Diseño de un modelo de planificación de zonas de actividades logísticas mediante el empleo de redes bayesianas.

La dificultad para el establecimiento de pautas de dimensionamiento de Plataformas Logísticas y, en especial, de las Zonas de Actividades Logísticas (ZAL), recae en la heterogeneidad del desarrollo de este tipo de nodos de transporte a nivel internacional. Bajo la denominación genérica de Plataformas Logísticas han surgido multitud de iniciativas en la escena internacional, que, respondiendo a diferentes motivos de implantación de un nodo de intercambio modal, ha producido la aparición de diferentes tipos de Plataformas con diversos objetivos que implican unidades funcionales específicas, con necesidades de localización, instalación y superficie necesaria deferentes. Este sector logístico tan importante, se encuentra sin metodologías, herramientas o programas que permitan establecer los parámetros de planificación y explotación óptimos para las diferentes zonas de actividades logísticas, si bien se han desarrollado tecnologías de trazabilidad de la carga y elementos basadas en la planificación logística, con el objetivo de determinar los parámetros óptimos de explotación y planificación portuaria, a través de la clasificación de las zonas de actividades logísticas, añadiendo la inferencia de escenarios virtuales. Como resultado principal se destaca que, mediante el empleo de herramientas de inteligencia artificial, modelos gráficos probabilísticos: Redes Bayesianas (BN), se han definido las principales variables de planificación de las zonas de actividades logísticas y se puede planificar con BN una ZAL seleccionando las variables conocidas y obteniendo las variables a predecir.

Gini coefficient, dissimilarity index and Lorenz curve for the spanish port system by type of goods

This paper shows the Gini Coefficient, the dissimilarity Index and the Lorenz Curve for the Spanish Port System by type of goods from 1960 to the year 2010 for business units: Total traffic, Liquid bulk cargo, Solid bulk cargo, General Merchandise and Container (TEUs) with the aim of carcaterizar the Spanish port systems in these periods and propose future strategies.

Neighbourhood mobility: a longgone Paradigm? Approaching "proximity" and "land use mix" using data from home-based surveys

Policies trying to increase walking within urban mobility modal split usually highlight the importance of the functional patterns and the environmental quality of the urban space as major drivers of citizens modal choices. Functional characteristics would be mainly associated to an appropriate mix of land uses within neighbourhoods, whereas environmental quality would be associated to the characteristics of urban spaces. The purpose of this research is threefold: first, to identify relevant proxy indicators, which could characterize pedestrian-friendly land use mix and environmental quality. Second, to assess, for both traits, existing disparities among neighbourhoods in a major metropolitan area. And finally, to explore the association between both indicators and children mobility patterns: according to their built environment, which neighbourhoods have a greater proportion of children and, how is their mobility? Using data from the 2004 household mobility survey in the 128 neighbourhoods of the municipality of Madrid, this paper concludes that potentially favourable conditions at the neighbourhood level seem to have only a modest influence in,mobility patterns , in terms of both, selection of closer destinations and a higher share of walking within modal split. The city s policy choices, with intensive investment in road and public transport infrastructure may explain why short-distance mobility is not as important as it could have been expected in those neighbourhoods with more pedestrian-friendly conditions. The metropolitan transport system is providing mobility conditions, which make far-away destinations attractive to most citizens.

Algoritmos de búsqueda de posiciones óptimas en localizaciones circulares. Aplicación a la competición política

Desarrollo de teoría y algoritmos para la búsqueda de posiciones óptimas en un espacio circular. En este trabajo se desarrolla una aplicación de los datos direccionales a la ciencia política. Se presenta un modelo en el que las preferencias políticas de los tipos de votantes de una población se representan como puntos de la circunferencia unidad y los partidos políticos buscan las posiciones óptimas en ella para captar el máximo apoyo de ese conjunto finito de tipos de votantes. Se desarrollan algoritmos de búsqueda basados en los estudios realizados y se implementa uno de ellos, realizándose simulaciones de ejemplos relacionados con el posicionamiento político e interpretándose los resultados.
