The structural and optical properties of MBE-grown GaAsSb/GaAs multiple quantum wells (MQWs) as well as strain-compensated GaAsSb/GaAs/GaAsP MQWs are investigated. The results of double crystal X-ray diffraction and reciprocal space mapping show that when strain-compensated layers are introduced, the interface quality of QW structure is remarkably improved, and the MQW structure containing GaAsSb layers with a high Sb composition can be coherently grown. Due to the influence of inserted GaAsP layers on the energy band and carrier distribution of QWs, the optical properties of GaAsSb/GaAs/GaAsP MQWs display a lot of features mainly characteristic of type-I QWs despite the type-II GaAsSb/GaAs interfaces exist in the structure. 图像不变局部特征是新近兴起的一类图像特征,基于不变局部特征的图像表示是计算机视觉的热点研究问题,在理论研究和实际应用上都具有重要意义。本论文针对图像不变局部特征的原理特性及应用展开研究:(1)当今流行的不变局部特征检测和描述方法;(2)局部特征组织方式;(3)基于局部不变特征的摄像机运动检测方法;(4)基于局部特征组合的目标模型及识别方法。 深入研究了当今流行的不变局部特征检测子,重点分析了其提取原理、特征结构、不变性阶次、精确度等特性,在此基础上对多种检测子进行比较分析,得出各自的适用范围,并总结出在具体应用环境下的特征选择原则。 针对视频分析中摄像机运动检测的具体应用,提出一种基于尺度不变局部特征的摄像机运动检测方法。该方法选取尺度不变局部特征,采用无序特征集合的方式表示图像帧,通过帧间局部特征的匹配,提出归一化软投票的方法鲁棒地估计特征匹配对的位置、尺度的变化,并根据各变化值和投票数的特点识别出摄像机的运动类型。该方法简单、鲁棒,满足了摄像机运动检测的处理速度和准确性需求。 针对基于局部特征的目标表示和识别问题,研究分析现有两种模型bag-of-words和part-based的优缺点,将二者结合,提出一种局部特征组合的目标表示模型和相应的识别算法。该方法在半局部区域内的特征同时进行外观描述和空间位置编码,并用数据挖掘中的频繁项挖掘技术自动提取出表征目标的特征组合,作为子模型。目标模型由一系列子模型构成,子模型的数量及每个子模型中包含的部件数目均自动从训练集中发现,是完全目标自适应的。所提方法克服了bag-of-words方法表达的精确性不足、part-based方法训练速度过慢的缺点,在识别问题上得到了较好的总体性能。

Laurencia nanhaiense sp. nov. (Rhodomelaceae, Rhodophyta) is described from Hainan and Guangdong Provinces, China. The new species clearly displays one of the defining features of the genus, viz. four periaxial cells per vegetative axial segment. It differs from other closely related species in having a combination of features such as terete axes from a basal system composed of a primary, discoid holdfast and a secondary attachment to give rise to many short rhizoids, branching oppositely and alternately, irregularly tristichous or subverticillately polystichous, having more curve branches with very sparse, adventitious ultimate branchlets, non-projecting superficial cortical cells at the apices of ultimate branchlets, presence of longitudinally oriented secondary pit-connections between contiguous superficial cortical cells, absence of lenticular thickenings in the walls of medullary cells, parallel arrangement of tetrasporangia along the axis of stichidia, and presence of intercellular spaces between medullary cells.

Viable F-1 hybrids were obtained from crosses of female Macrobrachium nipponense and male Macrobrachium hainanense involving spermatophore transfer and artificial insemination. This represents the first successful known case of hybridization of two Macrobrachium species by means of artificial insemination. The hatching rate was over 90%. About 20-60% of newly hatched larvae metamorphosed to postlarvae. The morphological characteristics of the hybrids resembled a combination of features of both parents. Malate dehydrogenase (MDH) and esterase (EST) isozyme electrophoresis indicated parents and F-1 hybrids showed co-dominant expression of the paternal and maternal alleles controlling the isozymes and confirmed the hybridization. 介绍了基于VC++开发的离线签名笔迹计算机鉴定系统,能够较好地实现签名笔迹图像多种处理效果,以满足特征提取的不同需要。他可以从复杂签名图像背景下提取出不同颜色签名笔迹,具有方便、快捷、失真小的特点。通过将笔划宽度斜度特征α加入系统进行鉴别,可有效降低识别的错误率,获得了相对较好的鉴别效果。

