Lo scopo di questo lavoro è mostrare la potenza della teoria di Galois per caratterizzare i numeri complessi costruibili con riga e compasso o con origami e la soluzione di problemi geometrici della Grecia antica, quali la trisezione dell’angolo e la divisione della circonferenza in n parti uguali. Per raggiungere questo obiettivo determiniamo alcune relazioni significative tra l’assiomatica delle costruzioni con riga e compasso e quella delle costruzioni con origami, antica arte giapponese divenuta recentemente oggetto di studi algebrico-geometrici. Mostriamo che tutte le costruzioni possibili con riga e compasso sono realizzabili con il metodo origami, che in più consente di trisecare l’angolo grazie ad una nuova piega, portando ad estensioni algebriche di campi di gradi della forma 2^a3^b. Presentiamo poi i risultati di Gauss sui poligoni costruibili con riga e compasso, legati ai numeri primi di Fermat e una costruzione dell’eptadecagono regolare. Concludiamo combinando la teoria di Galois e il metodo origami per arrivare alla forma generale del numero di lati di un poligono regolare costruibile mediante origami e alla costruzione esplicita dell’ettagono regolare.

Analisi contrastiva delle modalità di traduzione in finnico dei Tempi verbali e delle perifrasi aspettuali dell italiano (Italian Philology) The topic of this research is a contrastive study of tenses and aspect in Italian and in Finnish. The study aims to develop a research method for analyzing translations and comparable texts (non-translation) written in a target language. Thus, the analysis is based on empirical data consisting of translations of novels from Italian to Finnish and vice versa. In addition to this, for the section devoted to solutions adopted in Finnish for translating the Italian tenses Perfetto Semplice and Perfetto Composto, 39 Finnish native speakers were asked to answer questions concerning the choice of Perfekti and Imperfekti in Finnish. The responses given by the Finnish informants were compared to the choices made by translators in the target language, and in this way it was possible both to benefit from the motivation provided by native speakers to explain the selection of a tense (Imperfekti/Perfekti) in a specific context compared with the Italian formal equivalents (Perfetto Composto/Perfetto Semplice), and to define the specific features of the Finnish verb tenses. The research aims to develop a qualitative method for the analysis of formal equivalents and translational changes ( shifts ). Although, as the choice of Italian and Finnish progressive forms is optional and related to speaker preferences, besides the qualitative analysis, I also considered it necessary to operate a quantitative one in order to find out whether the two items share the same degree of correspondence in frequency of use. In this study I explain translation choices in light of cognitive grammar, suggesting that particular translation relationships derive from so-called construal operations. I use the concepts of cognitive linguistics not only to analyze the convergences and divergences of the two aspectual systems, but also to redefine some general procedures related to the phenomenon of translation. For the practical analysis of the corpus were for the most part employed theoretical categories developed in a framework proposed by Pier Marco Bertinetto. Following this approach, the notions of aspect (the morphologic or morphosyntactic, subjective level) and actionality (the lexical aspect or objective level, traditionally Aktionsart) are carefully distinguished. This also allowed me to test the applicability of these distinctions to two languages typologically different from each other. The data allowed both the analysis of the semantic and pragmatic features that determine tense and aspect choices in these two languages, and to discover the correspondences between the two language systems and the strategies that translators are forced to resort to in particular situations. The research provides not only a detailed and analytically argued inventory about possible solutions for translating Italian tenses and aspectual devices in Finnish that could be of pedagogical relevance, but also new contributions about the specific uses of time-aspectual devices in the two languages in question.

Resumen: La vera intenzione teologica di Anselmo d’Aosta nello scrivere il Proslogion e il vero significato del suo celebre unum argumentum vanno visti nella funzione che la ragione svolge necessariamente all’interno della vita di fede del cristiano. Anselmo, come Tommaso d’Aquino, non sostiene che l’esistenza di Dio sia un “articulus fidei” ma piuttosto uno dei “praeambula fidei”. La ragione naturale ha la certezza che Dio esiste, ancora prima della dimostrazione metafisica, e questo non fa che confermare l’assurdità di pensare che non esista il fondamento reale di tutte le cose esistenti.

A importância do tema de Orfeu na dramaturgia brasileira é uma evidência já comprovada e explorada. Esta dissertação segue outra direção: propõe um estudo comparativo, permeando a relação da poesia de Vinicius de Moraes com o mito de Orfeu, emblema da genuína musicalidade poética. Os eventos míticos enfrentados pelo herói grego reúnem temas que, assimilados aos versos do poeta brasileiro, funcionam como pautas sinalizadoras de uma poética marcada pela sensibilidade musical e por uma metafísica do próprio fazer poético. Desse modo, a dissertação adota a metáfora musical, para compreender o legado de Orfeu numa linhagem de poetas brasileiros do século XX, dentre os quais Vinicius se destaca pela versatilidade de sua lira. O trabalho se divide em três acordes: no primeiro, são apresentados aspectos do mito antigo e sua revivescência, modulada, nas obras de Murilo Mendes, Jorge de Lima, Carlos Drummond de Andrade e Vinicius de Moraes; no segundo, centrado já na poesia viniciana, examinam-se dois lugares de ressonância da problemática órfica que resultam nas poéticas do exílio e do silêncio; o terceiro se fixa no páthos dos poetas, o mítico e o brasileiro. Em cada acorde, notas distintas são entoadas com maior expressividade transferências culturais, legado órfico, crítica filosófica, retórica do olhar, tragicidade e riso. Para compreender a partitura que rege a comparação, no âmbito mais geral, Peter Szondi, Gilbert Durand e Aby Warburg iluminam as ponderações; na pauta de Orfeu, comparecem estudos de Luis Krausz, Marcel Detienne, Manuel Antônio de Castro e Carlinda Nuñez; e, no que tange à obra de Vinicius de Moraes, Alfredo Bosi, Otto Lara Resende, Dalma Nascimento, entre outros contemporâneos, são essenciais. O estudo resulta na identificação de um substrato órfico, que constitui um canal de transferência cultural peculiar, na obra de Vinicius de Moraes

