Background: Popular approaches in human tissue-based biomarker discovery include tissue microarrays (TMAs) and DNA Microarrays (DMAs) for protein and gene expression profiling respectively. The data generated by these analytic platforms, together with associated image, clinical and pathological data currently reside on widely different information platforms, making searching and cross-platform analysis difficult. Consequently, there is a strong need to develop a single coherent database capable of correlating all available data types.
Method: This study presents TMAX, a database system to facilitate biomarker discovery tasks. TMAX organises a variety of biomarker discovery-related data into the database. Both TMA and DMA experimental data are integrated in TMAX and connected through common DNA/protein biomarkers. Patient clinical data (including tissue pathological data), computer assisted tissue image and associated analytic data are also included in TMAX to enable the truly high throughput processing of ultra-large digital slides for both TMAs and whole slide tissue digital slides. A comprehensive web front-end was built with embedded XML parser software and predefined SQL queries to enable rapid data exchange in the form of standard XML files.
Results & Conclusion: TMAX represents one of the first attempts to integrate TMA data with public gene expression experiment data. Experiments suggest that TMAX is robust in managing large quantities of data from different sources (clinical, TMA, DMA and image analysis). Its web front-end is user friendly, easy to use, and most importantly allows the rapid and easy data exchange of biomarker discovery related data. In conclusion, TMAX is a robust biomarker discovery data repository and research tool, which opens up the opportunities for biomarker discovery and further integromics research.

Purpose: The measurement of broadband ultrasonic attenuation (BUA) in cancellous bone for the assessment of osteoporosis follows a parabolic-type dependence with bone volume fraction; having minima values corresponding to both entire bone and entire marrow. Langton has recently proposed that the primary BUA mechanism may be significant phase interference due to variations in propagation transit time through the test sample as detected over the phase-sensitive surface of the receive ultrasound transducer. This fundamentally simple concept assumes that the propagation of ultrasound through a complex solid : liquid composite sample such as cancellous bone may be considered by an array of parallel ‘sonic rays’. The transit time of each ray is defined by the proportion of bone and marrow propagated, being a minimum (tmin) solely through bone and a maximum (tmax) solely through marrow. A Transit Time Spectrum (TTS), ranging from tmin to tmax, may be defined describing the proportion of sonic rays having a particular transit time, effectively describing lateral inhomogeneity of transit time over the surface of the receive ultrasound transducer. Phase interference may result from interaction of ‘sonic rays’ of differing transit times. The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that there is a dependence of phase interference upon the lateral inhomogenity of transit time by comparing experimental measurements and computer simulation predictions of ultrasound propagation through a range of relatively simplistic solid:liquid models exhibiting a range of lateral inhomogeneities. Methods: A range of test models was manufactured using acrylic and water as surrogates for bone and marrow respectively. The models varied in thickness in one dimension normal to the direction of propagation, hence exhibiting a range of transit time lateral inhomogeneities, ranging from minimal (single transit time) to maximal (wedge; ultimately the limiting case where each sonic ray has a unique transit time). For the experimental component of the study, two unfocused 1 MHz ¾” broadband diameter transducers were utilized in transmission mode; ultrasound signals were recorded for each of the models. The computer simulation was performed with Matlab, where the transit time and relative amplitude of each sonic ray was calculated. The transit time for each sonic ray was defined as the sum of transit times through acrylic and water components. The relative amplitude considered the reception area for each sonic ray along with absorption in the acrylic. To replicate phase-sensitive detection, all sonic rays were summed and the output signal plotted in comparison with the experimentally derived output signal. Results: From qualtitative and quantitative comparison of the experimental and computer simulation results, there is an extremely high degree of agreement of 94.2% to 99.0% between the two approaches, supporting the concept that propagation of an ultrasound wave, for the models considered, may be approximated by a parallel sonic ray model where the transit time of each ray is defined by the proportion of ‘bone’ and ‘marrow’. Conclusions: This combined experimental and computer simulation study has successfully demonstrated that lateral inhomogeneity of transit time has significant potential for phase interference to occur if a phase-sensitive ultrasound receive transducer is implemented as in most commercial ultrasound bone analysis devices.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the influence of 3 different high-intensity interval training regimens on the first and second ventilatory thresholds (VT1 and VT2), anaerobic capacity (ANC), and plasma volume (PV) in well-trained endurance cyclists. Before and after 2 and 4 weeks of training, 38 well-trained cyclists (VO2peak = 64.5 +/- 5.2 ml[middle dot]kg-1[middle dot]min-1) performed (a) a progressive cycle test to measure VO2peak, peak power output (PPO), VT1, and VT2; (b) a time to exhaustion test (Tmax) at their VO2peak power output (Pmax); and (c) a 40-km time-trial (TT40). Subjects were assigned to 1 of 4 training groups (group 1: n = 8, 8 3 60% Tmax at Pmax, 1:2 work-recovery ratio; group 2: n = 9, 8 x 60% Tmax at Pmax, recovery at 65% maximum heart rate; group 3: n = 10, 12 x 30 seconds at 175% PPO, 4.5-minute recovery; control group: n = 11). The TT40 performance, VO2peak, VT1,VT2, and ANC were all significantly increased in groups 1, 2, and 3 (p < 0.05) but not in the control group. However, PV did not change in response to the 4-week training program. Changes in TT40 performance were modestly related to the changes in VO2peak, VT1, VT2, and ANC (r = 0.41, 0.34, 0.42, and 0.40, respectively; all p < 0.05). In conclusion, the improvements in TT40 performance were related to significant increases in VO2peak, VT1,VT2, and ANC but were not accompanied by significant changes in PV. Thus, peripheral adaptations rather than central adaptations are likely responsible for the improved performances witnessed in well-trained endurance athletes following various forms of high-intensity interval training programs.

