The microstructure of Nd_{60}Al_{10}Ni_{10}Cu_{20-x}Fex (x = 0, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20) alloys can change from homogeneous phase to a composite structure consisting of amorphous phase plus clusters or nanocrystals by adjusting the Fe content. The effect of microstructure on the plastic deformation behavior in this alloy system is studied by using nanoindentation. The alloys with homogeneous amorphous structure exhibit pronounced flow serrations during the loading process of nanoindentation. The addition of Fe changes the plastic deformation behavior remarkablely. No flow serration is observed in the alloys with high Fe content for the indentation depth of 500 nm. The mechanism for the change of plastic serrated flow behavior is discussed.

激光作为新型柔性热源,因其在表面处理方面独特的优势而得到广泛应用。
该文根据微秒级脉冲激光致合金材料表面熔凝的物理过程,以激光毛化等熔凝工艺为背景,建立了相应的传热传质物理模型和数学模型,并用焓方法等对合金材料表层的温度场和移动边界问题作了计算研究。

通过理论分析、建模与数值模拟等方法,深入地研究了Nd:

YAG激光熔凝过程的运动边界问题,并对快凝过程的微结构演化也做了初步的研究。

经过对含运动边界问题的建模和计算,提示了激光与材料相互作用过程的一些特征……

A diode stack end-pumped Nd:YVO4 slab laser at 1342 nm with near-diffraction-limited beam quality by using a hybrid resonator was presented. At a pump power of 139.5 W, laser power of 35.4 W was obtained with a conversion efficiency of 25.4% of the laser diode to laser output. The beam quality M-2 factors were measured to be 1.2 in the unstable direction and 1.3 in the stable direction at the output power of 29 W. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America

实验研究了YAG激光诱导放电(LGD)表面离散强化形貌,包括强化点的表面形貌和横截面形貌.利用放电过程中的电弧压力,对强化点表面进行造型.大电流、倾斜放电容易将熔凝物吹起形成凹坑和突起,表面起伏更加明显,而小电流、垂直放电则能得到平坦的表面,有利于增大强化深度.随脉冲宽度的增加,强化点的径深比逐渐变小,在相同强化深度下,小电流、长脉冲宽度可以获得小径深比、厚深状的强化点,而大电流、短脉冲宽度可以获得大径深比、扁平状的强化点.在现有实验条件下,在电流150 A,脉冲宽度9.83 ms下得到最大强化深度为 0.479 mm,径深比为3.9

A 32.1 W laser-diode-stack pumped acoustic-optic Q-switched Nd:YVO4 slab laser with hybrid resonator at 1064 nm was demonstrated with the pumping power of 112 W and repetition rate of 40 kHz, the pulse duration was 32.47 ns. The slope efficiency and optical-to-optical efficiency were 37 and 28.7%, respectively. At the repetition rate of 20 kHz and pumping power of 90 W, the average output power and pulse duration were 20.4 W and 20.43 ns, respectively. With the pumping power of 112 W, the beam quality M-2 factors in CW operation were measured to be 1.3 in stable direction and 1.6 in unstable direction.

Channeling by a train of laser pulses into homogeneous and inhomogeneous plasmas is studied using particle-in-cell simulation. When the pulse duration and the interval between the successive pulses are appropriate, the laser pulse train can channel into the plasma deeper than a single long-pulse laser of similar peak intensity and total energy. The increased penetration distance can be attributed to the repeated actions of the ponderomotive force, the continuous between-pulse channel lengthening by the inertially evacuating ions, and the suppression of laser-driven plasma instabilities by the intermittent laser-energy cut-offs.

The interaction of a circularly polarized laser pulse with a mixed solid target containing two species of ions is studied by particle in cell simulations and analytical model. After the interaction tends to be stable, it is demonstrated that the acceleration is more efficient for the heavier ions than that in plasmas containing a single kind of heavy ion and the acceleration efficiency is higher when its proportion is lower. To obtain monoenergetic heavy-ion beams, a sandwich target with a thin mixed ion layer between two light ion layers and a microstructured target are proposed. The influences of parameters of the laser pulse and target on ion acceleration are discussed in detail. It is found that, when the target is thick enough, a cold target is more appropriate for heavy-ion acceleration than a warm target, and the velocity of the reflected heavy ions is proportional to the laser amplitude.

The damage morphologies, threshold fluences in ZnO films were studied with femtosecond laser pulses. Time-resolved reflectivity and transmissivity have been measured by the pump-probe technique at different pump fluences and wavelengths. The results indicate that two-phase transition is the dominant damage mechanism, which is similar to that in narrow band gap semiconductors. The estimated energy loss rate of conduction electrons is 1.5 eV/ps. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Damage threshold of crystals SiO2 and YAG against 60-900 fs, 800 nm laser pulses are reported. The breakdown mechanisms were discussed based on the double-flux model and Keldysh theory. We found that impact ionization plays the important role in the femtosecond laser-induced damage in crystalline SiO2, while the roles of photoionization and impact ionization in YAG crystals depend on the laser pulse durations. Fluorescence spectra of Nd: YVO4 under excitation of a continuous wave (CW) diode laser and a femtosecond laser at 800nm were investigated. It was found that Nd: YVO4 shows different upconversion and downconversion luminescencent behaviors when excited by the diode laser and the femtosecond laser. The dependence of the upconversion luminescence intensity on the pump power of the femtosecond laser was discussed. The populations of the upper energy levels for upconversion and downconversion luminescence were calculated based on the Bloch equations. The calculations agree well with the experimental results.
