Análise de fadiga em rodas automotivas utilizando método dos elementos finitos

The increasing search for better performance at the automotive industry, especially on the matter of fuel consumption, caused a progressive evolution of industrial technology. For the wheel this study is based on the try of reducing mass and decreasing the moment of inertia, characteristics that directly reflect on the performance parameter, as consumption and acceleration, so that it also is effective on the growth of the profit margin, since it reduces the costs of the locomotion. In this paper will be applied the Finite Element Analysis to explain the wheel behavior and identify ways to improve the performance. To the analyze it will be simulated a test condition established by ABNT NBR 6751:2009 foreseeing a possible collapse through general yielding and fatigue. The load here presented results from the equation presented on the norms and in the datas provided by the manufacturer

Entre duas rodas e uma tela:a sociabilidade na rede social Tornadeiros

A partir do entendimento das novas possibilidades sociais permitidas pela Internet, este trabalho tem por objetivo investigar a sociabilidade em redes sociais virtuais a partir do desenvolvimento do capital social entre os membros integrantes destas redes. Buscamos compreender as motivações que possibilitam que as relações sociais sejam construídas e mantidas no e a partir do espaço virtual determinando os fatores que tornam tais relações materializadas no espaço offline. Para tal, realizamos um estudo de caso de uma rede social constituída por motociclistas, o site Tornadeiros. Logramos apreender, o contexto de interação entre os membros desta rede e de que modo o fortalecimento do capital social é propulsor do deslocamento das relações no ambiente virtual para o espaço urbano, determinando a sedimentação de vínculos afetivos entre os indivíduos, inicialmente previstos como banais e efêmeros, dado a lacuna espaço-temporal existente entre estes atores. Para explorar estas dimensões iniciamos o trabalho etnográfico no ciberespaço e posteriormente no espaço urbano. A etnografia no ciberespaço consistiu na aplicação de um questionário online para determinar o perfil dos membros da rede social e na compilação de todo conteúdo de postagens disponível na memória coletiva do site. Os dados compilados foram tratados posteriormente para determinar a topologia da rede de interações entre os membros. Deste material, selecionamos 17 discursos para estudo, articulando a análise dos discursos com as observações produzidas pelo grafo da rede de interações do site. Finalmente, no segundo momento etnográfico, nós confrontamos os resultados com as entrevistas presenciais, tornando possível perceber o estabelecimento e manutenção das relações sociais a partir do capital social desenvolvido nesta rede.

Sistemas inteligentes adaptativos aplicados a um robô auto-equilibrante de duas rodas.

Com o avanço no desenvolvimento e utilização de veículos e robôs autoequilibrantes, faz-se necessário a investigação de controladores capazes de atender os diversos desafios relacionados à utilização desses sistemas. Neste trabalho foi estudado o controle de equilíbrio e posição de um robô auto-equilibrante de duas rodas. O interesse particular nesta aplicação vem da sua estrutura e da riqueza de sua dinâmica física. Por ser um problema complexo e não trivial há grande interesse em avaliar os controladores inteligentes. A primeira parte da dissertação aborda o desenvolvimento de um controle clássico do tipo PID, para em seguida ser comparado com a implementação de dois tipos de controladores inteligentes: On-line Neuro Fuzzy Control (ONFC) e Proportional-Integral-Derivative Neural-Network (PIDNN). Também é apresentada a implementação dos controladores em uma plataforma de hardware, utilizando o kit LEGO Mindstorm, e numa plataforma de simulação utilizando o MATLAB-Simulink. Em seguida, dois estudos de casos são desenvolvidos visando comparar o desempenho dos controladores. O primeiro caso avalia o controle de equilíbrio e posição do robô auto-equilibrante de duas rodas sobre um terreno plano tendo como interesse observar o desempenho intrínseco do sistema sob ausência de fatores externos. O segundo caso estuda o controle de equilíbrio e posição do robô em terrenos irregulares visando investigar a resposta do sistema sob influência de condições adversas em seu ambiente. Finalmente, o desempenho de cada um dos controladores desenvolvidos é discutido, verificando-se resultados competitivos no controle do robô auto-equilibrante de duas rodas.