Background: Measurement accuracy is critical for biomechanical gait assessment. Very few studies have determined the accuracy of common clinical rearfoot variables between cameras with different collection frequencies. Research question: What is the measurement error for common rearfoot gait parameters when using a standard 30Hz digital camera compared to 100Hz camera? Type of study: Descriptive. Methods: 100 footfalls were recorded from 10 subjects ( 10 footfalls per subject) running on a treadmill at 2.68m/s. A high-speed digital timer, accurate within 1ms served as an external reference. Markers were placed along the vertical axis of the heel counter and the long axis of the shank. 2D coordinates for the four markers were determined from heel strike to heel lift. Variables of interest included time of heel strike (THS), time of heel lift (THL), time to maximum eversion (TMax), and maximum rearfoot eversion angle (EvMax). Results: THS difference was 29.77ms (+/- 8.77), THL difference was 35.64ms (+/- 6.85), and TMax difference was 16.50ms (+/- 2.54). These temporal values represent a difference equal to 11.9%, 14.3%, and 6.6% of the stance phase of running gait, respectively. EvMax difference was 1.02 degrees (+/- 0.46). Conclusions: A 30Hz camera is accurate, compared to a high-frequency camera, in determining TMax and EvMax during a clinical gait analysis. However, relatively large differences, in excess of 12% of the stance phase of gait, for THS and THL variables were measured.

Ketoprofeeni on yleisesti käytetty ei-steroidinen tulehduskipulääke (NSAID) lampaiden ja sikojen kivunlievityksessä. Tietoa ketoprofeenin oikeista annosmääristä eri eläinlajeilla on saatavilla rajallisesti. Oikeaa lääkeainemäärää ei voida luotettavasti ekstrapoloida toisten eläinlajien tai ihmisten perusteella. Epäillyissä tulehduskipulääkemyrkytyksissä ongelmana on tietää, oliko eläimen saama lääkeannos toksinen. Lampailla tehdyn tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, muuttuuko ketoprofeenin kinetiikka kymmenkertaisella yliannoksella, tutkia yliannoksen vaikutusta munuaisiin ja löytää yksinkertainen tapa diagnosoida yliannos virtsasta. Sioilla tehdyn tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää ketoprofeenin biologista käytettävyyttä ja ketoprofeenin farmakokinetiikkaa sioilla intravaskulaarisella, intramuskulaarisella ja peroraalisella annolla. Keskeiset tutkimuksessa määritettävät muuttujat olivat AUC0-_, Cmax ja tmax. Hyötyosuus laskettiin i.v. -annon perusteella. Kuudelle lampaalle annettiin 30 mg/kg i.v. -ketoprofeenia. Ketoprofeenin pitoisuuksia seurattiin 24 tunnin ajan plasmanäytteillä, joiden perusteella määritettiin farmakokineettiset parametrit. Veri- ja virtsanäytteistä tutkittiin muun muassa mahdollisesta munuaisvauriosta kertovia entsyymejä. 24 tunnin kuluttua lääkkeenannosta lampaat lopetettiin ja munuaiset tutkittiin histologisesti. Tutkittaville kahdeksalle sialle annosteltiin 3 mg/kg intravaskulaarista, intramuskulaarista ja oraalista ketoprofeenia sekä 6 mg/kg oraalista ketoprofeenia. Tutkimus suoritettiin satunnaistettuna vaihtovuorotutkimuksena. Ketoprofeenin pitoisuuksia seurattiin plasmanäytteillä 48 tunnin ajan lääkkeenannosta ja kaikille antotavoille laskettiin farmakokineettiset parametrit. Lisäksi tutkittiin valmisteiden biologinen samanarvoisuus. Molempien tutkimusten in vivo -kokeet suoritettiin Eläinlääketieteellisessä tiedekunnassa. Samoin munuaisten histologinen tutkimus ja virtsasta ja verestä tehdyt määritykset, lukuun ottamatta ketoprofeeninpitoisuuden analysointia. Plasman ketoprofeenipitoisuus analysoitiin korkean erotuskyvyn nestekromatografialla (HPLC). Ketoprofeenimääritykset ja farmakokineettinen analyysi suoritettiin Farmasian tiedekunnassa. Lampaiden kymmenkertainen ketoprofeeniyliannos oli toksinen. Seerumin urea- ja kreatiniinipitoisuus nousivat ja histologisissa näytteissä näkyi akuutti munuaistiehyen vaurio. Useiden entsyymien pitoisuus nousi virtsassa. Selvimmin ja nopeimmin nousi virtsan laktaattidehydrogenaasipitoisuus, jonka määrittäminen vaikuttaa potentiaaliselta tavalta diagnosoida ketoprofeenin toksinen annos. Ketoprofeenin eliminaation puoliintumisaika toksisella annoksella oli samaa suuruusluokkaa kuin aiemmissa tutkimuksissa terapeuttisella annoksella, joten yliannos ei muuttanut ketoprofeenin kinetiikkaa. AUC- ja Cmax -arvot olivat suhteessa suurempia kuin terapeuttisella annoksella, joten tutkimuksen perusteella kyseiset arvot eivät nousseet lineaarisesti annoksen noustessa toksiseksi. Sioille annetut ketoprofeenivalmisteet eivät olleet biologisesti samanarvoisia keskenään. Hyötyosuus oli erittäin hyvä kaikilla antotavoilla. tmax oli kaikilla antotavoilla hieman yli tunnin kuluttua lääkkeenannosta. Oraalisen 3 mg/kg -annoksen Cmax oli 5,1 mg/l ja AUC 32 mg l-1 h ja intramuskulaarisen vastaavat arvot olivat 7,6 mg/l ja 37 mg l-1 h. Oraalisen ketoprofeenin annostasojen AUC- ja Cmax -arvot korreloivat keskenään, joten ketoprofeenin kinetiikka oli lineaarista. Intravaskulaarisen ja oraalisen annon puoliintumisajoissa oli tilastollisesti merkitsevä ero. Ketoprofeenin jakautumistilavuudessa ja puhdistumassa ei ollut tilastollisesti merkitsevää eroa eri antotapojen välillä.

