This paper presents the main achievements in the field of children and youngsters social rights and provides some data on Brazilian education that show the discrepancy between the legal guidelines and the educational situation of children and youngsters within public schools. It presents a critical approach to the ways production and attendance of school problems have been interpreted and shows the dimension in which social facilities established to provide protection to children and adolescents have not been able to ensure a good quality schooling. It highlights the Guardian Council as addressee of school demands and stands out the urgency of debating the violation of fundamental rights such as the lack of quality in education, the repeated situations of failure, and dropping out experienced by a significant number of poor students. The analyzes developed point to the fragility of the relationship between school and Guardian Council revealing an institutional dynamic that individualize social issues. The analyzes developed also suggest the possibility of including Psychology mediation to school, family and Guardian Council. These aim to break the hegemony of the gaze individualizing approach that blame individual and / or family for school failures. This all present to professionals the urgenct for a critical attitude, based on theoretical and practical approaches able to research and propose critical interventions in order to overcome the production of educational exclusion.

Institucionalização precoce e o controle subjetivo na infância: cartografia de uma problemática contemporânea

This research was done by a theoretical investigation about the moment when a child starts to go to education places like a school before the obligatory age of usual education, here called Precocious Institutionalization, and the changings that it results at the productions of subjectivity, at the relationship between children and family, specially the maternity in the society. Using theory references of Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari, was done the analysis with the help of cartography. Atualmente, qualquer sinal de mal-estar pode ser diagnosticado como uma patologia cuja terapêutica será a administração de psicofármacos. A prescrição abusiva de psicofármacos não atinge apenas os adultos, mas também o mal-estar das crianças tem encontrado uma resposta pronta naquele saber autoritário que não resiste à compulsão de medicar. Preocupado com esse processo de medicalização, este trabalho apresenta, através de um estudo de caso de uma criança longamente submetida a uma medicação questionável, uma reflexão crítica sobre a condução de terapêuticas que tendem a produzir pacientes medicados em série, sem abordar a constituição subjetiva do sujeito.

Educação em saúde para atenção à gestante: paralelo de experiências entre Brasil e Portugal

Care practices have raised some questions concerning the attention given to women, specifically when it comes to issues of extreme importance in Public Health's approach of pre-natal care. The present study intends to discuss the scope and challenges of the integral care in maternal health, taking into consideration the experiences of one of the authors in the health scenarios from both Brazil and Portugal. A comparative analysis was conducted on the format of the pre-natal classes offered to groups of pregnant women, a frequent practice of Primary Care in both countries. The method of participant observation of two groups of pregnant women, one in each country was used. The organization of each group is presented and evaluated regarding its methodological and practical settings. The analysis of the experiences indicates that both groups can be considered as informative or educative, since the chosen methodology and structure was formed by lectures with predefined themes; there was reduced reflection and empowerment possibilities, due to the fragmented presentation form, and this could also mean diminished reflection on the changes of the feminine role. It is thus concluded that the need for offering care for women in different periods of their lives should include a continuous fight for an amplified and integral approach, with emphasis in the care network and in health promotion.

Infância: sapequice e poesia. -

Nosso estudo tem como objetivo fazer uma cartografia da infância na poesia de Manoel de Barros. Em nossa análise aproximamos a literatura da infância para identificarmos as marcas constitutivas do modo sapeca de ser criança. Assumimos a sapequice da criança como o eixo de articulação temática entre a poesia e a infância. Construímos o corpus de nosso estudo no rastreamento da obra poética de Manoel de Barros. Assumimos a literatura como modo de vida para compreendermos como o poeta produz em suas relações com a linguagem os recursos de ruptura frente a uma dinâmica de poder responsável pela interdição da criação. Estudamos as relações entre a poesia e a infância, com o foco colocado sobre as formas de criação da sapequice apoiados nas análises sobre a dimensão política da literatura. Ao rastrearmos as marcas dos elementos disruptivos expressos em um modo sapeca de expressão por parte da poesia consideramos o inconsciente e a ideologia no texto literário como elementos constitutivos da matéria da linguagem

A violência familiar sofrida na infância: uma investigação na adolescência

This study aims to highlight the prevalence of situations of domestic violence experienced by adolescents during their childhood. It is cross-sectional study with 372 adolescents enrolled in a vocational training institution, Araçatuba-SP, utilizing the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), translated and validated. Gender and social class were also investigated. According to the results, 180 adolescents were female and 192 were male. The predominant social class was B2 (39.2%). Seventy two percent of teens reported having experienced at least some form of violence during childhood. Mild (28.7%) and moderate (9.2%) emotional abuse were the most prevalently associated, as well as between: physical and emotional violence, physical and sexual, physical and emotional neglect, sexual and emotional abuse, emotional neglect and emotional. Regarding social class, no associations were found. In conclusion, most teens suffered abuse in childhood, with a prevalence of emotional violence.
