We instillate rational cognition and learning in seemingly riskless choices and judgments. Preferences and possibilities are given in a stochastic sense and based on revisable expectations. the theory predicts experimental preference reversals and passes a sharp econometric test of the status quo bias drawn from a field study.

In an abstract two-agent model, we show that every deterministic joint choice function compatible with the hypothesis that agents act noncooperatively is also compatible with the hypothesis that they act cooperatively. the converse is false.

This paper prepared for the Handbook of Statistics (Vol.14: Statistical Methods in Finance), surveys the subject of stochastic volatility. the following subjects are covered: volatility in financial markets (instantaneous volatility of asset returns, implied volatilities in option prices and related stylized facts), statistical modelling in discrete and continuous time and, finally, statistical inference (methods of moments, quasi-maximum likelihood, likelihood-based and bayesian methods and indirect inference).

Le cahier des charges français de la formation des maîtres a introduit en 2007 (BOEN n°1, 4 janvier 2007) un référentiel de compétences pour lensemble des métiers de lenseignement. Outre la définition de dix compétences, appuyée sur des listes de ressources (capacités, connaissances et attitudes), ce cahier des charges a introduit l’évaluation professionnelle par compétences, évaluation à laquelle participe lensemble des intervenants dans la formation initiale des professeurs-stagiaires. L’évaluation est opérée au vu de situations d’enseignement-apprentissage préparées, réalisées, analysées par les stagiaires. La réflexivité est par conséquent une disposition à construire chez les professeurs-stagiaires, grâce à des dispositifs de formation par alternance entre situations de formation et situations d’enseignement
