The consumer before the infoxication in the press discourse

In the media current context, the user is exposed every day to an informative saturation without precedents. The variety of the media by means of that it receives information, together with the revolution to all the levels that has supposed the Internet integration, it does that the consumer is bombarded literally by multitude of messages. But this bombardment does not imply an informative quality, but it can suppose an imbalance between the number of information and the quality of the same ones, avoiding so the user know the reality with veracity and depth. This article analyzes exhaustively the phenomenon of this overexposure named infoxication, the true dangers that it encloses, the possible solutions and how it affects the user and the Journalism in the production of written and audiovisual products through different mass media.

“Comulgar con ruedas de molino”: el cierre del Fray Gerundio en 1840

Fundado en abril de 1837 por Modesto Lafuente, el Fray Gerundio fue el principal periódico satírico de su tiempo, así como uno de los más populares y vendidos. Su crítica permanente al poder le valió varias amonestaciones por parte de los distintos gobiernos, la última de las cuales acabó con su cierre en marzo de 1840 por desacato, una acusación que luego se comprobó contraria a la ley. El cierre lo hizo aún más popular y convirtió a Modesto Lafuente en una verdadera celebridad por su defensa de la libertad de imprenta.

Examen de orientación profesional

La orientación profesional como proceso educativo, ha sido objeto de estudio desde la psicología y la pedagogía contemporánea, consideraciones científicas que permiten desde una concepción predominantemente sistémica, determinar las etapas o fases por las que transita dicho proceso. El proceso de orientación profesional desde el punto de vista epistemológico se acuño primeramente como orientación vocacional, por F. Parson, 1908; y se fue tratando con diferentes corrientes psicológicas y pedagógicas que hicieron múltiples sus formas de manifestación y tratamiento.

Prevalence of colonizing bacteria and their association with primary bacteremias in hemodialysis of a university hospital

to be from 2.5 to 5.5 cases per 1,000 catheter-day. the clinical impact is relevant and increases the cost of the HD Unit. Methods: The present study is the irst of 2 phases. It was conducted from January to December of 2012, and included all patients and nurses who were in the HD Unit. The prevalence of Gramnegative bacilli (GNB) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MrSA) colonizing the nasal passages and the skin is described. Also, phenotypic association was sought by genus, species and sensitivities between colonizing bacterial strains and blood cultures with GNB and MRSA. Results: the study included 70 patients and 10 nurses. the prevalence of nasal colonization in patients by GNB was 9% and 6% in the pericatheter, and no nursing GNB colonization was discovered. The prevalence of MRSA nasal colonization was 19% and 6% in the pericatheter for patients and in the nurses the nasal colonization was 50% and 10% in the hands. We identiied 29 cases of primary bacteremia. The primary bacteremia rate is 1.5 per 1,000 catheter-day or 0.4 episodes per patient per year. Conclusion: We demonstrated a high prevalence of MrSA colonization in patients and nurses in the HD Unit. No relationship was found between primary bacteremia by GNB and patients and nurses’ bacteria colonization by the phenotypic comparison.