A presente dissertação tem o objetivo de mostrar a arte Origami sob um contexto matemático, apresentando um pequeno resumo dos aspectos história e o desenvolvimento do Origami ao longo do tempo e dando maior destaque às suas aplicações na matemática, com o emprego dos axiomas de Huzita e a proposta de ampliação deste conjunto de axiomas com a inclusão da circunferência no papel Origami. Com o uso das técnicas de dobraduras, este trabalho mostra várias aplicações do Origami na matemática, tais como: a solução de alguns problemas clássicos, a construção de polígonos, a demonstração da soma dos ângulos internos de um triângulo, cálculo de algumas áreas, a solução de alguns problemas de máximos e mínimos, seguidos dos conceitos matemático envolvidos em cada um deles. E a inclusão da circunferência no plano Origami permitiu ainda, o estudo das construções das cônicas por dobraduras

The work examines the change involving the Church in Tunisia from the period of the Protectorate to the present through the fundamental moments of independence (1956) and the signing of the ‘Modus vivendi’ (1964). In the first structure of the “modern” Church, a fundamental role was played by the complex figure of the French Cardinal Charles-Allemand Lavigerie who, while giving strong impulse to setting up disinterested charitable social initiatives by the congregations (Pères Blancs, Soeurs Blanches and others), also represented the ideal of the ‘evangelizing’ (as well as colonial) Church which, despite its declared will to avoid proselytism, almost inevitably tended to slip into it. During the French Protectorate (1881-1956) the ecclesiastic institution concentrated strongly on itself, with little heed for the sensitivity of its host population, and developed its activities as if it were in a European country. From the social standpoint, the Church was mostly involved in teaching, which followed the French model, and health facilities. In the Church only the Pères Blancs missionaries were sincerely committed to promoting awareness of the local context and dialogue with the Muslims. The Catholic clergy in the country linked its religious activity close to the policy of the Protectorate, in the hope of succeeding in returning to the ancient “greatness of the African Church”, as the Eucharistic Congress in Carthage in 1930 made quite clear. The Congress itself planted the first seed in the twentyfive- year struggle that led the Tunisian population to independence in 1956 and the founding of the Republic in 1957. The conquest of independence and the ‘Modus vivendi’ marked a profound change in the situation and led to an inversion of roles: the Catholic community was given the right to exist only on the condition that it should not interfere in Tunisian society. The political project of Bourguiba, who led the Republic from 1957 to 1987, aimed to create a strongly egalitarian society, with a separation between political and religious powers. In particular, in referring to the Church, he appeared as a secularist with no hostility towards the Catholics who were, however, considered as “cooperators”, welcome so long as they were willing to place their skills at the service of the construction of the state. So, in the catholic Community was a tension between the will of being on the side of the country and that of conserving a certain distance from it and not being an integral part of it. In this process of reflection, the role of the Second Vatican Council was fundamental: it spread the idea of a Church open to the world and the other religions, in particular to Islam: the teaching of the Council led the congregations present in the country to accept the new condition. This new Church that emerged from the Council saw some important events in the process of “living together”, of “cultural mixing” and the search for a common ground between different realities. The almost contemporary arrival of Arab bishops raised awareness among the Tunisians of the existence of Christian Arabs and, at the same time, the Catholic community began considering their faith in a different way. In the last twenty years the situation has continued to change. Side by side with the priests present for decades or even those born there, some new congregations have begun to operate, albeit in small numbers: they have certainly revitalized the community of the faithful, but they sometimes appear more devoted to service “within” the Church, than to services for the population, and are thus characterized by exterior manifestations of their religion. This sort of presence has made it possible for Bourguiba's successor, Ben Ali (president from 1987 to 2011), to practice forms of tolerance even more clearly, but always limited to formal relations; the Tunisians are still far from having a real understanding of the Catholic reality, with certain exceptions connected to relations on a personal and not structured plane, as was the case in the previous period. The arrival of a good number of young people from sub-Saharan Africa, most of all students, belonging to the JCAT, and personnel of the BAD has “Africanized” the Church in Tunisia and has brought about an increase in Christians' exterior manifestations; but this is a visibility that is not blatant but discreet, with the implicit risk of the Church continuing to be perceived as a sort of exterior body, alien to the country; nor can we say, lacking proper documentation, how it will be possible to build a bridge between different cultures through the “accompaniment” of Christian wives of Tunisians. Today, the Church is living in a country that has less and less need of it; its presence, in the schools and in health facilities, is extremely reduced. And also in other sectors of social commitment, such as care for the disabled, the number of clergymen involved is quite small. The ‘revolution’ in 2011 and the later developments up to the present have brought about another socio-political change, characterized by a climate of greater freedom, but with as yet undefinable contours. This change in the political climate will inevitable have consequences in Tunisia’s approach to religious and cultural minorities, but it is far too soon to discuss this on the historical and scientific planes.
