Hydrochalcogenation of activated olefines. Synthesis of functionalized dialkylchalcogenides

Alkanethiols, selenols and tellurols are generated in situ by reaction of elemental sulfur, selenium and tellurium with commercial alkyllithiums, followed by reaction with deoxygenated water.
