Los límites de la intervención estatal ante la crisis del capitalismo global

Este trabajo analiza, desde la perspectiva de la teoría crítica de Marx las determinantes estructurales de la intervención estatal en las sociedades capitalistas modernas, en el contexto de la actual crisis financiera. Lejos de las concepciones funcionalistas y ahistóricas de lo estatal y de la intervención pública, presentes en las ciencias sociales convencionales, aquí se defi ne al Estado como una relación social o, más concretamente, como una forma específica de existencia del capital en tanto que relación social. En seguida se analizan los alcances y límites de la intervención estatal, así como sus nuevas tendencias y manifestaciones en el contexto de la actual crisis del capitalismo global.

Entre a teoria social e a teoria da justiça : intersubjetividade, normatividade e vulnerabilidade

Este artigo pretende apresentar os motivos por trás de algumas propostas intersubjetivistas na teoria social e na teoria da justiça. Primeiramente, tentarei desenvolver alguns temas da filosofia de Hegel no sentido de formular a tese de que se estabelece aí uma relação fundamental entre teoria social e teoria da justiça (1). Em seguida, pretendo especificar o conteúdo desta relação num argumento duplo: mostrando (a) que ela consiste, do ponto de vista da teoria social, em uma dialética entre socialização e individualização; e (b) que esta dialética se vincula ao problema da normatividade, tornando-se relevante para a teoria da justiça (2). Em terceiro lugar, desejo mostrar que a ética do discurso projetou uma ampliação filosófico-jurídica não apenas para estabilizar a tensão entre validade e facticidade, mas que também, não sendo apenas especializada em questões de justiça, assume a tarefa de pensar a vulnerabilidade daquela dialética (3). Finalmente, procuro mostrar como uma teoria da justiça fundada no conceito intersubjetivo de liberdade é capaz de preencher mais adequadamente esta lacuna, criando condições para uma crítica terapêutica da modernidade (4). ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

Sistemas complejos, miradas simplistas: una lectura crítica de la mesa de planificación Bogotá, Cundinamarca

“…el documento que se presenta a continuación recoge tanto una revisión analítica de algunas teorías del desarrollo desde la complejidad, como una aplicación de las mismas a un caso concreto de construcción de entidades regionales de carácter complejo, tales como las ciudades región. En la primera y la segunda parte, se hace una introducción y un acercamiento teórico a los enfoques del desarrollo y a la teoría de la complejidad, con el fin de establecer una definición más completa y estructurada de la categoría desarrollo. En la tercera parte, se establece el grado de avance de la región Bogotá – Cundinamarca a la luz de los postulados del desarrollo, constatando su estado desde los principales indicadores del bienestar. FAVELA DA VERGUEIRO E MODERNIZAÇÃO À BRASILEIRA: APONTAMENTOS SOBRE INDUSTRIALIZAÇÃO E TRABALHO NA FORMAÇÃO DO CAPITALISMO NO BRASIL

A presente pesquisa trata da favela da Vergueiro, em São Paulo. Surgida nos anos 1950, foidespejada na década de 1970, representando um momento em que o fenômeno das favelas ainda não assumira grandes proporções na cidade. Sua análise se integra num estudo mais amplo sobre a modernização brasileira. Retomam-se debates sobre a indústrialização e o desenvolvimento do capitalismo brasileiro, que frequentemente situaram as favelas enquanto marginalidade ou atraso; inversamente, pressupõe-se que o desenvolvimento do capital amplia tais fenômenos. Recoloca-se a noção centro-periferia enquanto oposição necessária. Faz-se leituras de "O Capital" de Marx considerando a determinação da socialização mediada por abstrações, assumindo potencia explicativa a teoria do valor, o fetiche e a crise enquanto imanência do processo reprodutivo do capital. Coloca-se a discussão sobre o trabalho produtivo x improdutivo e a autonomização da reprodução do capital e capital fictício, verificando a importância das condições de trabalho para o surgimento e formação de favelas. Até o momento, verificou-se que a população daquela favela empregava-se na construção civil e serviços domésticos, tendo sido posteriormente deslocada para os extremos da metrópole (para outras favelas e loteamentos periféricos). Este trabalho é um mestrado em andamento.

Filtros de areia aplicados à irrigação localizada: teoria e prática

The application of sand filters in localized irrigation systems is recommended in the presence of organic and algae contamination. The proper design and maintenance of these equipments are essential to assure an effective water quality control, in order to reduce the emitters clogging, to keep its water application uniformity, and to prevent increasing in the system operation costs. Despite the existence of some references about design, operation and maintenance of these filters, they are dispersed, with not enough details to guarantee the optimization of its hydraulics structure design and the proper selection of porous media to be used. Therefore, the objective of this work was to report a current literature review, relating practical information with scientific knowledge. The content of this review would help to induce and intensify the research on this subject and to contribute so the operational functions for the equipment are reached. It is also expected to assist the improvement of the filtration and flushing processes in the agricultural irrigation and the development of original design procedures and the rational use of these devices.

