Metal-Ion-Dependent Oxidative DNA Cleavage by Transition Metal Complexes of a New Water-Soluble Salen Derivative

A new water-soluble, salen [salen = bis(salicylidene) ethylenediamine]-based ligand, 3 was developed. Two of the metal complexes of this ligand, i.e., 3a, [Mn(III)] and 3b, [Ni(II)], in the presence of cooxidant magnesium monoperoxyphthalate (MMPP) cleaved plasmid DNA pTZ19R efficiently and rapidly at a concentration similar to 1 mu M. In contrast, under comparable conditions, other metal complexes 3c, [Cu(II)] or 3d, [Cr(III)] could not induce any significant DNA nicking. The findings with Ni(II) complex suggest that the DNA cleavage processes can be modulated by the disposition of charges around the ligand.

Co(salen)作为辅酶B_(12)模型物及化学修饰电极的电化学研究

Highly enantioselective resolution of terminal epoxides with cross-linked polymeric salen-Co(III) complexes

Crosslinked polymeric salen-Co(III) complexes derived from a novel dialdehyde and a trialdehyde were synthesized and employed in the hydrolytic kinetic resolution (HKR) of terminal epoxides. 席佛碱催化剂(Salen Co(Ⅲ))催化二氧化碳和环氧氯丙烷的共聚

利用席佛碱催化体系催化二氧化碳(CO2)和环氧氯丙烷(ECH)共聚反应,合成出新型环状碳酸酯(ECHCO2)。利用红外光谱、核磁等方法对产物进行了表征。结果表明,最优化的试验温度是60℃,这一催化剂体系催化的活性高达920 polymer/(mol Co h),并且有较高的选择性,高达99%。
