Because English is in transformation, these insights into teachers' perpectives of their subject, technology and change will contribute to the productive rethinking of the profession. El Archivo interactivo de contenidos digitales como herramienta para la gestión del autoaprendizaje y el desarrollo de la investigación post-grado

Maleta pedagògica familiar "Descobrim l'estany de Banyoles"

L’educació ambiental a Catalunya i, en concret a les comarques gironines, compta amb una certa tradició. Són diversos els equipaments que, de mica en mica, han anat oferint a les escoles la possibilitat de fer un aprenentatge directe i experimental de les Ciències Naturals i Socials, tot oferint als centres allò que la seva infraestructura no els permet obtenir o allò que el seu context geogràfic els impedeix conèixer. Doncs la ciutat de Banyoles i la seva comarca, el Pla de l’Estany, constitueixen una zona de gran interès paisatgístic i natural, a més de cultural i artístic, que comporten un gran nombre de possibilitats didàctiques ja que el propi medi ofereix un ampli ventall de recursos pedagògics. Per això, amb l’interès de fer conèixer als escolars de Catalunya la riquesa de la comarca i de recolzar amb l'experiència directa el treball de l'aula, va néixer l’Escola de Natura de Banyoles (d’ara endavant EdNB)

Geografías psicológicas de los recursos educativos

¿Qué recursos dispone un profesor, alumno, padre o escuela para optimizar los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje? El objetivo del articulo es presentar un modelo teórico que permita responder esta pregunta. Tradicionalmente los 'recursos educativos' -artefactos implicados en las actividades de enseñanza-aprendizaje- se han reducido a ciertos instrumentos como un manual o libro de texto, una libreta o una pizarra.Sin embargo, la psicología cultural advierte que nuestra geografia fisica (personas, objetos y simbolos de nuestro derredor) tiene también un valor psicológico y educativo. En base al modelo ecológico de Bronfenbrenner propone­ mos la existencia de cuatro tipos de recursos: los 'micro-recursos', los 'meso-recursos', los 'exo-recursos' y los 'macro-recursos'. Después de definir estos conceptos los ilustramos con ejemplos derivados de distintas experiencias y programas de investigación e intervención como el "funds of knowledge" ('fondos de conocimiento') de Arizona

Investigation into the interactive multimedia production processes of novice multimedia designer /producers in a constructivist environment

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the instructional interactive multimedia (IMI) production processes of adult novice multimedia production course. The study aimed at discovering whether a constructivistic teacher-learning environment facilitated these multimedia novice designer / producers to further develop metacognitivestates of higher-order thinking like schema formation, problem-solving and cognitive construction when producing their interactive multimedia project. To achieve this study examined the facilitative and limiting activities in planning, design and development that have assisted or hindered the NMDPs during their multimedia production work This research utilises a qualitative paradigm and makes extensive use of multiple data sources such as the participants’ proposals, planning aids, logs and final projects for single as well as cross-case analyses and discussion. Three cases were selected for in-depth analysis in the study because they provided interviews and more complete documentation and "thick descriptions" of their multimedia production activities. Findings about the NMDPs multimedia production endeavours showed that they learnt best about multimedia technology for teacing and learning by producing an interactive multimedia project themselves. Factors that enabled some of the NMDPs to flourish in a constructivistic environment included their ability to utilise their new and extended schemata to problem solve, their self regulation and a creative and positive attitude to demanding multimedia work NMDPs who utilised facilitative planning aids and design strategies produced impressive work. The study further indicates that the NMDPs’ holistic multimedia production experience made them aware of the levels of complexity involved and boosted their confidence about multimedia production for educational purposes. Suggestions for further research include examining the production styles of adult multimedia novices and young novices and investigating the implications of designing multimedia for large audience presentation rather than for single or small group learner usage.