Based on the principle and methods of carbonate sedimentology and reservoir geology, and guided by the theories of carbonate reservoir geology, the palaeokarst of Ordovician carbonate rocks in Tarim Basin has been comprehensively studied with multiple methods from different branches of geology. It is indicated that the features and distribution of palaeokarstification have developed in Ordovician carbonates. The controlling of karstification to Ordovician carbonate reservoirs has been discussed. Regional distribution of carbonate reservoirs controlled by karstification has been predicted within this basin. The main consents and conclusions of the this dissertation is as follows: Nine key indicators to the recognition of palaeokarst are proposed in terms of careful observation upon the well cores, lithological and geochemical analyses, and drilling and logging responses to the karst caves and fractures. The time and environment of cave filling are documented from careful research of lithofacies, mineralogy, and geochemistry of the physical and chemical fillings within karst caves. The caves in Ordovician carbonates were filled in Early Carboniferous in Lunnan area. The muddy filling in upper caves was deposited under subaerial fresh-water setting, while the muddy filling in lower caves was formed in the mixed water body of fresh-water and dominated sea water. Although most chemical fillings are suggested being precipated in the burial diagenetic environment after karstification but mineralogic and geochemical characteristics of some chemical fillings indicates they formed in meteoric environment during the karstification. It is obvious that the palaeokarst has been zoned in vertical profile. It can be divided into four units from top to bottom: surface karst, vadose karst, phreatic and tranquil flow zones. Between two types of limestone karst and dolostone karst are firstly differentiated in Tarim Basin, based on the comparison of features of each karst zone in limestone and dolostone regions. In Tabei area, the lowest depth of karstification is approximately 300 m below the Upper Ordovician unconformity interface, while the bottom depth of karstification in Tazhong area ranges commonly from 300 to 400 m, in rare cases may be up to 750 m below the upper Ordovician unconformity interface. In Lunnan and Tazhong areas, the palaeokarst morphology and the surface hydrosystem are firstly reconstructed based on the top of carboniferous "Shuangfeng limestone bed (Double-Peaks limestone)" as basal. According to the palaeomorphologic feature, karst topography can be divided into three units: karst upland, karst slope, and karst valley. Vadose zone was well developed in karst upland, and it can be found in a quite depth. Both vadose and phreatic zones were well developed in karst slope and upstream valley. In downstream valley, the karstification is not strong, the vadose and phreatic zones are thin in thickness. In Tazhong and Yingmaili areas, karstification is also developed in relict carbonate palaeo-hills which existed as isolated blocks admits clastic strata.

A high toughness wear resistant coating is produced by laser clad Fe-Cr-W-Ni-C alloys. The microstructural and compositional features of the laser-solidified microstructures and phase evolutions occurring during high temperature tempering at 963 K were investigated by using analytical electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis. The clad coating possesses the hypereutectic microstructure consisted of M7C3 + (Y + M7C3) Du ring high temperature aging, the precipitation of M23C6 and M2C in austenite and in situ transformation of dendritic M7C3 to M23C6 and eutectic M7C3 to M6C occurred. The laser clad coating reveals an evident secondary hardening and superior impact wear resistance.

应用有限元方法对层流等离子体射流不锈钢表面重熔工艺中的瞬态热物理现象进行了数值模拟研究.针对不同加热距离,确定了材料熔化和凝固过程中的瞬态温度场、温度梯度和凝固率的时间和空间分布特征.通过引入等效温度面积密度概念,研究了不锈钢重熔热处理的适合条件.结果表明,9~13mm的范围是较为适宜的加热距离,该结果与试验观察基本符合.