This paper presents an approach to model the expected impacts of climate change on irrigation water demand in a reservoir command area. A statistical downscaling model and an evapotranspiration model are used with a general circulation model (GCM) output to predict the anticipated change in the monthly irrigation water requirement of a crop. Specifically, we quantify the likely changes in irrigation water demands at a location in the command area, as a response to the projected changes in precipitation and evapotranspiration at that location. Statistical downscaling with a canonical correlation analysis is carried out to develop the future scenarios of meteorological variables (rainfall, relative humidity (RH), wind speed (U-2), radiation, maximum (Tmax) and minimum (Tmin) temperatures) starting with simulations provided by a GCM for a specified emission scenario. The medium resolution Model for Interdisciplinary Research on Climate GCM is used with the A1B scenario, to assess the likely changes in irrigation demands for paddy, sugarcane, permanent garden and semidry crops over the command area of Bhadra reservoir, India. Results from the downscaling model suggest that the monthly rainfall is likely to increase in the reservoir command area. RH, Tmax and Tmin are also projected to increase with small changes in U-2. Consequently, the reference evapotranspiration, modeled by the Penman-Monteith equation, is predicted to increase. The irrigation requirements are assessed on monthly scale at nine selected locations encompassing the Bhadra reservoir command area. The irrigation requirements are projected to increase, in most cases, suggesting that the effect of projected increase in rainfall on the irrigation demands is offset by the effect due to projected increase/change in other meteorological variables (viz., Tmax and Tmin, solar radiation, RH and U-2). The irrigation demand assessment study carried out at a river basin will be useful for future irrigation management systems. Copyright (c) 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The age and growth of Mugil cephalus was investigated in Bonny Estuary, Nigeria, from January, 1995 to December, 1996. Length-weight relationships were isometric with length exponents of 2.84 (males), 2.90 (females) and 2.88 (overall). Modal length at age were 12.0cm, 20.9cm, 25.0cm, 28.4cm and 30.2cm TL for ages 0+, 1+, 2+, 3+ and 4+ respectively. Corresponding total weights were 20.01g, 78.93g, 173.12g, 217.61g and 247.50g, respectively. Asymptotic length (Lo) was estimated 33.2cm TL, asymptotic weight (W sub(o)) was 484g, growth coefficient K=0.55847 super(-1) and hypothetical age at zero length To = 0.152yr. Longevity, Tmax, was 5.0yr, length and weight growth performance indices were Q super(1)=2.79 and Q = 1.44, respectively. Total mortality, natural mortality and fishing mortality were z = 1.02yr super(-1), M=0.607yr super(-1) and F=O. 3129yr super(-1), respectively. The exploitation ratio E was 0.4048 and exploitation rate U = 0.2302yr super(-1)

A maioria das bacias paleozóicas brasileiras apresenta matéria orgânica termicamente pouco evoluída nos intervalos correspondentes ao Devoniano. O modelo mais adequado para se entender a geração, migração e acumulação de HC estaria relacionado às fases de intrusão de diabásio. No caso da Bacia do Amazonas, embora tenha havido condições de soterramento suficientes para a geração de hidrocarbonetos, não se deve descartar o modelo não convencional de geração como uma das formas possíveis de dar origem as acumulações comerciais de óleo e gás. Acredita-se que o intervalo mais apropriado para a geração de hidrocarbonetos (HC) inclua apenas as rochas depositadas no intervalo Frasniano, embora as rochas associadas ao intervalo Llandoveriano, também, devam ser observadas com atenção. Com o intuito de compreender melhor o papel da atividade magmática na evolução da Bacia do Amazonas, foi realizado o mapeamento sísmico de soleiras de diabásio e análise de dados geoquímicos de pirólise Rock-Eval e COT. Assim, foi possível avaliar a