IT-assisted music composition education in Hong Kong primary schools

Pluralidade cultural e educação física: elaboração de material didático

In 1997, the National Curriculum Parameters (BRASIL, 1997a) proposed the incorporation of the Transversal Themes in all of the knowledge areas. Specifically in the School Physical Education, the teacher working with transversality must stabilish bridges between the body culture practice with these themes. Promote this relationship is not a simple task and there are many problems that stuck the advance of this propose. So, thinking about making didactical formulat teaching stragies and think about the development of their practice. Another challenge is considerate as a beginning in the pedagogic activity the student’s knowledge and experience, as listening during the process of knowledge construction. In this way, the aim of this research is investigate the 8th and 9th grade of the primary school students conception about Cultural Plurality. After this, using the information taken gron the students, we are going to present subisidies to make a textbook, for the teachers and for students, with Physical Education activities possibilies with this Transversal Theme. Keeping in mind the aim of this research, we used the semi-structed interview as a instrument of data collection. The interview was made with 30 students of the 8th and 9th grade the primary school from two statual schools of Rio Claro city. The procediments were executed following the ethics comite requirements. In other to associate the Cultural Plurality with Physical Education, dance and physical adventure activities contents were selected. The results showed that the students know few thinks about this Transversal Themes, because they had apoor knowledge, according to National Curriculum Parameters. In scholar environment and Physical Education classes, there are many cases of prejudice and discrimination, mostly by the leack of ability. Organização curricular e novas tecnologias de ensino do atletismo na escola

Introdução: Atualmente a Educação Física Escolar vem passando por grandes mudanças como, por exemplo, a implementação de uma proposta curricular para as escolas da rede estadual de ensino. No entanto, a falta conhecimentos sob os temas abordados, faz com que os professores trabalhem apenas conteúdos que apresentam um maior domínio o que torna, muitas vezes, as aulas de Educação Física em aulas exclusivamente de esportes coletivos (futsal, basquetebol, voleibol e handebol), deixando de lado outros componentes da cultura corporal. Diante disso, esse trabalho propõe apresentar algumas possibilidades para o atletismo na escola, de modo a buscar a responder as seguintes questões. O que os alunos devem saber sobre o atletismo na escola? Quais valores o atletismo pode acrescentar para estes alunos? O que os alunos devem saber fazer do atletismo? Objetivo: O objetivo do presente trabalho foi apresentar uma proposta curricular de atletismo para as aulas de Educação Física na escola do 6°, 7°, 8° e 9° ano do Ensino Fundamental (3º ciclo). Essas informações foram extraídas de entrevistas realizadas com professores especialistas em Atletismo e Educação Física escolar. Além disso, buscou-se construir um vídeo didático, para o 6°ano, sobre a apresentação das provas do atletismo. Metodologia: A metodologia de pesquisa utilizada para este estudo foi do tipo qualitativa e descritiva, pois consistiu na entrevista com docentes especialistas em Educação Física escolar e/ou Atletismo, e na elaboração de material didático e audiovisual. Conclusão: Todos os entrevistados bem como as propostas curriculares, enfatizaram a importância se reconhecer todas as provas do Atletismo

Efeitos da experimentação no cotidiano letivo no ensino médio

In this work, it was studied the effects of the experimentation in the physics teaching. Beginning from the theoretic reference and discussions, the objective was prove the efficiency of researches of this nature related to two main aspects of a class: The aroused interest in the students and the facilitating action on the understanding of the theory. For such objective, using the comparison, it was chosen two distinct classes, but the more similar possible, so that, in one of them, it was showed a tradition class, lectures and in another, a class using experimentation to contemplate the theory. To manage a way to rate these aspects, it was made a conceptual questionnaire, requiring only concepts rather than mathematics and equations, besides specific interviews to rate the opinion of the student related to each method. The observations in classes and of the reactions of the students also were of a big value to analysis. After the experimental class completed, it may analyze and conclude some positive points related to experimental methods: As for the opinion of the students, the approval was big, and the majority opined to this class as being “more interesting”. On the point of view of learning, it had a sensitive improvement of grades, but with more mature answers, deep and autonomous, if looking at a general vision