Qualidade e cinesfera do movimento de jogadores de basquetebol em cadeira de rodas

Este estudo de caráter descritivo teve como objetivo investigar a qualidade e cinesfera dos movimentos dos membros superiores de jogadores de basquete em cadeira de rodas da Associação Rio-grandense de Paralíticos e Amputados. A revisão de literatura destacou a caracterização da pessoa portadora de deficiência motora e o basquete em cadeira de rodas, assim como o significado, a qualidade e cinesfera do movimento humano. Não tendo sido encontrada literatura sobre pesquisas realizadas a respeito desse assunto quanto ao usuário da cadeira de rodas, a coleta dos dados ocorreu através de entrevistas, filmagens e fichas de observação, o que possibilitou a análise e interpretação da qualidade e cinesfera dos indivíduos da amostra. Com os resultados obtidos, foi possível verificar que, em todos os movimentos locomotores, manipulativos, estabilizantes e expressivos, os indivíduos apresentaram uma qualidade própria dentro dos fatores do movimento (peso, tempo, espaço e fluência); foram também identificadas combinações entre estes fatores (caracterizando ações básicas de esforço). Quanto à cinesfera dos movimentos dos membros superiores, os indivíduos observados, portadores de deficiência motora, demonstraram explorar diferentes direções espaciais (dimensionais, diametrais e diagonais), predominando a direção espacial diametral, denominada de movimento das ações práticas.

Efeito da natação e do basquetebol em cadeira de rodas sobre o colesterol HDL: uma investigação em indivíduos com lesão medular

Despite the observation of an increase in life expectancy in individuals with Spinal cord injury (SCI), it is lower than that of the general population. Studies have shown that affected individuals have a sedentary lifestyle that reflects negatively on health and quality of life. Studies have demonstrated that HDL cholesterol (HDL-C) levels, a high-density lipoprotein and important predictor of cardiovascular disease, are lower in this population exposing these people to a greater incidence of heart disease from atherosclerotic process In the general population, exercise increases HDL-C serum levels, but this phenomenon is not very clear in people with spinal cord injury (SCI). The present study examined the effect of both swimming and wheelchair basketball in the lipid profile of eleven men and seven women with SCI. The subjects included in regular exercise programs showed increases in HDL-C levels and decreases in CT/HDL-C and LDL-C/HDL-C ratios. We found better results mainly in men with lower levels of SCI and in those that sustained exercise intensities above 60% of the heart rate reserve. The duration of training sessions can be an essential factor in these results. The results suggest that both the exercise prescription and the personal characteristics of people with SCI influence changes in the lipid profile mediated through exercise. The elaboration of this work is an attempt to clarify uncertainties about health and the longevity of people with SCI generated in discussion of all members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, especially the physiotherapists, nutritionists, nurses and physicians that contributed considerably in all phases of the research

Efeito de rodas compactadoras submetidas a cargas verticais em profundidades de semeadura sobre o desenvolvimento do milho

O sucesso de implantação de uma cultura pode ser garantido por uma semeadura bem realizada, e as rodas compactadoras utilizadas nessa operação devem ser capazes de melhorar o contato solo-semente para promover boa emergência das plântulas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a influência de três modelos de rodas compactadoras, três profundidades de semeadura e três níveis de carga sobre a roda compactadora na germinação e no desenvolvimento da cultura do milho, em uma pista de ensaios projetada para essa finalidade, no município de Uberaba - MG, em Latossolo Vermelho distrófico, textura média. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de parcelas subsubdivididas, com 27 tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram que a profundidade de semeadura foi o fator que mais afetou o desenvolvimento vegetativo da cultura do milho no estádio 2, enquanto no estádio 4 nenhum dos fatores afetou as medidas de desenvolvimento da cultura.

Simetria na dança: vestígios matemáticos na prática da dança esportiva em cadeira de rodas