geração/migração de hidrocarbonetos e a variação dos parâmetros geotérmicos na Bacia do Amazonas, causados pela intrusão das soleiras de diabásio. A análise sismoestratigráfica baseou-se na interpretação de 20 linhas sísmicas 2D pós-stack, na qual foram reconhecidos e mapeados horizontes sísmicos (topos de formações e corpos ígneos intrusivos), utilizando dados de poços e dados da literatura para correlação. As intrusões de soleiras estão presentes nas sucessões de folhelhos/siltitos e anidritas das formações Andirá e Nova Olinda, respectivamente. Observou-se que as soleiras de diabásio podem estar intimamente relacionadas a diques sistematicamente orientados, tendo estes diques a função de alimentadores das soleiras. Extensas soleiras planares com segmentos transgressivos ocorrem nos níveis estratigráficos mais rasos da Bacia do Amazonas, e em maiores volumes nas formações Andirá e Nova Olinda. Em algumas regiões as soleiras desenvolvem morfologias marcantes em forma de pires. Esses corpos possuem espessuras que podem chegar a 500m. Comumente, a geometria em lençol denotada pelo paralelismo dos refletores está presente em toda extensão do mapeamento da bacia. Também foram observadas estruturas em domo. O efeito térmico imposto pelas intrusões dos corpos ígneos, diques e soleiras foi de grande importância, pois sem ele não haveria calor para a transformação da matéria orgânica. Através da análise de pirólise Rock-Eval e teor de carbono orgânico, foi possível avaliar e correlacionar os parâmetros como S2 (potencial de geração), IH (índice de hidrogênio), S1 (hidrocarbonetos livres) e Tmax (evolução térmica) com a profundidade. Foram utilizados dados de 04 poços na qual dois deles foram compilados a partir de artigos e teses publicados. As rochas potencialmente geradoras de petróleo são aquelas que apresentam COT igual ou superior a 1%. Dos quatro poços analisados, dois deles apresentam COT > 1% para a Formação Barreirinhas, mostrando que as rochas sedimentares são potencialmente geradoras de HC. Altos valores Tmax podem ser justificados pelo efeito térmico causado por intrusões de diabásio. Os resultados de índice de hidrogênio (IH) apresentaram valores abaixo de 200mgHC/g COT, indicando o potencial gerador desta bacia para gás.

O estudo geoquímico detalhado em dois poços (A e B) na porção oeste da Bacia do Amazonas visou o entendimento da quantidade, fonte e evolução térmica da matéria orgânica presente nas Formações Ererê, Barreirinha e Curiri. Foram efetuadas análises de Carbono Orgânico Total (COT), pirólise Rock-Eval e biomarcadores. Os teores de carbono orgânico total da Formação Barreirinha (Membro Abacaxis) que variam de 1,43% a 8,39%, indicaram que este intervalo possui quantidade de matéria orgânica necessária para ser considerado potencialmente gerador de óleo e gás. As outras unidades litoestratigráficas apresentaram teores de COT pouco significativos. Com base nos dados de pirólise, identificou-se que o intervalo com o melhor potencial gerador corresponde ao Membro Abacaxis. Esta seção no poço A possui índice de hidrogênio (IH) ligeiramente superior a 200 mg HC/gCOT e um potencial gerador (S2)variando de 4 a 17,76 mg de HC/g de rocha, indicando um bom à excelente potencial adequado à geração de gás e condensado. Já no poço B, em decorrência do aumento da evolução térmica, os valores de S2 e IH são mais baixos(variando de 5 a 10 mgHC/g de rocha e com valores entre 50 e 150 mg HC/gCOT, respectivamente), apenas indicando um bom potencial à geração de gás. Segundo diagrama tipo Van Krevlen, a matéria orgânica deste intervalo é heterogênea e se comporta como querogênio tipo II e III no poço A e do tipo III e IV no poço B. As características dos biomarcadores encontrados no Membro Abacaxis indicam uma origem algal e ambiente marinho. O Membro Urariá e a Formação Curiri apresentam indicadores sugestivos de aporte de matéria orgânica de origem terrestre, sendo que o Membro Urariá ainda mostra algumas assinaturas semelhantes com o Membro Abacaxis. Devido a baixa concentração dos biomarcadores cíclicos nas amostras do Poço B, não foi possível realizar uma caracterização da fonte da matéria orgânica da Formação Ererê. A avaliação dos parâmetros utilizados para a interpretação da evolução térmica, como Tmax, taxa de transformação (TT), índice de produção (IP), reflectância da vitrinita calculada (Roc) e razões entre alcanos lineares e ramificados (P/nC17 e F/nC18), indicaram que no intervalo gerador do Poço A houve geração de hidrocarbonetos, mas ainda não correu a migração. No caso do Poço B, os dados mostram que neste intervalo já houve geração e migração de hidrocarbonetos.

