O pensamento antigo interpretava todas as manifestações danosas ou enfermidades pessoais e psíquicas como influência satânica. Considerando esse pano de fundo, a proposta deste trabalho é analisar o imaginário da comunidade marcana em relação ao demoníaco e como esse tipo de leitura impactava a vida das pessoas naquela conjuntura. Para tanto, buscaremos identificar na perícope de Mc 3,20-35 os mecanismos demoníacos daquela sociedade e como esse imaginário se refletia no cotidiano da comunidade. Além disso, verificaremos por que as práticas de Jesus envolvendo o exorcismo incomodavam, levando à sua identificação como demônio. Entendemos ser necessário avaliar a atividade taumatúrgica de Jesus e a representatividade que ela tinha em seu contexto, bem como o efeito social que produzia e a sua recepção pela comunidade marcana

Annotated record of the detailed examination of Mn deposits from DSDP Site 20, Leg 3 (Holes 3-20, 3-20A and 3-20C)

Prior to arrival on this site, the only survey data available was from the Vema-20 crossing of the area. The recommended site location was over a relatively smooth valley in the bottom topography at about 4750 meters (15,580 feet) depth (uncorrected), about 10 kilometers wide E-W between peaks (or ridges) on either side. Sediment thickness was unknown. The center of the valley is near the peak of a wide (40 to 50 kilometers) positive magnetic anomaly, identified as Magnetic Anomaly 30 in the hypothesized geomagnetic time scale with an age of 72 million years.

Synthesis And Antitumor Activity Of Novel 1-substituted Phenyl 3-(2-oxo-1,3,4-oxadiazol-5-yl) β-carbolines And Their Mannich Bases.

A series of novel 1-(substituted phenyl)-3-(2-oxo-1,3,4-oxadiazol-5-yl) β-carbolines (4a-e) and the corresponding Mannich bases 5-9(a-c) were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro antitumor activity against seven human cancer cell lines. Compounds of 4a-e series showed a broad spectrum of antitumor activity, with GI50 values lower than 15μM for five cell lines. The derivative 4b, having the N,N-dimethylaminophenyl group at C-1, displayed the highest activity with GI50 in the range of 0.67-3.20μM. A high selectivity and potent activity were observed for some Mannich bases, particularly towards resistant ovarian (NCI-ADR/RES) cell lines (5a, 5b, 6a, 6c and 9b), and ovarian (OVCAR-03) cell lines (5b, 6a, 6c, 9a, 9b and 9c). In addition, the interaction of compound 4b with DNA was investigated by using UV and fluorescence spectroscopic analysis. These studies indicated that 4b interact with ctDNA by intercalation binding.

20. Theorietag der GI-Fachgruppe "Automaten und Formale Sprachen''

Die Fachgruppe AFS (früher Fachgruppe 0.1.5) der Gesellschaft für Informatik veranstaltet seit 1991 einmal im Jahr ein Treffen der Fachgruppe im Rahmen eines Theorietags, der traditionell eineinhalb Tage dauert. Seit dem Jahr 1996 wird dem eigentlichen Theorietag noch ein eintägiger Workshop zu speziellen Themen der theoretischen Informatik vorangestellt. In diesem Jahr wurde der Theorietag vom Fachgebiet "Theoretische Informatik" des Fachbereichs Elektrotechnik/Informatik der Universität Kassel organisiert. Er fand vom 29.9. bis 1.10.2010 in Baunatal bei Kassel statt. Dabei stand der begleitende Workshop unter dem allgemeinen Thema "Ausgewählte Themen der Theoretischen Informatik". Als Vortragende für diesen Workshop konnten Carsten Damm (Göttingen), Markus Holzer (Giessen), Peter Leupold (Kassel), Martin Plátek (Prag) und Heribert Vollmer (Hannover) gewonnen werden. Das Programm des eigentlichen Theorietags bestand aus 20 Vorträgen sowie der Sitzung der Fachgruppe AFS. In diesem Band finden sich die Zusammenfassungen aller Vorträge sowohl des Workshops als auch des Theorietags. Desweiteren enthält er das Programm und die Liste aller Teilnehmer.

Increase of Cholesterol Oxidation and Decrease of PUFA as a Result of Thermal Processing and Storage in Eggs Enriched with n-3 Fatty Acids

In this work, cholesterol oxide formation and alteration of fatty acid composition were analyzed in n-3 enriched eggs under different storage periods and two temperatures. The eggs enriched with n-3 fatty acids were stored at 5 or 25 degrees C for 45 days and subsequently boiled or fried. For each treatment, 12 yolks were analyzed every 15 days including time zero. The concentrations of the cholesterol oxides 7-ketocholesterol, 7 beta-hydroxycholesterol, and 7 alpha-hydroxycholesterol increased during the storage period and were higher in fried eggs. Only the 7-ketocholesterol was affected by the storage temperature, and its concentration was highest in eggs stored at 25 degrees C. There was no significant difference in the contents of cholesterol and vitamin E at the different storage periods; however, the concentration of vitamin E decreased with thermal treatment. In addition, the n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially 18:3, 20:5, and 22:6, were reduced throughout the storage at 5 and 25 degrees C.
