El projecte “Ecoauditoria de l’IES Santa Coloma de Farners” consisteix en: la diagnosi ambiental del centre, les propostes de les línees d'acció, les propostes d’ actuació, la valoració i anàlisi de les propostes i l’ autoseguiment del pla d’ acció indispensables per a que el centre pugui aconseguir el distintiu d'Escola Verda que atorga la Generalitat de Catalunya. Incorporar l’ educació ambiental en el currículum escolar és un altre dels objectius d’ aquest treball. Així que es proposen activitats curriculars amb l’ objectiu de transmetre una major sensibilització ambiental a l’alumnat i a tota la comunitat educativa en general

Competencies Required in Education Research and Teaching Systematization according to Students from the Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education Programs of the University of Costa Rica

The purpose of this paper is to present the results of two online forums carried out with the participation of 42 students of the Licenciaturas  in Preschool Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education of the University of Costa Rica. The main purpose of the forums was to determine the insights of the participant students about the competencies they have achieved in the field of education research, and which have been the essential tools for them to systematize their own teaching practices. The discussion forums were part of the course FD5091 Métodos de Investigación Educativa [Education Research Methods] of the School of Teacher Education, delivered from March-April 2010.  Of the sample, 60 percent were students of the Preschool teaching program, 35 percent were from the Primary Education teaching program and 5 percent were from the Secondary Education teaching program in the fields of Science, Mathematics and Social Studies. According to the insights and beliefs showed by the participants –both, the future teachers and the profession practitioners–, there are no opportunities for research or systematization of their own teaching mediation, in the current work situation.(1) Translator’s Note: In Costa Rica, the “Licenciatura” is a one-year post-Bachelor study program, usually including thesis. “Primary Education” refers to students from the 1st to 6th grades, and “Secondary Education” refers to students from the 7th to 11th grades.

Participation factors in optional high school health and physical education

Student enrolment rates in optional health and physical education (HPE) classes have been steadily declining, to the point where most Ontario students stop taking HPE after completion of their one required credit, typically taken in grade nine. This study looked at factors that could contribute to HPE enrolment, sampling 227 grade ten students from five schools. These factors included selfefficacy (SE), perceived autonomy support (PAS), task value (TV), motivational regulation (autonomous, AR; controlled, CR), HPE grade average and body size discrepancy (BSD). Qualitative information was also gathered from students regarding likes and dislikes ofHPE, as well as reasons for their HPE enrolment choice. Cronbach Alpha values of each scale fell within acceptable values. ANOVA analysis revealed differences between enrolment groups in SE, TV, AR, HPE grade average, and BSD (p < .05). Reasons students reported for not taking HPE included a dislike of health classes, scheduling challenges, not needing HPE for future endeavors, concerns about social self-presentation, and a dislike of sports and/or competition. This research shows important differences between students and their HPE class choices and calls for a re-evaluation of how HPE classes are structured, advertised and scheduled by high school practitioners. Future works should look toward what other factors could be at play in students' decisions for or against optional HPE and how those factors interact with the constructs that were found to be of significance in this study. Adapted Physical Education teachers and teaching knowledge

In the 1980's, there was a suggestion of including the Adapted Physical Education discipline in the Physical Education Graduation Course. In this perspective, starting from the Adapted Physical Education teacher's routine, the aim of this research was to verify what these teachers know and how they manage to plan, elaborate and apply their knowledge with their students with educational special needs. It's an exploring study that had in its interview and silabus analisis technics the source of its data. Among its most important results, it showed teaching, experimental and pedagogical knowledge as part of Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education, in the arrangement, building and knowledge apliance.

Avaluació del projecte Edubosc

L’objectiu principal del Projecte Edubosc és apropar el bosc a l’aula per donar a conèixer a l’alumnat d’educació primària d’entre 8 i 10 anys, la gestió forestal sostenible i la seva importància per als nostres boscos i el seu futur. Per tal d’aconseguir aquest objectiu, el Projecte Edubosc proposa dotze activitats de sensibilització forestal que tracten temes com la multifuncionalitat del bosc, la relació del bosc amb l’aigua, els principals productes del bosc, els oficis vinculats al bosc, la prevenció del risc d’incendis i la titularitat dels boscos. Són temes que els llibres de text no tracten. Aquest treball fa una observació sobre com funcionen les activitats a diverses escoles, a partir dels resultats d’enquestes al professorat i als alumnes. Aquests resultats serviran per proposar alternatives i incorporar noves modificacions al projecte