全球变化与陆地生态系统(GCTE)的研究一直是国际地圈一生物圈计划(IGBP).全球变化研究的焦点之一,其中植被与环境,尤其是气候的关系研究,虽然古老却又包含许多新的涵义,而陆地样带(Terrestrial Transect)则是近年来发起于GCTE,并拓展到IGBP其它核心项目的研究热点.博士后研究的主要工作有:将全球变化作为主线,以单个树种青冈(Cyclobalanopsisgtauco)为对象,研究其过去、现在和将来的地理分布与气候的关系;分别利用气温和降水指标,拓展Kira指标形成生物热量指数和干湿度指数,以及建立水热积指数,在宏观尺度上研究了中国植被与气候的关系;结合生物群区和植物功能型概念的发展以及生物多样性的研究,进行了以生物多样性保育为目的的我国生态地理区划;在熟悉IGBP陆地样带的科学计划并总结其最新发展动态的基础上,分析了中国东北样带的基本生态地理特征;最后,粗略分析r生物性多样保育与自然保护区建设和管理的关系问题。 1.植被一环境(气候)分类:指标、系统和模型 植被一气候关系是一个古老的命题,但在当今的全球变化研究中成为最基础和最具活力的工作。从单一因子的或多因子简单组合的分类指标,如Koppen,Box指标等,到以可能蒸散为基础的综合分类指标,如Penman,Thornthwaite, Holdridge,Budyko,Kira指标等,科学家们发展了众多的植被一气候分类系统和模型,如Koppen.Thornthwaite,Holdridge. Kira. Box. Neilson.Woodward, Budyko, Prentice系统,以及Holdridge,Uvardy,Matthews. Olson. Bailey.Woodward.Prentice. Box模型,为现今植被一气候关系的研究以及全球变化对陆地生态系统的影响,和大气C02增加对潜在植被变化的响应预测奠定了良好的基础。 2.基于物种的植被一气候关系研究:中国青冈的地理分布与气候的关系 在广泛收集青冈[Cyclobalanopsis glauca (Thunb.) Oerst.]地理分布资料的基础上,利用目前国际上比较流行的研究植被与气候相互关系的指标和方法,包括Kira的水热指标、Penman的公式、Thomthwaite的指标和气候分类、Holdridge的生命地带分类系统指标, 以及年平均气温(TEMP). 1月均温(Tl)、’7月均温(T7)、极端最高气温(TMAX)、极端最低气温(TMIN).≥10℃积温(AT)和年降水量(PREC),研究了青冈在中国的地理分布与气候的关系,讨论了青冈垂直分布的上限、下限以及北界的Kira热量指标状况。根据孢粉资料和历史文献,探讨r历史时期青冈在中国大陆的分布与变迁及其与气候的关系,并利用Holdridge生命地带分类系统指标预测了C02浓度倍增条件下中国青冈分布区的可能变化。 3.宏观尺度上的中国植被一气候关系 1)用气温、降水指标研究中国植被一气候关系 能够在气象台站直接、方便地测试到的年平均气温、降水量指标,与其它水热气候因子有显著的相关性,用它们来研究中国植被与气候的关系是可行且有用的。利用全国689个气象站点的气象记录,计算得出了中国各植被地带、亚地带的年平均气温,年降水量指标和温雨系数,利用生态信息系统EIS作出了各气候指标在中国的分布,并将年平均气温和降水量作散点图,均较好地表现了中国各植被类型与气候指标的关系和格局。总结可得中国各植被地带的气候指标范围及界限。综合孢粉,古生物等资料信息,前人确定在全新世中期中国存在一个大暖期,其中稳定暖湿的鼎盛阶段在7.2—6,0 Ka.B.P.,其时中国境内大部分地区的年平均气温比现在高2℃左右,年降水平均高于现在100 mm,通过数学处理,利用生态信息系统恢复重建了全新世大暖期中国大陆的气温和降水分布状况.参考孢粉、古植物和他人研究资料及现代植被气候关系,恢复编制了大暖期鼎盛阶段中国大陆的植被区划图,与现代植被区划相比较,东部各个植被带在大暖期盛时表现出明显的北迁,温带植被的迁移幅度大于亚热带和热带植被;西部的植被带出现了经向西迁,西北部的草原范围扩张,荒漠缩小;青藏高原地区高寒半荒漠和荒漠植被的范围大大缩小,而且植被带仍有不同程度向北迁移的表现。这可为预测与阐明未来的气候变化和植被变迁提供有力的证据. 2)KIRA指标的拓展及其在中国植被与气候关系研究中的应用 根据Kira以月平均气温5℃为界的热量指数和干湿度指数概念,提出了以月平均气温10℃为界的生物热量指数,包括生物温暖指数BWI和生物寒冷指数BCI,并修正其干湿度指数为生物干湿度指数BK。利用中国689个标准气象台站的资料,分析我国主要植被类型分布与热量因子和干湿度因子的关系,得出两者之间有较好的相关性,生物温暖指数、寒冷指数和干湿度指数的散点图,较好地表现了中国各植被类型与气候指标的关系和格局。