Sobre O tronco, romance de Bernardo Élis

The conception of O tronco was influenced by Hegel´s ideas. The genesis of this novel is in Bernardo Élis’ purpose of writing a monograph on land ownership conflicts in Goiás, later transformed into a new project, the novel O tronco. The same ideological position of the author gives the argumentative direction of the novel; his ideological background determines the choice of the theme, associated with images expanded by the procedures of argumentation that permeate the literary discourse. Thus, in face of the undeniable aesthetic value of Élis´work, we analyzed O tronco, specifically the argumentation that guides the literary narrative, enhanced by the artistic treatment of violence, its theme, as the result of the struggle for power. The novel was published in 1956; the author, heir to the literary regionalism of the 30s, through an artistic and calculated combination of the story of a local government and literature, accuses, judges the exacerbated domination of a particular social group in a region in Goiás.

O uso do rádio e da TV por instituições religiosas: um fenômeno crescente nos mais variados canais de comunicação

In the present study aimed to study the use of radio and television in Brazil by the various Christian aspects rooted in the country. The main objective was to analyze how the churches define the orientation or the use of strategies of both comprehensive and traditional media vehicles, which are still the most popular mass media, both for the formation of culture and national public opinion in both states and municipalities, which demarcate and retain regional traits that differentiate culturally, economically and socially diverse Brazilian populations. Christian churches are increasingly seeking loopholes and legal facilities, public spaces and broadcast media to facilitate the achievement of followers of their theological ideologies. Religião e economia em Antonil

In our analysis of Antonil, author of Cultura e opulência do Brasil, we oppose to the historiography that analyses him as a writer who examines Brazilian society of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries, sometimes from a religious perspective, others from the economy perspective. Thus, the historiography sometimes explains him as an author who has a religious vision of society, others as an author who would have an economic view of it. In our viewpoint, both ways to consider him fail for being extreme. To comprehend him, it is necessary to understand him from the issues he has dealt with and how he dealt with them. Only then we can reconcile the religious and economic aspects of his worldview.

El simbolismo de las figuras circulares

Dado que las formas circulares se encuentran en innumerables representaciones simbólicas de la cultura material que ha dejado el ser humano a su paso, y se encuentran en diferentes tiempos, espacios y culturas, en este trabajo se aborda el tema del simbolismo de estas formas circulares y del círculo en particular, analizando cada una de sus partes constitutivas y lo que ellas simbolizan como manifestaciones y símbolos de una realidad trascendente. Moray, un yacimiento arqueológico ubicado en el Área Andina, construido según la forma de los círculos concéntricos, es el ejemplo tomado como construcción circular. Se abordan, además, temas afines que tienden a ampliar la exposición del tema central, como son el de los de espacios sagrados, los templos escalonados y la cosmovisión indígena americana.

De mitos e historia : Eva Perón

Desde su aparición, el peronismo ocupa un lugar protagónico en la(s) memoria(s) y la historia argentina, que, lejos de extinguirse, se revitaliza con el correr del tiempo. En esa tradición peronista, la figura de Evita representa un icono fundamental, respetado y recordado por los peronistas como por gran parte de sus opositores políticos. Esta etapa de la vida argentina se ha convertido, por años, en pieza de un enfrentamiento entre esas memorias, enfrentamiento que supera los campos histórico y sociológico. Atendiendo esta perspectiva, este trabajo procura analizar la figura de Eva como acontecimiento constitutivo de memoria(s) colectiva(s) y su presencia como parte de nuestra historia nacional, intentando vislumbrar discontinuidades y diferencias en la construcción de esas memorias como así también advertir el uso político que se hace del pasado para edificar una historia nacional.