Here we attempt to characterize protein evolution by residue features which dominate residue substitution in homologous proteins. Evolutionary information contained in residue substitution matrix is abstracted with the method of eigenvalue decomposition. Top eigenvectors in the eigenvalue spectrums are analyzed as function of the level of similarity, i.e. sequence identity (SI) between homologous proteins. It is found that hydrophobicity and volume are two significant residue features conserved in protein evolution. There is a transition point at SI approximate to 45%. Residue hydrophobicity is a feature governing residue substitution as SI >= 45%. Whereas below this SI level, residue volume is a dominant feature. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

The features of the wake behind a uniform circular cylinder at Re = 200, which is just beyond the critical Reynolds number of 3-D transition, are investigated in detail by direct numerical simulations by solving 3-D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations using mixed spectral-spectral-element method. The high-order splitting algorithm based on the mixed stiffly stable scheme is employed in the time discretization. Due to the nonlinear evolution of the secondary instability of the wake, the spanwise modes with different wavelengths emerge. The spanwise characteristic length determines the transition features and global properties of the wake. The existence of the spanwise phase difference of the primary vortices shedding is confirmed by Fourier analysis of the time series of the spanwise vorticity and attributed. to the dominant spanwise mode. The spatial energy distributions of various modes and the velocity profiles in the near wake are obtained. The numerical results indicate that the near wake is in 3-D quasi-periodic laminar state with transitional behaviors at this supercritical Reynolds number.

The three-dimensional transition of the wake flow behind a circular cylinder is studied in detail by direct numerical simulations using 3D incompressible N-S equations for Reynolds number ranging from 200 to 300. New features and vortex dynamics of the 3D transition of the wake are found and investigated. At Re = 200, the flow pattern is characterized by mode A instability. However, the spanwise characteristic length of the cylinder determines the transition features. Particularly for the specific spanwise characteristic length linear stable mode may dominate the wake in place of mode A and determine the spanwise phase difference of the primary vortices shedding. At Re = 250 and 300 it is found that the streamwise vortices evolve into a new type of mode - "dual vortex pair mode" downstream. The streamwise vortex structures switch among mode A, mode B and dual vortex pair mode from near wake to downstream wake. At Re = 250, an independent low frequency f(m) in addition to the vortex shedding frequency f(s) is identified. Frequency coupling between f(m) and f(s) occurs. These result in the irregularity of the temporal signals and become a key feature in the transition of the wake. Based on the formation analysis of the streamwise vorticity in the vicinity of cylinder, it is suggested that mode A is caused by the emergence of the spanwise velocity due to three dimensionality of the incoming flow past the cylinder. Energy distribution on various wave numbers and the frequency variation in the wake are also described.

The effect of substrate laser-discrete quenching on the degradation failure of chromium-plated gun barrels was metallurgically investigated. The results show that substrate laser-discrete quenching changes the failure patterns of chromium coatings during firing, and some periodic through-thickness cracks in the fired chromium coatings are justly located at original substrate zones between two adjacent laser-quenched tracks. Moreover, chromium coatings and the laser-quenched zones on the substrate are simultaneously degraded in microstructure and property during firing. Furthermore, the periodic structure of the laser-discrete-quenched steel (LDQS) substrate near the breech remains after firing, and the hardness of the fired laser-quenched zones is still higher than that of original substrates. The specific failure features were utilized to illustrate the mechanism of the extended service life of chromium-plated gun barrels with the LDQS substrate. Unsteady and two-dimensional numerical simulation is applied to study the transition process from steady convection to turbulence via subharmonic bifurcation in thermocapillary convection of a liquid bridge in the half-floating zone. The results of numerical tests show clearly the fractal structure of period-doubling bifurcations, and frequency-locking at f/4, f/8, f/16 with basic frequency f is observed with increasing temperature difference. The Feigenbaum universal constant is given by the present paper as delta(4) = 4.853, which can be compared with the theoretical value 4.6642016.

Presented in this paper is an experimental study on the characteristics of the turbulence produced by rising air bubbles in water. The measurements of turbulent velocities were made by using visualization technique of particle streak and computer image processing of the flow field. The turbulence features have been examined, showing that the rising bubble-produced turbulence can be approximately modeled by homogeneous turbulence as in the case of grid turbulence in air.
