(Excerto) Continuamos a confundir o jogo com o videojogo, assumindo na maior parte das vezes, o segundo como um mero sucedâneo digital do primeiro. Contudo esta não passa de uma ideia simplista da arte dos videojogos que se transformou por completo desde que surgiu em meados do século vinte. O jogo enquanto estrutura sistémica criada pelo ser-humano responde por um lado às necessidades sociais e culturais de aprendizagem (Huizinga, 1939; Caillois, 1958; Gee, 2003), e por outro às necessidades cognitivas de recompensa na forma de resolução de problemas (Kenrick e Griskevicius, 2013). Ou seja, enquanto artefacto cultural o jogo permite-nos apreender o desconhecido, interagir com o outro e optimizar as nossas respostas sociais. Enquanto estímulo cognitivo o jogo atua de forma a recompensar o nosso esforço, engajando-nos através da insistência e da repetição com descargas de prazer. E é por isso que o jogo tem sido visto pela cultura humana como um dos mais importantes exercícios no processo de construção civilizacional.

This thesis Entitled Socio-Economic Survey of a Specific village.For the purpose of analysis the thesis is divided into nine chapters. The first chapter introduces the subject of study and explains the significance of the study.It also provides the profile of the village. Chapter two deals with the different aspects of agriculture in the village.Chapter three discusses the problems of industrialisation in the Village. Chapter four is on village administration. It elaborates on the services rendered by government machinery in facilitating the development of agriculture and industry in the village.Chapter five explains the ways and means of marketing of village produce, both industrial and agricultural origin. It also explains the relevance of intra village connections in facilitating marketing.Chapter seven provides information regarding the income and expenditure pattern of the village.Chapter eight is on village social life. The blood types determination is essential to perform safe blood transfusions. In emergency situations isadministrated the “universal donor” blood type. However, sometimes, this blood type can cause incom-patibilities in the transfusion receptor. A mechatronic prototype was developed to solve this problem.The prototype was built to meet specific goals, incorporating all the necessary components. The obtainedsolution is close to the final system that will be produced later, at industrial scale, as a medical device.The prototype is a portable and low cost device, and can be used in remote locations. A computer appli-cation, previously developed is used to operate with the developed mechatronic prototype, and obtainautomatically test results. It allows image acquisition, processing and analysis, based on Computer Visionalgorithms, Machine Learning algorithms and deterministic algorithms. The Machine Learning algorithmsenable the classification of occurrence, or alack of agglutination in the mixture (blood/reagents), and amore reliable and a safer methodology as test data are stored in a database. The work developed allowsthe administration of a compatible blood type in emergency situations, avoiding the discontinuity of the“universal donor” blood type stocks, and reducing the occurrence of human errors in the transfusion practice.
