Faz comparação entre os episódios do Instituto Brasileiro de Ação Democrática (Ibad), ocorrido em 1963, e o do Mensalão, descoberto em 2005, ambos objeto de inquéritos parlamentares. O estudo busca verificar se há entre eles semelhanças que indiquem um padrão, apesar dos vieses ideológicos opostos. São analisados os quadros institucionais vigentes nas duas ocasiões, os momentos políticos em que ocorreram, os objetivos dessas tentativas, a estrutura montada para executá-las, a abundância e a origem obscura dos recursos utilizados e o uso de agências de publicidade para escamoteá-los.

This paper presents a comparative study of ac magnetization losses in two types of 2 G HTS racetrack coils. The magnetic substrate made by RABiTS is the main difference between the two types, because ferromagnetic loss caused by magnetic substrate is accounted into the total ac losses. IBAD and RABiTS tapes were successfully wound into racetrack shape with identical geometry. The measurements were carried out by using electromagnetic method with pick-up coils under a sinusoidally varying external magnetic field, with amplitudes up to 27 mT, ranging from 10 Hz to 100 Hz at a temperature of 77 K. The field was oriented perpendicularly to the surface of the tapes. Experimental measurements were validated by applying theoretical models and the results showed that the magnetization loss in the MAG RABiTS coil is always higher than that in the NON MAG coil due to the presence of the magnetic substrate, which increases the magnetic field penetration into the coil and causes higher magnetic flux density within the penetrated region. © 2002-2011 IEEE.

采用合适的离子束辅助沉积(IBAD)参数在K9基底上镀制了高激光损伤阈值的中心波长1053nm的增透膜,分别从光谱性能、吸收性能、抗激光损伤阈值(LIDT)以及退火后的影响等方面与未进行离子束辅助沉积的薄膜进行对比分析。实验结果发现,采用离子辅助制备的薄膜放置80d后具有更好的光谱稳定性,与未进行离子束辅助镀制的薄膜相比,平均吸收下降了57%,吸收值偏高的奇异点明显减少;损伤阈值提高了60%,用Leica偏振光学显微镜观察50%损伤几率的能量下破斑形貌,发现经过离子束辅助制备的样品破斑形状整齐且缺陷点少;

Antireflection coatings at the center wavelength of 1053 nm were prepared on BK7 glasses by electron-beam evaporation deposition (EBD) and ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD). Parts of the two kinds of samples were post-treated with oxygen plasma at the environment temperature after deposition. Absorption at 1064 nm was characterized based on surface thermal lensing (STL) technique. The laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) was measured by a 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser with a pulse width of 38 ps. Leica-DMRXE Microscope was applied to gain damage morphologies of samples. The results revealed that oxygen post-treatment could lower the absorption and increase the damage thresholds for both kinds of as-grown samples. However, the improving effects are not the same. Este trabalho tem como objetivo levantar quais eram as principais ideias e valores da cultura política nacional divulgadas pelo jornal A Noite durante os meses que antecederam as eleições de 1962, e em que medida eles refletiam os interesses do grupo representado pela agência de publicidade Incrementadora de Vendas Promotion. Em 1962, A Noite foi acusado de receber dinheiro para seguir a linha política do Instituto Brasileiro de Ação Democrática (Ibad). Nesse trabalho discute-se a abordagem dada pelo periódico ao governo João Goulart e seus aliados, que frequentemente foram alvo de críticas. Por meio da leitura detalhada dos editoriais, notícias e matérias publicados pelo jornal tenta-se estabelecer se houve ou não uma intensificação na oposição política do jornal ao governo federal, e que tipo de valores políticos era mais comum, dentro e fora do período eleitoral.

The critical current density Jc of an MOCVD/IBAD coated conductor was measured on tracks patterned longitudinally (L) and transversely (T) to the tape direction. Despite the samples' vicinality no dependence J c of on track direction was found for magnetic fields applied perpendicular to the film plane. In angular out-of-plane measurements the previously reported asymmetry due to tilted precipitate planes was observed in an L track, whereas curves from a T track were almost perfectly symmetric with similarly high absolute values of Jc. At low fields the effects of surface pinning were seen. Our results show that in most scenarios the current carrying capability is equally as good parallel and perpendicular to the tape direction, which is highly relevant for ROEBEL cables. In measurements where the magnetic field was swept in the film plane the anisotropy was found to be significantly higher than for MOD/RABiTS samples, which we explain by the different morphology of grain boundaries in the tapes. At low temperatures Jc of a T track exhibited a clear signature of vortex channeling. © 2010 IEEE.

