There are large numbers of business communities in India which neither had any formal education nor they took any professional training but still they contribute in successful business formation. Their presence can be felt in all areas of business. Still there is a big professional gap between the educational institutes, specially the B-Schools and this independent business community. With the help of this paper an effort is made to develop a Two-Way learning relationship for the mutual benefit of both entities. It will also highlight the role of an educational institute beyond academics for the well being of society. This may lead to derive and develop the exchange of innovative business ideas and framing the suitable policies for long term sustainability in today´s competitive arena. The study conducted by researcher with a sample size of 100 which includes a mix of well known academic professionals, MBA students and non academic business professionals has revealed that there is a need of an exchange program for the mutual benefits. There exists a big professional gap in this area which can be filled with the active and effective initiative by management institutes. An effort is made in this paper to highlight this gap and to suggest some framework to bridge the gap

The figure of the coordinator in health and safety issues in the construction sector first appeared in our legislation through the incorporation of the European Directives (in our case Royal Decree 1627/97 on the minimum health and safety regulations in construction works), and is viewed differently in different countries of the European Union regarding the way they are hired and their role in the construction industry. Coordinating health and safety issues is also a management process that requires certain competencies that are not only based on technical or professional training, but which, taking account of the work environment, require the use of strategies and tools that are related to experience and personal skills. Through a piece of research that took account of expert opinions in the matter, we have found which competencies need to be possessed by the health and safety coordinator in order to improve the safety in the works they are coordinating. The conclusions of the analyses performed using the appropriate statistical methods (comparing means and multivariate analysis techniques), will enable training programmes to be designed and ensure that the health and safety coordinators selected have the competencies required to carry out their duties.

ABSTRACT The empirical evidence, applied to countries of certain size and economic development, shows that there exists a direct and positive relationship between industrial manufacturing activity, measured as a percentage of GDP, and certain economic variables, such as growth, unemployment and the foreign balance of trade. In the case of the latter, it is verified empirically that the countries with a percentage of manufacturing activity below 20% have a marked tendency for chronic deficits of the balance of trade, leading to persistent deficits in the current account, being that the former deficit is the main component of the latter. This brings about a continued increase in foreign debt that does not cease, and that will end at some point by disrupting the economy of the countries with these chronic deficits. The previous conclusions open the way to a new direction for economic policy, which promotes industrial manufacturing in each country. This is already a fact in 2014. Relevant countries, such as Germany or France in the EU, even the US and ultimately the UK, and of course countries of East Asia such as Japan, South Korea and China, have been promoting their industrial manufacturing for years. It becomes significant that the ideological debate about the goodwill of the application of industrial policy by governments, against liberal theories that maintain public powers far from these kinds of activities, has taken a step towards a horizontal-cut generalized model, where countries, with almost no exception, rely on various instruments to develop their companies that go much further than the usual R&D. Industrial manufacture is therefore valued as vital for economic stability. Even the EU, proponent for decades of non-intervention policy that goes beyond R&D, has gone full circle, ending in 2012 by proclaiming that industrial manufacture is vital for the economic stability of the EU, that it must be promoted. They even mark precisely 20% as an objective for manufacturing as a percentage of GDP. In other words, it is a given that services are not an indefinite substitute for industry, and that therefore it has a limit as such. This rejects the notion that the increase in services at the cost of manufacture is not only healthy, but is also a symptom of development. This premise is no longer true for these and other countries. On the other hand, none of this happens in Spain, where industrial manufacture receives no special attention from the public authorities, and it slides on a downward slope of percentage contribution to GDP, which accelerates the economic crisis that begins in 2007, until manufacture reaches values of around 12% of GDP in 2013. The economic policy applied is that of cost deflation, with consequential effects on wages and the capacity of the economy to generate wealth. A model is proposed for cheaper labor, akin to that of the 1960s. As a relevant indicator of this situation, manufacturing exports from Spain have not grown technologically in the last 15 years. The situation is made worse by another significant fact: almost 40% of sales of the manufacturing industry originate from companies of foreign origin, which supposes on one hand a technological dependence on foreign countries, such as in the case of the automotive industry, and on the other hand uncertainty in its future, being that they are based on maintaining cheap labor in the future, which will slow economic progress of Spaniards working in these companies. The proposition of this Thesis is to bet on a growth model for Spain that has as one of its pillars the development of a solid manufacturing industry, with increasing technological content. For this, an industrial policy plan is proposed, which includes the creation of driving agents for this plan, which must be of maximum political level. If the various governments don’t understand and assume this necessity for support of industry in the long term, independent of political change, this plan will not be accomplished. To start it, the creation or reinforcement of numerous instruments to promote the manufacturing activities are proposed, with a fundamentally horizontal nature that goes far beyond the usual R&D, and that, in several cases, have a clear similarity with others existing in other countries, having been developed for years. The promotion of the manufacturing industry needs new instruments, such as the long-term financing of companies, an orderly and efficient promotion of international activity of exporting companies, the most of which export manufactured goods, education and professional training which is in tune with these objectives, some instruments which support in particular the development of the manufacturing industry, or the minor yet significant participation of the State in Spanish companies belonging to strategic sectors, among others. In summary, this Thesis proposes an different alternative to the economic policy of leaving the manufacturing industry of Spain to its chances, and to base the economic future of Spain on a cheaper labor force.

