An analytical model for the spin filtering transport in a ferromagnetic-metal - Al2O3 - n-type semiconductor tunneling structure has been developed, and demonstrated that the ratio of the helicity-modulated photo-response to the chopped one is proportional to the sum of the relative asymmetry in conductance of two opposite spin-polarized tunneling channels and the MCD effect of the ferromagnetic metal film. The performed measurement in an iron-metal/Al2O3/n-type GaAs tunneling structure under the optical spin orientation has verified that all the aspects of the experimental results are very well in accordance with our model in the regime of the spin filtering. After the MCD effect of the iron film is calibrated by an independent measurement, the physical quantity of Delta G(t)/G(t) (Delta G(t) = G(t)(up arrow) - G(t)(down arrow) is the difference of the conductance between two opposite spin tunneling channels, G(t) =( G(t)(up arrow) + G(t)(down arrow))/2 the averaged tunneling conductance), which concerns us most, can be determined quantitatively with a high sensitivity in the framework of our analytical model. The electronic structure and Lande electron g-factors of manganese-doped HgTe quantum spheres are investigated, in the framework of the eight-band effective-mass model and the mean-field approximation. It is found that the electronic structure evolves continuously from the zero-gap configuration to an open-gap configuration with decreasing radius. The size dependence of electron g-factors is calculated with different Mn-doped effective concentration, magnetic field, and temperature values, respectively. It is found that the variations of electron g-factors are quite different for small and large quantum spheres, due to the strong exchange-induced interaction and spin-orbit coupling in the narrow-gap DMS nanocrystals. The electron g-factors are zero at a critical point of spherical radius R-c; however, by modulating the nanocrystal size their absolute values can be turned to be even 400 times larger than those in undoped cases. Six-period 4 nm GaN/10 nm AlxGa1-xN superlattices with different Al mole fractions x were prepared on (0001) sapphire substrates by low-temperature metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. The linear electro-optic (Pockels) effect was studied by a polarization-maintaining fiber-optical Mach-Zehnder interferometer system with an incident light wavelength of 1.55 mu m. The measured electro-optic coefficients, gamma(13)=5.60 +/- 0.18 pm/V, gamma(33)=19.24 +/- 1.21 pm/V (for sample 1, x=0.3), and gamma(13)=3.09 +/- 0.48 pm/V, gamma(33)=8.94 +/- 0.36 pm/V (for sample 2, x=0.1), respectively, are about ten times larger than those of GaN bulk material. The enhancement effect in GaN/AlxGa1-xN superlattice can be attributed to the large built-in field at the interfaces, depending on the mole fraction of Al. (C) 2007 American Institute of Physics.

本文介绍了采用厌氧-好氧方法对高浓度的苧麻脱胶废水进行处理的试验。进入厌氧消化器之前的废水用30%的工业盐酸中和。厌氧段及好氧段的停留时间各为约20小时(两段总停留时间约40小时)。试验温度是30℃。经厌氧-好氧处理后的出水CODcr从9787mg/l降至155.3mg/l,COD去除率约82.3%。(扣除稀释因素)。DOD_5从3161.5mg/l降至37mg/l,去除率为86.9%,(亦扣除稀释因素)。若好氧进料浓度加大一倍,曝气时间不变,则出水COD为312mg/l,BOD_5为61mg/l,COD及BOD_5去除率均变化不大,出水为浅棕黄色,较透明,无臭味。

本文研究了辽东山区不同经营强度下柞蚕林生态系统物质转运和养分循环。在同一个轮伐期内,柞蚕林叶生物量、年净生产量随剪伐年令的增加而增大,直到剪伐后5年呈下降趋势。植被总生物量介于22.23-24.56t·ha~(-1)。其中乔木层、灌木层、草本层各为17.84、2.82、3.17t·ha~(-1)。林地枯枝落叶层总量为3.56-4.37t·ha~(-1)。年净生产量介于8.51-8.92t·ha~(-1)·yr~(-1)。其中乔木层占53.7%、灌木层占16.3%、草本层占29.9%。当食叶强度为0、50%和75%时,年干物质归还总量分别为3.57-3.96、3.38-3.725和3.284-3.609t·ha~(-1)·yr~(-1)。干物质净输出各为0、93.34-117.59和140.02-176.36kg·ha~(-1)·yr~(-1)。干物质积累和分配的分隔模型阐明了系统中干物质现存量和流动量。柞蚕林植被养分积累总量为255.69-292.15kg·ha~(-1)。在乔木层中,叶 > 根桩、树干 > 侧根、多年生枝 > 当年枝、细根。柞叶在衰老过程中,养分浓度急剧下降(40.62-77.78%)。在不同食叶强度下,分别计算了营养元素的回运量、归还量、输出量和存留量、植被养分年吸收总量以及调整前后乔木层各器官的年净吸收量。养分循环的分隔模型阐明了不同经营条件下柞林-柞蚕系统养分的分配和流动特征。

