Due to new technologies in civil engineering and the competition of the market, the demand for computer programs for the elaboration of structural projects of reinforced concrete is raising in a quick and efficient manner. This paper presents a study based on Eberick, a structural calculation software, and this software was applied to a low cost residence project. By performing structural calculation manually, it is possible to compare and analyze the criteria that Eberick uses for the design and detailing of structural elements like columns, beams and slabs. As the software functionality becomes clear, the engineer will use it careful and safely, exploring all of its resources and advantages

Expectativas de participantes, professores de educação física e assistentes sociais de um projeto social esportivo de pólo aquático

Currently there are numerous social projects scattered through out the country, including the sport, for the most part, aimed at children and teens considered at social vulnerability. These projects end up having as main guiding sports, these in turn take several purposes, among them, the sport recreation/socialization and professionalization of sport, which often end up being worked disassociated from one of another, forgetting that, in the same place, these different purposes can live therefore are the subjects that give meaning to their practice. In this sense, this research sought to understand the meanings that the participants in a social sports project water polo attribute to the practice. This project happens in a provincial city of São Paulo, serving about 2.300 children and teens and has as main objectives the social inclusion and training of high-performance athlete. The research, qualitative approach was characterized by an exploratory study and used the interview as collection technique. The study included 40 children and adolescents attending the project, as well as two social workers and two physical education teachers that working on the project. The results showed that there is a convergence between participants, teachers and social workers regarding their expectations regarding the project, but we identified another bias that goes against the practice of leisure, in showing that in the same place if can find to the two purposes of the sport, even this

This paper discusses the influence of the design parameters in the operation and construction of an internal combustion engine. A theoretical analysis was developed using a standard crank-connecting rod-piston to verify the behavior of the stresses generated in the combustion and transformed into rotational energy of the crank shaft. Design parameters directly influence not only the final result of the characteristics of power and torque, but how the engine must be built to withstand different loads. This study describes the preliminary design of a static skip compactor and its hydraulic system. The objective of this study is to develop and to improve the design of a made project. The methodology used in this study was to analyze the faults of the already done projects and to suggest possible improvements. In this graduation study, it will be exposed in form of case study the DMAIC project (Define Measure Analyze Improve Control) execution, using of Six Sigma's tools, statistical and quality knowledge, with intent of analyze, improve and control the processes of a selected problem, always demonstrating good practice of methodologies. In an auto parts multinational branch, It was identified a high scrap rate in one of his production lines. This work will study this problem to improve their processes and ensure that these improvements are perpetual. Projeto mecânico de um modelo para túnel de vento e validação de seus componentes à partir de simulações em software de elementos finitos

The objective of this study was to develop a model that allows testing in the wind tunnel at high angles of attack and validates its most critical components by analyzing the results of simulations in finite element software. During the project this structure suffered major loads identified during the flight conditions and, from these, we calculated the stresses in critical regions defined as the parts of the model that have higher failure probabilities. All aspects associated with Load methods, mesh refining and stress analysis were taken into account in this approach. The selection of the analysis software was based on project needs, seeking greater ease of modeling and simulation. We opted for the software ANSYS® since the entire project is being developed in CAD platforms enabling a friendly integration between software's modeling and analysis

This work aims to present the design and development of a speed reducer worm gear that will be implemented on an inclined treadmill that aims to raise the load below the top floor. The project start was made with research on issues related to mechanisms and machine elements, and these theories of fundamental importance in the development of device components, along with the help of SolidWorks software that was used to model the main parts of the project and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 was used to alight formulas to perform calculations of the project. A construção do projeto político-pedagógico das escolas do campo do município de Araraquara

This study aimed to analyze the process of developing and implementing a politicalpedagogical project for rural schools in the city of Araraquara, focusing on one of the schools served. This is an ethnographic qualitative study. The instruments of data collection were participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis. It was observed are a change in the community organization throughout the process, with regard to a more active attitude on the part of its members, who have pursued other means to claim the fulfillment of their demands by the Government and relevant institutions, which points to the pedagogical character of participation in the movement to fight for the education they desire. It was also noticed a process of re-signification by the subjects, of their own community identity while seated in an agrarian reform project, as well as a more effective participation of those in everyday life and school organization. It was also observed changes in indicators of school, with an increase in the achievement of students as well as reducing the dropout rate to zero, and the reduction of absenteeism of teachers.

Educação a distância: um estudo analítico das políticas governamentais com foco no projeto da Universidade Aberta do Brasil

The present study at the doctoral level, is in the initial phase of the Program Graduate School of Education UNESP, SP-Araraquara campus. That makes an analysis of government policies in distance education system through the Open University of Brazil (UAB). We present in this moment, the historical background of the creation and expansion of the system of the Open University of Brazil with emphasis on policies of expansion of higher education and also the degree in pedagogy courses offered by the partner universities of the University System in Brazil Open southeast. Among the main objectives of the study is to compare the Brazilian government policies of expansion of higher education with the management and characteristics of undergraduate courses in pedagogy. Partial results indicate a total 51 universities that offer degree courses in pedagogy at UAB system in Brazil, including 12 institutions in the Southeast.