并得出中国各植被地带的气候指标范围及界限,以1 0℃为界的生物温暖指数不仅对我国森林植被的地理分布和温度气候带的划分具有较好的指示作用,而且对西南部高山、亚高山地区的植被与气候关系指示性较强;生物寒冷指数则对亚热带和热带的指示性很好,能够较好区分亚热带南部及热带地区;由热量指数和降水量综合得出的生物干湿度指数,对中国西北部干旱、半干旱区以至全国的植被分布与水分、热量因子的关系分析有较好的应用价值。 3)水热积指数的估算及其在中国植被与气候关系研究中的应用 试图利用大气年平均气温、年降水量、可能蒸散和土壤水分平衡之间的关系建立一个水热积指数,并应用年平均气温.水分盈亏值和水热积指数三个气候变量来限定植物群落组合,构成一个圆形的生命-气候图式.根据全国689个标准气象台站的气候资料,计算了中国8个植被地带和26个亚地带的年平均气温、年水分盈亏和水热积指数,绘制了各气候指标在中国的分布图及散点图,较好表现了中国各植被类型与气候指标的关系和格局,包括寒温带针叶林、冷温带针阔叶混交林、暖温带落叶阔叶林、亚热带常绿阔叶林、热带雨林和季雨林、温带草原、温带荒漠、青藏高原高寒植被,并得到了中国各植被地带的气候指标范围及界限。通过分析可以看出,年平均气温的等值线较好地反映了中国大陆的热量梯度,经度和纬度方向的区分均较明显;土壤水分盈亏曲线的等值线则比较零乱;综合了热量和水分差异的水热积指数,其等值线与热量梯度和水分梯度均有一定的对应性,与植被类型的对应也较好。这是在宏观尺度上进行的植被与气候关系研究的一种尝试,有待于增加机理性的内容,使其得到进一步的改进。 4.生物多样性保育和全球变化研究中的陆地生物群区类型 Biome(生物群区)是当今生物多样性保育和全球变化研究中的一个重要概念,根据此概念及植物功能型概念的发展,评述了9个重要的世界陆地生物群区分类系统,并根据中国的植被分类和区划,尝试划分了在中国的生物多样性保育和全球变化研究中所需要的陆地生物群区类型。 5.中国生物多样性的生态地理区划 利用各种生态地理因子,包括气候指标如与植物耐寒性有关的绝对最低温度(TMrN),最冷月平均气温(TJAN),最冷月日平均温度的最大值(MXT)和最小值(MIT);与需热性有关的植物生长季积温(AT);年降水量的季节分配,包括最冷月降水(PJAN),最热月降水(PJUL),年降水量,年降水的统计标准差(PSD)和变异系数(年变率PCV);植被指标如植被类型(VEGET)、,植被区划类型(VEGED)、植被的净第一性生产力(NPP)、植物区系类型(FLORA)、动物区系类型(FA UNA).植物特有属的丰富度(EDGENUS)以及度量植物多样性的植物种丰富度(属数GENUS、种数SPECIES);土壤指标如土壤类型(SOILT),土壤理化性质如土壤酸碱度(SOILPH)、土壤表层阳离子交换量(SOILEXC)等;地形和地貌特征如经度(LONG)、纬度(LAT)和海拔高度(ALT),利用模糊聚类的手段,综合进行了中国生物多样性的生态地理区划。采用四级区划,即:生物大区(biodomain) -生物亚区(subbiodomain) -生物群区(biome) -生物区(bioregion).全国划分为5个生物大区,7个生物亚区和1 8个生物群区。 I北方森林大区 I A欧亚北方森林亚区 I Al南泰加山地寒温针叶林 IA2北亚针阔叶混交林 II北方草原荒漠大区 II B欧亚草原亚区 II Bl内亚温带高草草原 II B2黄土高原森林草原(灌木草原) il C亚非荒漠亚区 II Cl中亚温带荒漠 ⅡC2蒙古/内亚温带荒漠 III东亚大区 III D东亚落叶阔叶林亚区 m DI东亚落叶阔叶林 III E东亚常绿阔叶林亚区 III El东亚落叶•常绿阔叶混交林 III E2东亚常绿阔叶林 ⅡI E3东亚季风常绿阔叶林 III E4西部山地常绿阔叶林 IV旧热带大区 IV F印度一马来热带森林亚区 IV Fl北热带雨林、季雨林 IV F2热带海岛植被 V亚洲高原大区 vG青藏高原亚区V Gl青藏高寒灌丛草甸V G2青藏高寒草原V G3青藏高寒荒漠V G4青藏温性草原V Gs青藏温性荒漠IGBP陆地样带:科学计划与最新进展 作为国际地圈一生物圈计划(IGBP)的交叉项目(Interproject)的陆地样带(Terrestrial Transect),已成为IGBP的全球变化研究中最引人重视的发展和新研究方法之一。它以一系列综合性的全球变化研究计划为基础,是由沿着一个主要全球变化驱动因素(如温度、降水、土地利用强度等)的梯度上的一系列研究站点所构成研究区域,并配合以模型模拟和综合分析,其地理范围为1000 km或更大的长度,数百公里的宽度,以涵盖大气环流模型(GCM)运作的最小单元。