Single photon Sagnac interferometry as a probe to macroscopic quantum mechanics is considered at the theoretical level. For a freely moving macroscopic quantum mirror susceptible to radiation pressure force inside a Sagnac interferometer, a careful analysis of the input-output relation reveals that the particle spectrum readout at the bright and dark ports encode information concerning the noncommutativity of position and momentum of the macroscopic mirror. A feasible experimental scheme to probe the commutation relation of a macroscopic quantum mirror is outlined to explore the possible frontier between classical and quantum regimes. In the Appendix, the case of Michelson interferometry as a feasible probe is also sketched.

Controlled vertical drying deposition method was used to make high-quality single crystal close-packed colloidal films formed of different radii polystyrene latex spheres on glass substrates coming from a low concentration water suspension (0.1% volume fraction). Regardless of the spheres radii the film thickness was about 6.3 microns. However, cracks destroyed the crystalline film structure during the colloidal film growth. The effect of particle radius (85-215 nm range) on film cracking was systematically studied using in situ optical fracture monitoring. Primary parallel cracks run along the vertical growth direction, later followed by secondary branched cracks in-between the primary cracks due to residual water evaporation. Quantitative theoretical relationship between the cracks spacing and particles radius was derived and shows good agreement with experimental observations. Normalized cracks spacing is related to a reciprocal ratio of the dimensionless particle radius.

The light-front quark model has been applied to calculate the transition matrix elements of heavy hadron decays. However, it is noted that using the traditional wave functions of the light-front quark model given in the literature, the theoretically determined decay constants of the Gamma(nS) obviously contradict the data. This implies that the wave functions must be modified. Keeping the orthogonality among the nS states and fitting their decay constants, we obtain a series of the wave functions for Gamma(nS). Based on these wave functions and by analogy with the hydrogen atom, we suggest a modified analytical form for the Gamma(nS) wave functions. Using the modified wave functions, the obtained decay constants are close to the experimental data. Then we calculate the rates of radiative decays of Gamma(nS) -> eta(b) + gamma. Our predictions are consistent with the experimental data on decays Gamma(3S) -> eta(b) + gamma within the theoretical and experimental errors.

The proton-neutron interaction in determining the evolution of nuclear structure has been studied by using the Brillouin-Wigner perturbation expansion. The particle-hole and particle-particle p-n interactions are unifiedly described in the theory. The obtained formulas of level energies and excitation energies scaled in the small- and large-NpNn limits can well explain the linearity of the extracted proton-neutron interaction energies and the attenuation of the 2(1)(+) excitation energies against the valence nucleon product NpNn for five mass regions from A = 100-200.

A chiral constituent quark model approach, embodying s- and u-channel exchanges, complemented with a Reggeized treatment for the t channel is presented. A model is obtained allowing data for pi(-)p ->eta n and gamma p ->eta p to be described satisfactorily. For the latter reaction, recently released data by the CLAS and CBELSA/TAPS Collaborations in the system total energy range 1.6 less than or similar to W less than or similar to 2.8 GeV are well reproduced by the inclusion of Reggeized trajectories instead of simple. and. poles. The contribution from "missing" resonances, with masses below 2 GeV, is found to be negligible in the considered processes.

