Resumo:
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar los procesos que han posibilitado la transnacionalización del movimiento independentista catalán entre 2010 y 2014. Por tal motivo, el análisis de este estudio de caso permitirá comprender con mayor profundidad las dinámicas de transnacionalización de una causa nacional, con las que dicho movimiento ha conseguido conectar lo local con lo global. Para ello, la recolección de datos cualitativos se hace imprescindible en la caracterización de este fenómeno social, a partir del uso de herramientas como la observación participante, entrevistas y el análisis documental. Esto, con el propósito de facilitar la obtención de información proveniente de fuentes primarias y secundarias, respetando la perspectiva de los actores involucrados. De tal manera, será posible evidenciar que estos procesos transnacionales se impulsan mutuamente, propiciando la proyección del debate sobre la independencia fuera de las fronteras catalanas.

L???article descriu una proposta pedag??gica adre??ada a alumnes d???educaci?? infantil d???entre 3 i 5 anys. Aquesta unitat de programaci?? pret??n abordar l???educaci?? de les habilitats i capacitats per al desenvolupament f??sic, emocional, afectiu, social i intel??lectual dels nins. El canvi consisteix a fomentar la comunicaci?? entre els companys de classe i llurs respectives fam??lies. Es pret??n afavorir la relaci?? fam??lia-escola, compartir vincles afectius familiars amb companys i mestres, adquirir seguretat emocional i afectiva, exposar objectes personals, augmentar capacitats auditives i de concentraci??, etc. La metodologia de treball consisteix que cada alumne porta en un petit malet?? objectes personals (fotografies, roba, joguines, etc.) i explica a la resta de companys aspectes relacionats amb el seu entorn familiar. En sessions posteriors, els nins v??nen acompanyats per familiars, els quals s???encarreguen de comentar fotografies i parlar de la hist??ria personal del petit. Com a activitats complement??ries a la unitat, es desenvolupen aquelles relacionades amb la lectoescriptura, el dibuix i l???expressi?? oral.

Els extraordinaris canvis experimentats en les dues ??ltimes d??cades i, com a conseq????ncia, els desafiaments que planteja la societat del coneixement i de la informaci?? requereixen una r??pida i intel???ligent reacci?? del sistema educatiu. Pocs dubten que el rol cl??ssic del professor ha de canviar per adaptar-se a aquest nou marc, la nostra tesi ??s que els mapes conceptuals i el diagrama V, constitueixen un s??lid suport en el qual podem recolzar-nos per a la millora de la doc??ncia, de la investigaci?? i de la gesti?? i, en definitiva, per abordar amb ??xit tan apassionants desafiaments. Aix??, mitjan??ant la utilitzaci?? d'aquestes eines generam persones amb recursos per treballar aut??nomament, flexibles, cr??tiques, capacitades per donar respostes r??pides a les q??estions, amb elevada autoestima i en qui es pot confiar.

The advantages of standard bus systems have been appreciated for many years. The ability to connect only those modules required to perform a given task has both technical and commercial advantages over a system with a fixed architecture which cannot be easily expanded or updated. Although such bus standards have proliferated in the microprocessor field, a general purpose low-cost standard for digital video processing has yet to gain acceptance. The paper describes the likely requirements of such a system, and discusses three currently available commercial systems. A new bus specification known as Vidibus, developed to fulfil these requirements, is presented. Results from applications already implemented using this real-time bus system are also given.

The 3rd World Chess Software Championship took place in Yokohama, Japan during August 2013. It pits chess engines against each other on a common hardware platform - in this instance, the Intel i7 2740 Ivy Bridge with 16GB RAM supporting a potential eight processing threads. It was narrowly won by HIARCS from JUNIOR and PANDIX with JONNY, SHREDDER and MERLIN taking the remaining places. Games, occasionally annotated, are available here.

We have optimised the atmospheric radiation algorithm of the FAMOUS climate model on several hardware platforms. The optimisation involved translating the Fortran code to C and restructuring the algorithm around the computation of a single air column. Instead of the existing MPI-based domain decomposition, we used a task queue and a thread pool to schedule the computation of individual columns on the available processors. Finally, four air columns are packed together in a single data structure and computed simultaneously using Single Instruction Multiple Data operations. The modified algorithm runs more than 50 times faster on the CELL’s Synergistic Processing Elements than on its main PowerPC processing element. On Intel-compatible processors, the new radiation code runs 4 times faster. On the tested graphics processor, using OpenCL, we find a speed-up of more than 2.5 times as compared to the original code on the main CPU. Because the radiation code takes more than 60% of the total CPU time, FAMOUS executes more than twice as fast. Our version of the algorithm returns bit-wise identical results, which demonstrates the robustness of our approach. We estimate that this project required around two and a half man-years of work.