Administração limpa e enxuta em sistemas hidráulicos de colhedoras de cana-de-açúcar

Among the important changes in the production processes, it is necessary to guarantee the sustainability of the human enterprises, what makes us to foresee changes in the managerial administration to adapt to a new model, with the insert of the concepts of Clean Production, Cleaner, Lean and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The main focus of this work was to elaborate a methodology that made it possible to guarantee the reliability in the waterworks of the sugarcane harvester, identifying and analyzing the manners of flaws, in order to result in the improvement of the environmental and socioeconomic quality in the atmosphere of an industry of sugarcane through the significant decrease of hydraulic oil spill. Through the existent report in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), used in a Sugarcane Industry Plant, it was possible to accompany of the operational acting of the sugarcane harvester used during 03 crops, regarding the manners of flaws in the waterworks of the same ones, and, in one of the crops it was elaborated the total control of the waterworks of 5 harvesters. Based on the obtained data and the developed methodology it was possible to develop a software that specifies the electric outlet of decisions.

TEORIA SINTÁTICA: DE UMA PERSPECTIVA DE -ISMOS PARA UMAPERSPECTIVA DE PROGRAMAS

This paper tries to show that the developments in linguistic sciences are better viewed as stages in a single research program, rather than different ideological -isms. The first part contains an overview of the structuralistas' beliefs about the universality and equivalence of human languages, and their search for syntactic universals. In the second part, we will see that the generative program, in its turn, tries to answer why language is a universal faculty in the human species and addresses questions about its form, its development and its use. In the second part, we will see that the paper gives a brief glimpse of the tentative answers the program has been giving to each of these issues.

A teoria e a prática: a questão da diferençano discurso sobre e da sala de aula

The main purpose of this paper is to question the relationship between theory and practice or basic and applied research in the domain of Applied Linguistics and classroom discourse. In order to achieve our aim, some theoretical texts, some recorded and transcribed classes as well as some teachers and students opinions about reading and writing were analysed. Results have shown that 1) practice is not the direct application of theoretical data: the relationship between them is not as simple as some applied linguists seem to believe because of the action of the unconscious in the constitution of subjectivity; 2) the conceptualization of the theoretical issues takes place in a confused and disorderly manner mixed up with personal experiences and previous knowledge (practice). We intend to question the fact that practice comes as secondary to theory.

A IDEOLOGIA DO SUPRIMIDO: OU, COMO NÃO TEORIZAR A RESPEITO DA IDEOLOGIA

In this paper, I argue against the contemporary tendency to confine ideology to the sphere of subjectivity and point of view, as defended by Paul Simpson (1993) in his book Language, Ideology, and Point of View. My principal criticism against the view is that it simply amounts to a re-affirmation of certain of the conceptual categories with which we have for long been accustomed to think. Rather, I contend, we ought to try to interrogate those very categories with a view to teasing out the instabilities that characterise them. I argue that there is an urgent need to deconstruct the very opposition between ideology, point of view etc. on the one hand, and science, theory, or whatever that one might wish to posit on the other.

Uma observação sobre o lugar da teoria da ligação e do critério temático dentro do programa minimalista

In this paper I present some evidencie that forces us to conclude that within the Minimalist Program (Chomsky 1993; 1995), Binding Theory (BT) should be computed after LF (Logical Form). I show that derivations leading to structures containing violations of BT-Principles must converge at LF, since less economical alternative derivations respecting those principles are also ungrammatical. Being irrelevant to the notion of convergence, BT must apply after LF. A similar reasoning reveals that the Theta-Criterion should have the status of a bare output condition appling at LF, since less economical derivations are allowed by the computational system to prevent violations of it.

Syllable-timing in Brazilian Portuguese: uma crítica a Roy Major

This paper reintroduces the discussion about stress-timing in Brazilian Portuguese (BP). It begins by surveying some phonetic and phonological issues raised by the syllable- vs stress-timed dichotomy which culminated with the emergence of the p-center notion. Strict considerations of timing of V-V units and stress groups are taken into account to analyze the long term coupling of two basic oscillators (vowel and stress flow). This coupling allows a two-parameter characterization of language rhythms (coupling strength and speech rate) revealing that BP utterances present a high-degree of syllable-timing. A comparison with other languages, including European Portuguese, is also presented. The results analyzed indicate that Major's arguments for considering Portuguese (sic) as stress-timing are misleading.
