The interplay between Rashba, Dresselhaus, and Zeeman interactions in a quantum well submitted to an external magnetic field is studied by means of an accurate analytical solution of the Hamiltonian, including electron-electron interactions in a sum-rule approach. This solution allows us to discuss the influence of the spin-orbit coupling on some relevant quantities that have been measured in inelastic light scattering and electron-spin resonance experiments on quantum wells. In particular, we have evaluated the spin-orbit contribution to the spin splitting of the Landau levels and to the splitting of charge- and spin-density excitations. We also discuss how the spin-orbit effects change if the applied magnetic field is tilted with respect to the direction perpendicular to the quantum well.

A deformed-jellium model is used to calculate the fission barrier height of positive doubly charged sodium clusters within an extended Thomas-Fermi approximation. The fissioning cluster is continuously deformed from the parent configuration until it splits into two fragments. Although the shape of the fission barrier obviously depends on the parametrization of the fission path, we have found that remarkably, the maximum of the barrier corresponds to a configuration in which the emerging fragments are already formed and rather well apart. The implication of this finding in the calculation of critical numbers for fission is illustrated in the case of multiply charged Na clusters.

Bubble formation in solutions of 3He and 4He is studied within a density-functional approach. In particular, the temperature dependence of the cavitation pressure for different 3He concentrations is calculated at low temperatures and compared to that of pure 4He. The presence of Andreev states lowers the surface tension and, consequently, nucleation barriers are drastically reduced. This fact means that even at low 3He concentrations the cavitation process takes place at higher pressures than the spinodal pressure, which is not the case for pure 4He.

We have investigated the fragmentation of collective modes in doped 4He drops in the framework of a finite-range density-functional theory, as well as the delocalization of the impurity inside the cluster. Our results indicate that the impurity is gradually delocalized inside the drop as the size of the latter increases. As an example, results are shown in the case of Xe-4HeN systems up to N=112.

Depending on the 3He concentration, thermal nucleation in 3-4He supersaturated liquid mixtures at negative pressures may be originated either by bubble or by 3rich drop formation. We have investigated this phenomenon within a density-functional approach, determining the regions in the pressure¿3He-concentration plane where bubbles or drops likely drive the nucleation process. As an illustrative example, we also give the homogeneous nucleation pressure corresponding to 50 and 100 mK temperature.

Se presenta experiencia educativa que propone la eliminaci??n de los estereotipos sexistas desde las primeras etapas educativas. Se realiza en el CEIP Victoria en Loja, Granada. Los objetivos son: poner de manifiesto los estereotipos existentes a la hora de distribuir las cargas familiares tomando conciencia de la importancia de colaborar en las tareas y valorando el trabajo dom??stico; aprender a resolver los conflictos a trav??s del di??logo; conseguir el desarrollo integral del alumnado partiendo siempre de la existencia de igualdad entre hombres y mujeres; suprimir del lenguaje cotidiano del alumnado las expresiones e insultos de car??cter sexista, para que aprendan otras expresiones que demuestren respeto e igualdad; hacer uso de los juguetes que desarrollen actitudes de respeto a las diferencias, amistad, cooperaci??n, igualdad; afrontar un lenguaje coeducativo; saber valorar las distintas opciones y respetar a los que son diferentes evitando discriminaciones sexistas; construir la identidad sexual de cada persona evitando que lo femenino no quede subordinado a lo masculino; reflexionar sobre el alumnado sobre distintas situaciones y actitudes de violencia, y m??s concretamente contra las mujeres; aprender modos de comportamiento basados en la tolerancia, pac??ficos y de respeto mutuo entre hombres y mujeres.

Esta unidad did??ctica va dirigida a alumnos de segundo ciclo de Educaci??n Secundaria. Es de car??cter interdisciplinar aunque enmarcado dentro del ??rea de Ciencias Naturales y otras materias como F??sica y Qu??mica. El objetivo fundamental es trasmitir el problema del agua en la Comunidad de Murcia como problema global, tanto medioambiental como socioecon??mico. Por tanto interesa, como contenido de la unidad did??ctica, llegar a realizar propuestas de soluci??n y de formaci??n de actitudes positivas hacia la comprensi??n de los problemas ambientales. Esta unidad did??ctica est?? planificada para ser desarrollada durante diecisiete sesiones lectivas en clase y dos salidas para el estudio directo sobre el terreno y recogida de datos. Se incluye, como anexo, una selecci??n de art??culos publicados en prensa regional y nacional y una serie de propuestas para debate.