ABSTRACT Architecture and construction must generate a common good for the society and environment, the architects have the responsibility of mitigating many negative effects that are generated in this profession; this is not possible if the students graduate with a void knowledge on the sustainable architecture that is why the concern for developing the present thesis, with the aim to contribute to the development of the architecture sharing knowledge to generate knowledge, seeing as the investigation that later develops is focused on the development of the sustainable architecture in about the student’s professional training, where it could connect the new professional requirements raised from the sustainability. The architect’s professional training has tried to approach the humanistic, technical, cultural, technological knowledge, structural calculation, fittings and constructions; nevertheless, there has been left aside what includes the sustainable architecture, as quality of life, design bioclimatic, renewable energies, sustainable regulations, viable economy, emission, pollution and generated, material residues, constructive sustainable elements, urban spot, ecological fingerprint, environmental impact and analysis of the life cycle, between other strategies or elements. Across the scientific and deep research that has been realized, it reaches to make up the systematic knowledge that he contributes to the resolution of the problems of our society, environment and education, with the production of a methodological system of evaluation and application of sustainability in the educational models. To develop the system of evaluation and application, there is a methodology of research where it justifies itself the need of the creation of the above mentioned system, on the basis of the analysis of the current situation of the environment and the direct relationship with the architecture, construction and knowledge acquired in the architecture student’s education, where there is demonstrated the matter of the education of the sustainable architecture in the development of the companies. Based on the analysis of methodologies and systems that evaluate the sustainability of the buildings and the systems that evaluate the education, there is one own proposes to evaluate the subjects of the educational models on the basis of sustainable proposed elements. The present research places in a general strategy of promoting the evaluation and application of the sustainability in the educational models of the schools of architecture worldwide; since case of study will evaluate the study plan called Minerva, of the Meritorious Autonomous University of It Populates in Mexico, where I have realized a stay of researching and the Technical Top School of Architecture of the Technical University of Madrid in Spain, where the PHD has been done.

