We investigate a planar ion chip design with a two-dimensional array of linear ion traps for the scalable quantum information processor. The segmented electrodes reside in a single plane on a substrate and a grounded metal plate, a combination of appropriate rf and DC potentials are applied to them for stable ion confinement, and the trap axes are located above the surface at a distance controlled by the electrodes' lateral extent and the substrate's height as discussed. The potential distributions are calculated using static electric field qualitatively. This architecture is conceptually simple and many current microfabrication techniques are feasible for the basic structure. It may provide a promising route for scalable quantum computers.

单纵模掺铒光纤激光器在光通信和光传感等方面有着广泛的应用前景。设计了一种新型的光纤激光器,在光纤环形镜中嵌入未抽运的掺铒光纤作为可饱和吸收体以抑制多纵模,用光纤环谐振腔作为滤波器抑制拍频噪声,用光纤光栅作为波长选择器件,最终得到了单纵模输出并消除了拍频噪声。使用零拍法测量其线宽小于频谱仪的低频极限5kHz。实验结果证明了可饱和吸收体和光纤环的功能。

综述了近年来光纤中声光耦合的研究及其一些应用。由PZT产生的弹性声波在光纤上传播,导致光纤周期性的微弯,引起光纤内模式耦合。其作用类似于长周期光栅,但又因为声波的频率、振幅随着施加的RF信号的频率和振幅的改变而改变,因而相对长周期光栅来讲有着灵活、可调的优点。根据声波对光纤共振波长的调谐特性,可以做出很多性能优异的光器件,如频移器,窄带和超宽带的可调滤波器,可调光衰减器,光开关等。

单长周期光栅迈克耳孙(Michelson)干涉仪是由尾纤端面蒸镀高反膜的单根长周期光纤光栅构成。入射光经长周期光栅后,部分被耦合到包层中传输。经过包层和纤芯传输的光信号经尾纤端面反射后,重新耦合回到长周期光栅中,在光栅区域形成干涉。通过理论计算分析了各种因素对其光谱响应的影响。从实验上得到了干涉光谱的谐振峰波长位移与光纤段温度变化成良好的线性关系,测得其温度系数为31.3pm/℃。表明这种结构可用于高温传感或作为波分复用滤波器。

A laser beam automatic alignment system is applied in a multipass amplifier of the SG-III prototype laser. Considering the requirements of the SG-III prototype facility, by combining the general techniques of the laser beam automatic alignment system, according to the image relayed of the pinholes in the spatial filter, and utilizing the optical position and the spatial distribution of the four pinholes of the main spatial filter in the multipass amplifier of the SG-III prototype, a reasonable and optimized scheme for automatic aligning multipass beam paths is presented. We present a simple and practical method for the single-ended distributed fiber temperature measurements using microwave (11-GHz) coherent detection and the instantaneous frequency measurement (IFM) technique to detect spontaneous Brillouin backscattered signal in which a specially designed rf bandpass filter at 11 GHz is used as a frequency discriminator to transform frequency shift to intensity fluctuation. A Brillouin temperature signal can be obtained at 11 GHz over a sensing length of 10 km. The power sensitivity dependence on temperature induced by frequency shift is measured as 2.66%/K. 分析了布里渊分布式光纤传感技术原理,采用自行研制的光纤单纵模分布反馈(DFB)激光器结合电光调制技术,利用相干检测技术,对布里渊微弱后向散射信号进行检测。通过改进滤波放大技术,对微弱后向散射光信号进行有效放大,再用扰偏技术及信号采样平均处理,实现对光纤传感器后向布里渊散射信号在11 GHz高频段直接采集显示。结果表明,探测所得布里渊散射信号峰值功率可达50 mV,能有效降低解调系统信号检测难度,改善了系统信噪比(SNR)。初步实验结果证明了该方案的可行性。

Fe:BiOx films are fabricated on K9 glass substrates by rf-magnetron sputtering of a BiFeO target under argon atmosphere with increasing sputtering power from 80 to 200 W at room temperature. It is found that the thin films grown at the sputtering power of 160W can be formed at an appropriate deposition rate and have an improved surface morphology. The XPS result reveals that the films investigated are comprised of Bi, Fe and O elements. A typical XRD pattern shows that no phase transition occurs in the films up to 400 degrees C. The results of the blue laser recording test demonstrate that the Fe:BiOx films have good writing sensitivity for blue laser beam (406.7 nm) and good stability after reading 10000 times. The recording marks of 200nm or less are obtained. These results indicate that the introduction of Fe into BiOx films can reduce the mark size and improve the stability of the films.