本节论述了IGBP陆地样带的概念和研究的意义,样带的类型、一般设计和选择标准,国际上IGBP样带的初步设置,包括①经受土地利用变化的潮湿热带系统;②从北方森林到冻原的高纬度地区;③从干旱森林到灌丛的半干旱热带地区;④从森林或灌丛过渡到草地的中纬度半干旱地区,以及其它的一些样带和PAGES核心计划中的PEP样带,主要内容有样带设置的原因、研究内容和主要样带特点等,并总结了样带的最新研究进展和动态. 6.中国东北样带(N ECT)的生态地理特征分析 陆地样带研究已成为国际地圈-生物圈计划(IGBP):全球变化研究的重要手段与热点。中国东北森林-草原样带(NECT)已被列为IGBP国际全球变化陆地样带之一。该样带在东经1120与130030’之间沿北纬43030’设置,长约l 600 km,是一条中纬度温带以降水为驱动因素的梯度,具有由温带针阔叶混交林向温带草原的3个亚地带:草甸草原、典型草原与荒漠草原过渡的空间系列。本文给出了样带的基本生态地理特征及其梯度分析,包括其地理位置、设置意义、地形地貌、气候梯度、土壤类型、土地利用格局、植被类型、主要优势种和群落类型的生态地理特征以及全新世适宜期(大暖期)的植被分布格局。NECT将成为我国全球变化与陆地生态系统(GCTE)与其它IGBP核心项目研究的前沿阵地。 7.自然保护区的作用、建设和管理及其与生物多样性的关系 一般而言,“就地保护”是保护生物多样性的主要措施和最根本的途径,生境的“就地保护”是生物多样性保护最为有力和最为高效的保护方法,而就地保护的措施就是建立自然保护区,通过对自然保护区的建设和有效管理,使生物多样性得到切实有效的人为保护。从自然保护区定义和类型划分及生物多样性的定义本身可以看出,自然保护区的主要保护对象是世界上丰富多彩的生物多样性,自然保护区是生物多样性就地保护的重要基地,是物种多样性的基因库,是留给野生动植物的宝贵栖息地,应把保护区的建设和生物多样性的保护与持续利用密切结合起来,合理开发利用自然资源,促进生物多样性的可持续发展。

用线性差分径向变化仪连续监测充分灌溉条件下的仕女红桃树茎直径变化,结合同步观测的气象因子数据,分析2007年3月中旬~10月下旬的仕女红桃树茎直径变化规律,为基于果树直径变化的灌溉管理提供基础依据。结果表明:仕女红桃树茎直径具有很好的时间变化规律,日变化曲线呈均匀"U"型,日最大值出现在黎明前后,日最小值出现在下午4时左右;季节变化方面,MDS呈低—高—低变化规律,从萌芽—开花期到果实成熟期的不同生长阶段,MDS平均值依次为87μm、200.84μm、253.75μm、171.67μm、138.67μm和94.34μm,坐果—展叶期和第一次果实膨大期MDS值居全生育期最高,需水量最大。桃树直径生长呈慢—快—慢变化规律,3月中下旬,开始生长,平均日生长量从12.68μm逐渐增加大36.84μm,7月24日~8月23日之间生长最快,平均日生长量达73.67μm,然后迅速下降,到生长末期平均日生长量仅为7.36μm。3~5月和7~9月可分别采用DI和MDS作为灌溉控制指标。茎直径变化与气象因子响应强烈,但不同生长阶段对茎直径变化产生主要影响的气象因子不同,对MDS产生主要影响的气象因子依次为:Rn、Tmax、Tma...

本文以过氧化物为引发剂,采用反应挤出的方法,制备了甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酷官能化聚丙烯,采用化学滴定法和红外光谱法均证实了接枝共聚物的存在,并研究了反应条件对PP-g-GMA接枝率、接枝效率和熔体流动速率的影响,结果表明:1.当DCP含量一定时,随着单体含量的增加,接枝产物的接枝率出现了一个峰值。这表明一味地增加单体浓度未必有利于接枝率的提高;2.当GMA单体浓度一定时,PP-g-GMA的接枝率和熔融指数均随着引发剂含量的增加而逐渐增大,这表明引发剂浓度的增加在促进接枝反应的同时也引入了更多的副反应;3.助剂苯乙烯的加入大大地提高了PP-g-GMA的接枝率和接枝效率,且产物的熔融指数与纯聚丙烯相比变化很小,这表明助剂苯乙烯的加入有效地抑制了副反应的发生,且促进了接枝反应的发生。研究了官能化聚丙烯PP-g-GMA的形态、结构与性能,结果表明:1.官能化对聚丙烯的结晶行为有显著的影响,不仅结晶温度和熔融温度有显著的增加,而且结晶度也有一定程度的增加;2.纯聚丙烯的结晶结构为典型的a型结晶,而接枝聚丙烯的结晶则以a型结晶为主,并出现了少量的Y型结晶;3.采用Avrami方程可以很好的描述官能化聚丙烯的初级结晶行为,纯聚丙烯和官能化聚丙烯的 tl几和tmax均随着结晶温度的增加而增加,这表明它们的结晶过程由成核控制;4.