The Bauhaus began its activities in 1919, in Weimar - Germany, under the direction of architect Walter Gropius, as an association of craftsmen without distinction. For his inclusive approach, its professors were many artists, architects and craftsmen from different ideals. Thus were brought together painters, sculptors, decorators, architects and other professionals from many different locations. With their existence tied to political events of the interwar period, this school has several limitations and had to move its headquarters several times. The aim of this paper is to report briefly the main events in the short existence of this school forerunner of contemporary design.

With new technologies, there are fields of unprecedented artistic legitimation and consecration. On the Internet, MySpace is used as a social network whose peculiarity lies in the interactivity of between artists (established and independent) users and non-artists. The website has revealed new names in the music scene from the popularity they gained by its peers. To see how the communication happens within that environment, was chosen the band profile Restart, whose audience is the majority of MySpace teen (youth 12 to 17 years). The analysis of this article is part of a broader research and the results already obtained allow us to see, within the limits of the selected area, that the Internet not only introduces a new field of action, but new instances of artistic consecration.

Art can be understood as a process in which knowledge is used to perform certain skills. From Latin ARS, technical means and / or ability, in Greece, there was the word art, but "Tekne", which originated from the word "technical." So art and technique are present in sculptures, paintings, shoes or ships. In this sense, designers, engineers and all professionals who use technology can be called artists. Considerations must be made regarding the level of energy embedded in the material from its production until its use, even considering recycling, sustainability and life cycle of materials. This study aimed to present the use of scanning technology and 3D virtual modeling and its application in prototyping with CNC (Computed Numerical Control) as a tool in current use cutting-edge courses in arts, design and engineering and their relations with sustainability.

After crossing several generations and countries, broader functions are being incorporated to origami than simply making art objects: the fold initiates a series of new buildings within the design and creation. Under the new repre- sentations and performances that the art of paper folding keeps, this article aims to investigate how the origami is configured nowadays and how it behaves while contemporary language applied to projective processes of diverse natures. To better understand the actual origami, relations are used inside branch of math, conceptual and projectual. Relating theorists, artists, designers, etc., can point out the relevance of each of these areas in the configuration of cientific and projectual origami. The modularity, the collective, the conscious build, the contemporary and the inno- vation are relationships intrinsic to the praxis projectual that shape a landscape adjacent and subordinate to the main structure governing. It bets on the essence of origami as a tangible functionality for creative thinking.

Modernism was a movement that began in the 1920s through the critical activities of Oswald de Andrade, Menotti del Picchia, Mário de Andrade and others who warned of the valuation of national roots. Thus exposed their ideas renewing groups of artists who begin to unite around a new aesthetic proposal. Modern architecture in Brazil had its origins in European avant-garde in the early twentieth century as well, represented by architect Antonio Moya. In 1923 arrives in São Paulo Warchavchik the architect, who always insisted on the same character "modern" time and "Brazil" in its architecture. Years following: architects claim in full, influencing young architects. This research aims to analyze the projects executed by some architects that have reshaped or rewrote the architecture in Brazil with modernism and artistic / visual interference with paneled walls and details entered in these buildings.

This paper conducts an analysis of the cover of the first issue of Trace magazine, conceived and edited by a group of graphic artists from Bauru (SP) published in November 1987 from the study proposed by Donald Norman (2008) especially through the visceral, behavioral and reflective approaches. This is a critical exercise, based on the study, of the use and application of the theory of Norman, which focuses on the development and focusing the scope of graphic design.