----------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY--------------------------------------------------- The history of architecture is measured - in part - by the evolution of fashion, periods and styles of religious architecture. In the emergence of the new interfaith university chapel of the 1950s in North America, the chapel of MIT, named after its inauguration as "Kresge Chapel" in honor of its benefactor, was the best example of a prototype, in this time so marked by the emergence of new postwar consciousnesses. The thesis focuses its research on this chapel; how it came about in response to the need to reconcile formal scientific and technological education with religious and humanist training for the program imposed as an extension of the campus of MIT in the university district of Cambridge, Boston Massachusetts, around two main projected buildings : Chapel and auditorium. From research work has been obtained the documentary information necessary to know how it evolved from the first sketches to its construction. Its creation as a necessity of the university society was not at all spontaneous, being halfway between the Scandinavian influence - German and the American Lutheran tradition of neoclassical churches, the heirs to the "Akron Plan". The academic and professional training directed by his father, Eliel Saarinen, together with the travels of the architect, a "genetic" heritage with this external prototype for the emerging "international style", and help to understand the complex dimension of what the chapel is capable of representing. The chapel is an emotional refuge of light and is a remarkable turning point in the recovery of such focused renewed and evolved, along with the double lumen resource - gimmicky, vertical to the altar and lower horizontal, distributed from the undulating perimeter inside, the example is shown to promote a certain sensitivity to the new forms of "religion" but vague religious profile emerging in the America of the 50s. From the syncretism as a mechanism and main "modus operandi" of the project, FAITH versus REASON appears as permanent dualism in all phases of the project from a process of finding the harmony of both and for each of them. With the study of the prototypical model of MIT, we seek the "pattern" used by the architect in his projection of "new church" adapted to the cultural and religious diversity and new and different humanist sensitivities for the project. The development sheds enough light to understand the architectural patterns of the chapel, making it the perfect and harmonic communion named opposites on the campus of MIT. Along the way, furthermore, the research sheds light and order on the phases of the project through the contribution, collection, sorting and order of data, dates and graphic documents, today scattered and confusingly published, due to inexistence of a deep and comprehensive study like this work is meant to be, in the context of such a seminal work in the history of modern architecture. The final pattern will demonstrate the syncretic artifice of each of the parts - each in itself and all together - forming the "Ima Summis" of the chapel; the result of the project action deducted from its deciphered genetic series. Being the SYNCRETIC, the main attribute of the built matter, passing from the mystical to the scientific, from the intuitive to the reasoned and always with the vehicle of architecture as the representation of the ineffable. As for the structure of the thesis, the development starts from an introduction in which the intentions are declared and the context of that which is investigated is described, in terms of the main hypothesis announced in the subtitle of the thesis. Faced with previous considerations of the chapel and the research itself, the principal hypothesis is expressed and explained, along with other secondary objectives. To conclude the introduction, the method followed is described as a strategy and the structuring of the document is justified for the compression of this work towards its conclusions. It is in the first chapter of the thesis, the C1, where the main body of the work is initiated through the historiographical account of the situation and context prior to the chapel as antecedents. A second chapter, C2, addresses the study of the development of the project and of the work and construction of the chapel, based on the necessary documentary evidence. To this end, the analysis begins with the description of the place, the commission and the program, moving on to analyze in detail the various proposals of each phase. What is projected, how it evolved and through what phases passed the project to, among other questions, understand the change in style between the phase of influence of Mies through the projected chapel in the ITT of Chicago chapel (called in this work as "miesian" influences or models) and the reunion with the modus of making initiated by his father Eliel, through a model equally at once of Scandinavian-German heritage and of the American-Lutheran tradition, (referred to in this work as "saarinian" inheritance or models). In the third chapter, C3, we study and analyze the most notable elements in which are found those particularities referred to as "genetic" in each of the principal parts, (see above C3.1.1... - C3.1.8), where these influences - sometimes synergies - are traced, helping to justify and form a classification based on four of those principals (see above C3.2), from which, at the end of this chapter may be discerned a matrix pattern, that of the chapel itself (see above. C3.3.), based on concurrent architectural orders. Once the necessary information and order is obtained, we come to the decisive point in the fourth chapter, C4, where the syncretic capacity of the chapel in response to the main hypothesis indicated in the subtitle of the thesis is justified. For this, the chapter beings with the focus and context of the terms "syncretism" and "syncretic", providing justification for their use for this research, going on to assert that the chapel is syncretic from the sum of two fundamental aspects: the first corresponds to the interfaith and non-denominational capacities of the chapel, its ability to transcend both situations and be recognizable by both the religious and the scientific. The second corresponds to the sum of the different syncretic parts, each in themselves, capable of making together a syncretic building with the opposite. Once discerned the keys to the syncretic and epic in the chapel and despite its dual character both SACRED and PROFANE, a comparatison positions the chapel as being unique among interfaith examples built in the 1950s, without being repeated in the same way and with the same result over time or in any other university or centre of technology. So, the exhibition of this work ends with the last chapter, C5, in which from that comparison a number of issues come together and to distance themselves from MIT and bear out the initial proposition, concluding that the hypothesis and its pattern, the pattern of the syncretic which models the "modus operandi" of the architect to contain the ineffable. The research closes ranks around four conclusions for the four main chapters; C2, C3, C4, and C5 The chapel of MIT as a prototypical model is not repeated in time, or any other university and is positioned as the best prototype - a landmark of a new universitary religious architecture.