采用Jeziornn法研究了官能化聚丙烯的非等温结晶动力学,非等温结晶过程可以分为初级结晶和次级结晶两部分,在次级结晶阶段,曲线偏离了初级结晶部分的直线,表明在次级结晶阶段,官能化聚丙烯的成核与生长方式发生了变化;5.采用DMA研究了官能化聚丙烯的动态热机械行为,官能化后聚丙烯的耐热性提高了,而且随着接枝率的升高,耐热性又有进一步的提高。以官能化聚丙烯作为反应型增容剂,采用反应共棍的方法,制备了耐油型全 硫化CNBR/PP热塑性弹性体,并研究了热塑性弹性体的形态、结构与性能。主要 结果如下:1.采用红外光谱法表征了梭基丁睛粉末橡胶和PP-g-GMA间的反应。 2.透射电子显微镜和原子力显微镜结果表明,当一部分聚丙烯被官能化聚丙烯替代后,体系中橡胶粒子的尺寸明显变小了,分布也更加均一了。在CNBR/PP-g-GMIA 体系中,原位增容反应形成的共聚物位于cNBR和PP-g-GMA两相的界面处。3.加入少量接枝聚丙烯后共混物的力学性能,如拉伸强度、100%定伸强度和断裂伸长 率均有明显的提高,而且,对于CNBR/PPPP-g-GMA共混物,只需少量的界面增 容剂便可以使两相界面达到饱和并达到较好的增容效果。4.动力学和热力学因素 均影响共混物中聚丙烯的结晶行为,在CNBR/PP体系中,动力学因素占主导地位,而CNBR/PP-g-GMA体系中热力学因素占主导作用。另外,采用Avromi方程描述了CNBR/PP和CNBR/PP-g-GMA体系的等温结晶动力学。5.接枝聚丙烯的加入阻碍了接枝聚丙烯与梭基丁睛橡胶两相间的界面层滑移,因此提高了体系的粘度。以官能化聚丙烯作为反应型增容剂,采用反应共混的方法,制备了耐油型全硫化NBR/PP热塑性弹性体,并研究了热塑性弹性体的形态、结构与性能。主要结果如下:1.采用红外光谱法表征了官能化聚丙烯与端氨基液体丁睛橡胶间的反应,但仅从红外光谱的结果很难断定产物的分子结构;2.采用透射电子显微镜观察了NBR/PP共混物的微观形态,结果表明,NBR/PP共混物体系中除了含有直径为几十纳米的小橡胶粒子外,还有直径为几微米甚至几十微米的大橡胶粒子存在,且随着橡胶含量的增加,体系中大橡胶粒子的数量增多了,小橡胶粒子的分布也变得密集了;3.采用差示扫描量热法表征了NB侧PP共混物的受限结晶行为,结果表明,(1)在220℃的高温下,部分丁睛橡胶分子产生了一定的运动,从而限制了聚丙烯分子的运动,使聚丙烯分子产生了受限结晶行为;(2)随着橡胶含量的增加,橡胶粒子间的距离逐渐变小,这使得位于橡胶粒子间隙的聚丙烯分子的运动受到限制,因此聚丙烯表现出受限结晶的行为;(3)受限的聚丙烯分子更倾向于Y型结晶。

为了加速日本、华北落叶松的遗传改良进程,缩短育种周期,本文建立了用于早期选择的年遗传增益最大模型 (MAGG) 和最大未来净值模型 (MFNW)。遗传力平方根比率(g)、幼-成龄遗传相关系统(r) 和遗传预测系数等参数可用8种随时间函数来逼近,根据残差平方和与非线性回归相关指数,以二次抛物线式拟合的精度最高。不同模型利用的评价标准及参数逼近的函数不同,估算的最佳选择年龄 (tmax) 也不同。对于 MFNW模型,tmax的确定受生物学因子和经济学因子的共同影响。估算的结果表明,日本、华北落叶松的早期选择都是有效的。如果轮伐期(T)为20年,考虑改良的性状为材积,对于日本落叶松可用早期的树高作为选择指标,初选在2龄进行,第二次选择在7-8龄,早期选择的相对效率 (RSE) 分别为 14.2037 和 2.5017-1.9378;对于华北落叶松,当用树高作为早期选择指标时,第一次选择在3龄 (RSE=3.1711),第二次选择在 9-10 (RSE=1.5492-1.4561),当用树高年生长最作为早期选择指标时,第一次选择在4龄 (RSE=1.1276),第二次选择在 7-8 (RSE=1.3343-1.3436)。本文对不同轮伐期的tmax和其他性状的早期选择也作了探讨。

介绍了一种基于复杂可编程逻辑器件(Complexprogrammablelogicdevice,CPLD)设计的超低频/超大脉宽脉冲信号产生器。它的主要功能是产生低频、超低频/超大脉宽脉冲信号,其最大周期Tmax>1000s,最小周期Tmin=1ms。其脉宽可在1/1000T—999/1000T范围内以T/1000步进调节。输出脉冲f/T的精确度<0.02‰,输出脉冲f/T的稳定性<±0.01‰。输出脉冲分连续输出和单次手动触发输出。该电路可以输出TTL/TTL和NIM/NIM信号。NIM快信号的上升时间tr<4ns,下降时间tf<4ns。我们用复杂可编程逻辑器件CPLD来构建主要部分电路,和常规逻辑器件相比其突出特点是:元件少、成本低、功耗低。