The critical currents of coated conductors fabricated by metal-organic deposition (MOD) on rolling-assisted biaxially textured substrates (RABiTS) and by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on ion-beam assisted deposition (IBAD) templates have been measured as a function of magnetic field orientation and compared to films grown on single crystal substrates. By varying the orientation of magnetic field applied in the plane of the film, we are able to determine the extent to which current flow in each type of conductor is percolative. Standard MOD/RABiTS conductors have also been compared to samples whose grain boundaries have been doped by diffusing Ca from an overlayer. We find that undoped MOD/RABiTS tapes have a less anisotropic in-plane field dependence than PLD/IBAD tapes and that the uniformity of critical current as a function of in-plane field angle is greater for MOD/RABiTS samples doped with Ca. Cubic boron nitride (c-BN) films were deposited on Si(001) substrates in an ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD) system under various conditions, and the growth parameter spaces and optical properties of c-BN films have been investigated systematically. The results indicate that suitable ion bombardment is necessary for the growth of c-BN films, and a well defined parameter space can be established by using the P/a-parameter. The refractive index of BN films keeps a constant of 1.8 for the c-BN content lower than 50%, while for c-BN films with higher cubic phase the refractive index increases with the c-BN content from 1.8 at chi(c) = 50% to 2.1 at chi(c) = 90%. Furthermore, the relationship between n and rho for BN films can be described by the Anderson-Schreiber equation, and the overlap field parameter gamma is determined to be 2.05.

Cubic boron nitride (c-BN) films were prepared by ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD) technique, and the stresses were primary estimated by measuring the frequency shifts in the infrared-absorption peaks of c-BN samples. To test the possible effects of other factors, dependencies of the c-BN transversal optical mode position on film thickness and c-BN content were investigated. Several methods for reducing the stress of c-BN films including annealing, high temperature deposition, two-stage process, and the addition of a small amount of Si were studied, in which the c-BN films with similar thickness and cubic phase content were used to evaluate the effects of the various stress relief methods. It was shown that all the methods can reduce the stress in c-BN films to various extents. Especially, the incorporation of a small amount of Si (2.3 at.%) can result in a remarkable stress relief from 8.4 to similar to 3.6 GPa whereas the c-BN content is nearly unaffected, although a slight degradation of the c-BN crystallinity is observed. The stress can be further reduced down below I GPa by combination of the addition of Si with the two-stage deposition process. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Fe-N films containing the Fe16N2 phase were prepared in a high-vacuum system of ion-beam-assisted deposition (IBAD). The composition and structure of the films were analysed by Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively. Magnetic properties of the films were measured by a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The phase composition of Fe-N films depend sensitively on the N/Fe atomic arrival ratio and the deposition temperature. An Fe16N2 film was deposited successfully on a GaAs (1 0 0) substrate by IBAD at a N/Fe atomic arrival ratio of 0.12. The gram-saturation magnetic moment of the Fe16N2 film obtained is 237 emu/g at room temperature, the possible cause has been analysed and discussed. Hysteresis loops of Fe16N2 have been measured, the coercive force H-c is about 120 Oe, which is much larger than the value for Fe, this means the Fe16N2 sample exhibits a large uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Se plantea la necesidad de ampliar las actividades del Departamento de atención por correspondencia del IBAD de Córdoba para cumplir con los requerimientos de un grupo de alumnos cada vez más numeroso. Para ello, se ha definido el perfil del alumnado adulto interesado en acceder a la enseñanza a distancia, se ha planificado la oferta educativa y la programación de actividades y, para suplir la falta de contacto físico profesor-alumno,se ha aumentado el servicio telefónico en los seminarios, se han programado reuniones mensuales de los alumnos de correspondencia con sus tutoras-coordinadores y se ha potenciado la informatización. Asimismo, se exponen las funciones que,en esta modalidad de enseñanza a distancia, corresponden al profesorado como tutor-corrector y tutor-coordinador.

En el IBAD de Córdoba se han iniciado, durante el curso 1990-1991, tres programas de educación permanente de adultos: Taller de Sensibilización, Aula abierta y Curso de orientación a la prueba de acceso a la universidad para mayores de veinticinco años. El programa de Taller de sensibilización prepara al alumnado para la obtención del título de graduado escolar; el programa llamado Aula Abierta, se orienta a alumnos que no querían estudiar el bachillerato a distancia pero estaban interesados en temas culturales y de actualidad y que por razones prácticas se dividió en tres niveles. En cuanto al objetivo del Curso de orientación para el acceso a la universidad es el de la preparación del alumnado para el mundo universitario e incluía un Cursillo de Técnicas de Estudio.

Se recoge la experiencia, realizada por el departamento para centros penitenciarios y por correspondencia del Instituto de Bachillerato a Distancia (IBAD) de la Comunidad Valenciana e iniciada en el curso escolar 1990-91, consistente en elaborar y poner en marcha un proyecto didáctico para incorporar a los reclusos de distintas prisiones de la región a los estudios de BUP.