To investigate in practice of the Wheelchair Dancesport (WDS), the mathematics of the characteristic isometric movements of the dance of ChaChaCha was the generating subject of this study. The subjects and the locus of the research were the athletes dancers of the Associação Baiana de Dança em Cadeira de Rodas (ABDCR). Referred him study aimed at to describe reflections concerning the athletes' practicing dancers of the technical acting Wheelchair Dancesport, using the inherent mathematical knowledge to the isometric movements executed in the ChaChaCha. For that, I stimulated in the athlete dancer the need to be investigating of his/her own practice, motivating him/it to be searching of information that they collaborate with his/her technical refinement, proposing like this roads to make possible his/her growth, while dancer and, also, promoting of their own movements. To reach my objectives I dialogued with some specialists to understand, to the light of their theories as, Espaçonumerática, Sociology of the mathematics, Etnomathematical, Dance and Symmetry, as those spaces they interact with the atmosphere of the Wheelchair Dancesport and that contributions could supply to the study. However, two authors of the Dancesport for walking , Ried e Laird, they brought contributions that aided in the creation of a prototype for the study of isometric movements in practice of the modality promoting the interface between the theory and the practice. The study showed to be possible to navigate still with the Mathematical Education in an universe little known as the one of the Wheelchair Dancesport. And it is in this adapts that propose a more attentive glance to the illustrations executed by the athlete dancer wheelchair and walking , in the dance of the ChaChaCha, verifying and proposing an analysis with focus investigate, looking for mathematical tracks concerning the symmetry that you/they characterize some of their illustrations

Uma contribuição crítica para o redesenho de cadeiras de rodas adaptadas para crianças e adolescentes com paralisia cerebral

This work was aimed at making a critical analysis of the product wheelchair, both for using four different models, which were objects of study of the dissertation of Cláudia Regina Cabral Galvão, entitled Critical Analysis of the Mobility Products Seated a wheelchair - Used by Children and Adolescents with Cerebral Palsy in Natal / RN and other municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte . This product is considered an instrument in the social rehabilitation of great importance for people with physical disabilities. This study aims to position the issue and develop comments on technical up grading of certain models according to the needs of the user. Describes features of four models in search searched through catalogs in order to know its advantages and disadvantages of use. Were presented the definitions of ergonomics and ergonomic aspects to be considered on a design, the study of anthropometry and its recommendations. Discussions the methodology of project design in two parts: the first, on the structuring of design problem (formulation, analysis, synthesis and evaluation.) And the second on the project (design and development, implementation and evaluation and solution). With that review will include the possibilities for a new redesign of the wheelchair, based on forms of adaptation in order to achieve the target that was compressed by the average population studied. Seeks to that this project makes an improvement in quality of life of people in wheelchairs by including these people in society but also the improvement of rehabilitation

Análise crítica dos produtos de mobilidade sentada - cadeiras de rodas - utilizados por crianças e adolescentes com paralisia cerebral em Natal/RN e outros municípios do Rio Grande do Norte

The objective of this work is to critically analyze the seated mobility adaptive equipment, wheelchair, used by non-ambulatory children/adolescents diagnosed with cerebral palsy of the quadriplegy type with ages in between 0-18 years old in the municipal city of Natal/RN and of other ones in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. This study is characterized as descriptive as it took into consideration the individualized conditions of each child/adolescent and of their home environment, and also evaluates the condition of the used seated mobility devices such as wheelchairs or strollers. Thirty three (33) subjects which had a wheelchair prescribed by a healthcare professional specialist in adaptive equipment within the past 3 years were selected. A questionnaire was applied through a phone with the patient s primary care giver or parents. The results obtained showed that all the equipment being used had an anatomical seat and back and the tilt system mechanism and even though most of the patients required small individual adjustments upon receiving the wheelchair in order to accommodate to the patients characteristics. From the point of view of the caregiver/parents interviewed, 97% described satisfied with the equipment and report assistance with mobility (97%), comfort (82%) and good posture (82%) as the main positive aspects from the equipment. The results also describe the aspects related to the maintenance, time used and activities developed that were reported by the patients. The conclusion therefore is that in order to select the equipment to meet the needs of the consumer it is necessary that: an appropriate wheelchair prescription takes place, the up-to-date knowledge of equipment available in the market, the appropriate use of the resources from the concession programs of the government that purchase equipment and the establishment of link in between the manufacturers, patients and the caregivers

Localização e planejamento de caminhos para um robô humanóide e um robô escravo com rodas

This work presents the localization and path planning systems for two robots: a non-instrumented humanoid and a slave wheeled robot. The localization of wheeled robot is made using odometry information and landmark detection. These informations are fused using a Extended Kalman Filter. The relative position of humanoid is acquired fusing (using another Kalman Filter) the wheeled robot pose with the characteristics of the landmark on the back of humanoid. Knowing the wheeled robot position and the humanoid relative position in relation to it, we acquired the absolute position of humanoid. The path planning system was developed to provide the cooperative movement of the two robots,incorporating the visibility restrictions of the robotic system