Charged-particle spectra associated with direct photon (gamma(dir)) and pi(0) are measured in p + p and Au + Au collisions at center-of-mass energy root(S)(NN) = 200 GeV with the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. A shower-shape analysis is used to partially discriminate between gamma(dir) and pi(0). Assuming no associated charged particles in the gamma(dir) direction ( near side) and small contribution from fragmentation photons (gamma(frag)), the associated charged-particle yields opposite to gamma(dir) (away side) are extracted. In central Au + Au collisions, the charged-particle yields at midrapidity (vertical bar eta vertical bar < 1) and high transverse momentum (3 < (assoc)(PT) < 16 GeV/c) associated with gamma(dir) and pi(0) (vertical bar eta vertical bar < 0.9, 8 < (trig)(PT) < 16 GeV/c) are suppressed by a factor of 3-5 compared with p + p collisions. The observed suppression of the associated charged particles is similar for gamma(dir) and pi(0) and independent of the gamma(dir) energy within uncertainties. These measurements indicate that, in the kinematic range covered and within our current experimental uncertainties, the parton energy loss shows no sensitivity to the parton initial energy, path length, or color charge.

Recent experiments have reached the neutron-rich Cr isotope with N = 40 and confirmed enhanced collectivity near this subshell. The current data focus on low-spin spectroscopy only, with little information on the states where high-j particles align their spins with the system rotation. By applying the projected shell model, we show that rotation alignment occurs in neutron-rich even-even Cr nuclei as early as spin 8 (h) over bar h and, owing to shell filling, the aligning particles differ in different isotopes. It is suggested that observation of irregularities in moments of inertia is a direct probe of the deformed single-particle scheme in this exotic mass region.

We report the measurements of relative cross sections for single capture (SC), double capture (DC), single ionization (SI), double ionization (DI), and transfer ionization (TI) in collisions of Xe23+ ions with helium atoms in the velocity range of 0.65-1.32 a.u. The relative cross sections show a weak velocity dependence. The cross-section ratio of double-(DE) to single-electron (SE) removal from He, sigma(DE)/sigma(SE), is about 0.45. Single capture is the dominant reaction channel which is followed by transfer ionization, while only very small probabilities are found for pure ionization and double capture. The present experimental data are in satisfactory agreement with the estimations by the extended classical over-barrier (ECB) model..

在对遥感数据进行景观分类和对环境因子进行空间表达基础上 ,在地理信息系统的支持下 ,确定长白山自然保护区森林景观分布的环境 (包括年均温、年降水量、坡度和坡向 )范围 .结果表明 ,从苔原、岳桦、云冷杉到阔叶红松林 ,最适海拔高度范围依次为 1780~ 2 2 12、170 5~ 195 6、10 4 2~ 16 2 5、82 3~ 1184m ;最适温度范围分别为 - 4 .75~ - 2 .4 0℃、- 3.4 2~ - 2 .0 7℃、- 1.4 9~ 1.39℃、0 .71~ 2 .37℃ ;最适降水范围分别为 10 34~ 1110、10 14~ 10 6 0、883~ 10 17、82 4~ 92 5mm ;长白山自然保护区的森林景观主要分布在平、缓坡地上 ,并与坡向关系密切 ,苔原在各个坡向上均有分布 ,且在各个坡向上分布面积的变化不大 ;岳桦、云冷杉林、阔叶红松林、山杨白桦林主要呈现北、西北向分布 ,其次为东北、西向分布 ;落叶松林主要为东北向分布 ,其次为东和北向分布 ;疏林主要为西向分布 ,其次为西南、西北和南向分布 ;风倒区主要为西、西南、西北向分布 .

Mapping the spatial distribution of contaminants in soils is the basis of pollution evaluation and risk control. Interpolation methods are extensively applied in the mapping processes to estimate the heavy metal concentrations at unsampled sites. The performances of interpolation methods (inverse distance weighting, local polynomial, ordinary kriging and radial basis functions) were assessed and compared using the root mean square error for cross validation. The results indicated that all interpolation methods provided a high prediction accuracy of the mean concentration of soil heavy metals. However, the classic method based on percentages of polluted samples, gave a pollution area 23.54-41.92% larger than that estimated by interpolation methods. The difference in contaminated area estimation among the four methods reached 6.14%. According to the interpolation results, the spatial uncertainty of polluted areas was mainly located in three types of region: (a) the local maxima concentration region surrounded by low concentration (clean) sites, (b) the local minima concentration region surrounded with highly polluted samples; and (c) the boundaries of the contaminated areas.