The thermal stability and structure of RF-RF2-AIF(3)-Al(PO3)(3) fluorophosphate glasses were investigated. Analyses of infrared absorbance spectra and Raman spectra reveal that with increasing number of alkali and alkaline earth fluoride components, the sum of P-O-P bond and O-P-O bond increases and glass network is strengthened. Consequently, the inhibition to nucleation and crystallization processes is improved, which is proved by the increment of thermal stability factors AT and S determined by differential scanning calorimetry. In addition, it was found that LiF has poor ability to form glass in univalent alkali fluorides and MgF2 has comparative strong ability to form glass in bivalent alkaline earth fluorides. 利用射频磁控溅射法室温下在Si(100)衬底上制备了N掺杂的TiO2薄膜,并且采用x射线衍射(XRD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)和透射光谱对薄膜进行了表征。XRD结果表明在纯Ar和N2(33.3%)/Ar气氛下制备的TiO2-xNx薄膜均为单一的金红石相,薄膜结晶性良好,呈高度(211)择优取向,而在N2(50.0%)/Ar下制备的薄膜结晶性明显变差;对于N掺杂的TiO2薄膜,XPS表明部分N原子进入TiO2晶格,并且以N—Ti—O、N—O键以及间隙式N原子形式存在;透射光谱表明掺N后的TiO2薄膜吸收边发生了红移。

ZnO films were fabricated on LiGaO2 (0 0 1), (10 0) and (0 10) planes by RF magnetron sputtering. The structural, morphological and optical properties of as-grown ZnO films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectra and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. It is found that the orientation of ZnO films is strongly dependent on the substrate plane. [0 0 0 11, [1 (1) over bar 00] and [11 (2) over bar0] oriented ZnO films are deposited on LiGaO2 (001), (100) and (010), respectively. AFM shows the (0001) ZnO film consists of well-aligned regular hexagonal grains. Raman spectra reveal a tensile stress in the (0 0 0 1) ZnO film and a compressive stress in (110 0) and (112 0) ZnO films. PL spectra of all ZnO films exhibit only a near-band-edge UV emission peak. Aluminum nitride (AlN) films were prepared on gamma-LiAlO2 substrates by radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering. The influence of substrate temperature (T-s) and nitrogen (N-2) concentration on film growth was investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results reveal that highly c-axis oriented AlN films can be obtained in the temperature range from room temperature (RT) to 300 degrees C. A smoother surface and a crystalline quality decrease with increasing N-2 concentration have been observed by XRD and atomic force microscopy (AFM) for the films deposited at lower substrate temperature. On the contrary, the degradation of the surface smoothness and the higher crystalline quality can be observed for the films deposited at a higher substrate temperature with N-2-rich ambient. The growth mechanism which leads to different crystalline quality of the films is discussed. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

以1030nm高反.940。980nm高透的波长分离膜作为实例,为提高该薄膜元件的波长分离效果,从膜系的优化方面做了一系列的研究。诸如采用带通滤光片的设计思想,在膜堆两侧加入了匹配层,调整膜堆的周期厚度,并用膜系设计软件对通带作进一步的优化。通过这一系列的优化设计后.利用RF双离子柬溅射工艺在BK7玻璃基底上沉积样品薄膜,并在基底背面加镀通带增透膜。结果显示,透射带在940和980nm处的透过率分别为97.73%和93.63%.反射带在1030nm的反射率为99.99%。对所制备的样品薄膜进行了激光损伤阈
