and GaInNAs epilayers grown on GaAs substrate show an apparent "S-shape" temperature-dependence of the of dominant luminescence peak. At low temperature and weak excitation conditions, a PL peak related to nitrogen cluster-induced bound states can be well resolved in the PL spectra. It displays a remarkable red shift of up to 60 meV and is thermally quenched below 100 K with increasing temperature, being attributed to N-cluster induced bound states. The indium incorporation exhibits significant effect on the cluster formation. The rapid thermal annealing treatment at 750 C can essentially remove the bound states-induced peak.

The available experimental results have shown that in time-periodic motion the rheology of fluid mud displays complex viscoelastic behaviour. Based on the measured rheology of fluid mud from two field sites, we study the interaction of water waves and fluid mud by a two-layered model in which the water above is assumed to be inviscid and the mud below is viscoelastic. As the fluid-mud layer in shallow seas is usually much thinner than the water layer above, the sharp contrast of scales enables an approximate analytical theory for the interaction between fluid mud and small-amplitude waves with a narrow frequency band. It is shown that at the leading order and within a short distance of a few wavelengths, wave pressure from above forces mud motion below. Over a Much longer distance, waves are modified by the accumulative dissipation in mud. At the next order, infragravity waves owing to convective inertia (or radiation stresses) are affected indirectly by mud motion through the slow modulation of the short waves. Quantitative predictions are made for mud samples of several concentrations and from two different field sites.

Hard photons from neutron-proton bremsstrahlung in intermediate energy heavy-ion reactions are examined as a potential probe of the nuclear symmetry energy within a transport model. Effects of the symmetry energy on the yields and spectra of hard photons are found to be generally smaller than those due to the currently existing uncertainties of both the in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections and the photon production probability in the elementary process pn -> pn gamma. Very interestingly, nevertheless, the ratio of hard photon spectra R-1/2(gamma) from two reactions using isotopes of the same element is not only approximately independent of these uncertainties but also quite sensitive to the symmetry energy. For the head-on reactions of Sn-132 + Sn-124 and Sn-112 + Sn-112 at E-beam/A = 50 MeV, for example, the R-1/2(gamma) displays a rise up to 15% when the symmetry energy is reduced by about 20% at rho = 1.3 rho(0) which is the maximum density reached in these reactions. Multiwalled carbon nanotube-supported Pt (Pt/MWNT) nanocomposites were prepared by both the aqueous solution reduction of a Pt salt (HCHO reduction) and the reduction of a Pt ion salt in ethylene glycol solution. For comparison, a Pt/XC-72 nanocomposite was also prepared by the EG method. The Pt/MWNT catalyst prepared by the EG method has a high and homogeneous dispersion of spherical Pt metal particles with a narrow particle-size distribution. TEM images show that the Pt particle size is in the range of 2-5 nm with a peak at 2.6 nm, which is consistent with 2.5 nm obtained from the XRD broadening calculation. Surface chemical modifications of MWNTs and water content in EG solvent are found to be the key factors in depositing Pt particles on MWNTs. In the case of the direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) test, the Pt/MWNT catalyst prepared by EG reduction is slightly superior to the catalyst prepared by aqueous reduction and displays significantly higher performance than the Pt/XC-72 catalyst. These differences in catalytic performance between the MWNT-supported or the carbon black XC-72-supported catalysts are attributed to a greater dispersion of the supported Pt particles when the EG method is used, in contrast to aqueous HCHO reduction and to possible unique structural and higher electrical properties when contrasting MWNTs to carbon black XC-72 as a support.

Organic-inorganic hybrid nanofibers are successfully synthesized by incorporating 3,3 ',5,5 '-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) and H2PtCl6 at room temperature. The morphology and size can be simply controlled by tuning the molar ratio and initial concentration of reactants. A possible formation mechanism was suggested on the basis of the experimental results. The optical properties were investigated and the as-obtained product displays a strong fluorescence emission at room temperature that may be promising for applications in the fabrication of photoelectric materials. Bulk and nano-materials Sr2CeO4 were prepared by solid-state reaction and sol-gel technique, respectively. Photoluminescence shows that luminescence has the characteristic of a ligand-to-metal charge transfer (CT) emission. Compared with bulk Sr2CeO4, the nano-material exhibits stronger emission intensity, longer decay time, and higher CT excitation energy. Three CT excitation peaks were observed in both bulk and nano samples.

We investigated the electrical instability of vanadyl-phthalocyanine (VOPc) thin-film transistors (TFTs) at various temperatures. The results demonstrate a slow threshold voltage shift in the bias stress process and a rapid recovery after the removal of bias stress, which indicates that a slower degradation process occurs in the on state while a faster removal in the off state of VOPc TFTs. The shift of threshold voltage comes from traps generated at the organic/dielectrics interface. Additionally, a relaxation time of 10(7) s was obtained at room temperature according to the stretched exponential model, which is comparable to a-Si: H TFTs. Therefore, VOPc TFTs are suitable to be applied in flat panel displays.

Tb(1-x)BO3:xEu(3+) (x = 0-1) microsphere phosphors have been successfully prepared by a simple hydrothermal process directly without further sintering treatment. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), photoluminescence (PL), low-voltage cathodoluminescence (CL), and time-resolved emission spectra as well as lifetimes were used to characterize the samples.

Two new stepladder conjugated polymers, that is, poly(7,7,15,15-tetraoctyldinaphtho[1,2-a:1',2'-g]-s-indacene) (PONSI) and poly(7,7,15,15-tetra(4-octylphenyl)dinaphtho[1,2-a:1',2'-g]-s-indacene) (PANSI) with alkyl and aryl substituents, respectively, have been synthesized and characterized. In comparison with poly(indenofluorene)s, both polymers have extended conjugation at the direction perpendicular to the polymer backbone because of the introduction of naphthalene moieties. The emission color of the polymers in film state is strongly dependent on the substituents. While PONSI emits at a maximum of 463 nm, PANSI with the same backbone but aryl substituents displays dramatically redshifted emission with a maximum at 494 nm.

Lu3Ga5O12:Eu3+, Lu3Ga5O12:Tb3+, and Lu3Ga5O12:Pr3+ phosphors were prepared through a Pechini-type sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), photoluminescence, and cathodoluminescence spectra were utilized to characterize the synthesized phosphors. The XRD results reveal that the sample begins to crystallize at 800 degrees C and fully crystallined pure Lu3Ga5O12 phase can be obtained at 1000 degrees C. The FESEM image indicates that the phosphor sample is composed of aggregated rice grainlike particles with sizes around 80-120 nm.

An organic integrated pixel with organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) driven by organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) is fabricated by a greatly simplified processing. The OTFTs are based on copper phthalocyanine as the active medium and fabricated on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glass with top-gate structure, thus an organic integrated pixel is easily made by integrating OLED with OTFT. The OTFTs show field-effect mobility of 0.4 cm(2) /Vs and on/off ratio of 10(3) order. The OLED is driven well and emits the brightness as large as 2100cd/m(2) at a current density of 14.6 mu A/cm(2) at -19.7 V gate voltage. This simple device structure is promising in the future large-area flexible OLED displays.

Single-walled carbon nanohorns (SWCNHs) were used as a novel and biocompatible matrix for fabricating biosensing devices. The direct immobilization of acid-stable and thermostable soybean peroxidase (SBP) on SWCNH modified electrode surface can realize the direct electrochemistry of enzyme. Cyclic voltammogram of the adsorbed SBP displays a pair of redox peaks with a formal potential of -0.24V in pH 5 phosphate buffer solution.