The aim of this study was to investigate the injury incidence and injury characteristics of a Spanish sub-elite professional football team during four consecutive seasons. A team was followed prospectively from the season 2003-2004 to 2006-2007 and individual player exposure and time loss injuries were recorded during all club training sessions and matches. A total of 313 time-loss injuries were recorded. The mean injury incidence was 10.9 injuries/1000 hours (5.2 injuries/1000 training hours and 44.1 injuries/1000 match hours). The injury incidence during competitive matches was higher (p < 0.001) than in friendly matches (55.8 vs. 22.6 injuries/1000 hours). The incidence of major injuries (>28 days absence) was 0.4 injuries/1000 hours. The thigh was the most commonly (35%) injured region and caused 29% of all competitive match absence. Muscle injuries in the four main groups of the lower limbs (hamstrings, adductors, quadriceps and calf muscles) caused 43% of competitive match unavailability. The results of this study show that the risk to sustain a major injury in the course of the season was low for sub-elite footballers in comparison to elite players. Thigh strains were the first cause of absence in competition due to injury.

It has been used since the early 1960’s, but due to poor results as diagnostic tool and a lack of methodological standards and quality assurance (Head et al., 2002), it was rejected from the medical field. Nevertheless, the technological improvements of IRT in the last years have made possible a resurgence of this technique (Jiang et al., 2005; Vainer et al., 2005; Cheng et al., 2009; Spalding et al., 2011; Skala et al., 2012), paving the way to new applications not only focused on the diagnose usages. Among the new applications, we highlighted those in physical activity and sport fields, where it has been recently proven that a high resolution thermal images can provide us with interesting information about the complex thermoregulation system of the body (Hildebrandt et al., 2010), information than can be used as: training workload quantification (Čoh & Širok, 2007), fitness and performance conditions (Chudecka et al., 2010, 2012; Akimov et al., 2009, 2011; Merla et al., 2010; Arfaoui et al., 2012), prevention and monitoring of injuries (Hildebrandt et al., 2010, 2012; Badža et al., 2012, Gómez Carmona, 2012) and even detection of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness – DOMS- (Al-Nakhli et al., 2012). Under this context, there is a relevant necessity to broaden the knowledge about factors influencing the application of IRT on humans, and to better explore and describe the thermal response of Skin Temperature (Tsk) in normal conditions, and under the influence of different types of exercise. Consequently, this study presents a literature review about factors affecting the application of IRT on human beings and a classification proposal about them. We analysed the reliability of the software Termotracker®, and also its reproducibility of Tsk on young, healthy and normal weight subjects. Finally, we examined the Tsk thermal response before an endurance, speed and strength training, immediately after and during an 8-hour recovery period. Concerning the literature review, we proposed a classification to organise the factors into three main groups: environmental, individual and technical factors. Thus, better exploring and describing these influence factors should represent the basis of further investigations in order to use IRT in the best and optimal conditions to improve its accuracy and results. Regarding the reproducibility results, the outcomes showed excellent values for consecutive images, but the reproducibility of Tsk slightly decreased with time, above all in the colder Regions of Interest (ROI) (i.e. distal and joint areas). The side-to-side differences (ΔT) (normally used to follow the evolution of some injured or overloaded ROI) also showed highly accurate results, but in this case with better values for joints and central ROI (i.e. Knee, Ankles, Dorsal and Pectoral) than the hottest muscle ROI (as Thigh or Hamstrings). The reliability results of the IRT software Termotracker® were excellent in all conditions and parameters. In the part of the study about the effects on Tsk of aerobic, speed and strength training, the results of Tsk demonstrated specific responses depending on the type of training, ROI, moment of the assessment and the function of the considered ROI. The results showed that most of muscular ROI maintained warmer significant Tsk 8 hours after the training, indicating that the effect of exercise on Tsk last at least 8 hours in most of ROI, as well as IRT could help to quantify the recovery status of the athlete as workload assimilation indicator. Those results could be very useful to better understand the complex skin thermoregulation behaviour, and therefore, to use IRT in a more objective, accurate and professional way to improve the new IRT applications for the physical activity and sport sector.

The project arises from the need to develop improved teaching methodologies in field of the mechanics of continuous media. The objective is to offer the student a learning process to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge, cognitive skills and the responsibility and autonomy to professional development in this area. Traditionally the teaching of the concepts of these subjects was performed through lectures and laboratory practice. During these lessons the students attitude was usually passive, and therefore their effectiveness was poor. The proposed methodology has already been successfully employed in universities like University Bochum, Germany, University the South Australia and aims to improve the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition through use by the student of a virtual laboratory. This laboratory allows to adapt the curricula and learning techniques to the European Higher Education and improve current learning processes in the University School of Public Works Engineers -EUITOP- of the Technical University of Madrid -UPM-, due there are not laboratories in this specialization. The virtual space is created using a software platform built on OpenSim, manages 3D virtual worlds, and, language LSL -Linden Scripting Language-, which imprints specific powers to objects. The student or user can access this virtual world through their avatar -your character in the virtual world- and can perform practices within the space created for the purpose, at any time, just with computer with internet access and viewfinder. The virtual laboratory has three partitions. The virtual meeting rooms, where the avatar can interact with peers, solve problems and exchange existing documentation in the virtual library. The interactive game room, where the avatar is has to resolve a number of issues in time. And the video room where students can watch instructional videos and receive group lessons. Each audiovisual interactive element is accompanied by explanations framing it within the area of knowledge and enables students to begin to acquire a vocabulary and practice of the profession for which they are being formed. Plane elasticity concepts are introduced from the tension and compression testing of test pieces of steel and concrete. The behavior of reticulated and articulated structures is reinforced by some interactive games and concepts of tension, compression, local and global buckling will by tests to break articulated structures. Pure bending concepts, simple and composite torsion will be studied by observing a flexible specimen. Earthquake resistant design of buildings will be checked by a laboratory test video.

The main purpose of this work is to describe the case of an online Java Programming course for engineering students to learn computer programming and to practice other non-technicalabilities: online training, self-assessment, teamwork and use of foreign languages. It is important that students develop confidence and competence in these skills, which will be required later in their professional tasks and/or in other engineering courses (life-long learning). Furthermore, this paper presents the pedagogical methodology, the results drawn from this experience and an objective performance comparison with another conventional (face-to-face) Java course.

Some evidence shows that the rate of perceived exertion of one session (RPE-S) and fatigue (Fat) of athletes can be decreased by the intake of carbohydrates (HCO) during exercise. However, it is well known that professional athletes do not meet nutritional recommendations (NR) but a long term nutritional intervention (NI) can improve their dietary intake (DI). What is not known is whether these long-term changes in DI can influence RPE-S and Fat of training. Our aim was to conduct a long term NI to adapt the DI of one professional basketball player to current NR and evaluate the influence of these changes on long-term RPE and Fat.
