Morfologia urbana na animação

The production and concept of the animation process adds not only technical aspects to it, but also the huge amount of detail and study of every single reference used to create that said animation. From costumes and fashion to urban morphology, those researches are needed for the creation of a final product that has a truth feeling to it, making the viewer feel like part of it and receive not only a literal aspect, but a conceptual feel from the project. Photos, maps, technical studies and much more are tools of trade when dealing with the animation process. The animators have to give attention to every single detail in order to make the production feel alive for the viewers, making the animations flow in a charming way. To analyse the inverse way of the animation process – from the final product to the sketch studies of the base reality from which it was based at- is a good way to comprehend the research line of the animators, and that’s the main focus of this project

A antropogeomorfologia na bacia do Córrego do Cavalheiro - Analândia/SP: uma avaliação da dinâmica do uso da terra e sua adequabilidade a legislação ambiental e a capacidade de uso

The assessment of land use dynamic can be an instrument for analysis in anthropogeomorphology, which would allow one to verify the human geomorphological actions and its various implications in changing the original morphology for the creation of a human morphology. This study aimed to consider the land use dynamics and its interference in the morphology of Cavalheiro Stream Basin. From this assessment, to understand the implications of land use in the creation of a human morphology, as well as to analyze if the current use is in accordance with the legal restrictions placed by ongoing environmental legislation and with the ability to land use. The chosen of this studied area was due to assumptions raised by Pinton (2007) for changes in the dynamic of rainwater erosion of this area caused by human actions, specially the cultivation of sugar cane in morphologies that are unfit for it. The search took as methodological support the principles that concern the General Systems Theory, trying to see the watershed as an open system. The geomorphological data, of land use and of legal restrictions to the use and occupation of land, were collected from different cartographic techniques. Besides, it was developed a sketch map of land use capacity by adapting the technique proposed by Lepsch (1983). This way, the data obtained in this survey are considered capable to provide subsidies for the identification of changes in original morphology of the Cavalheiro Stream Basin and the genesis of a human morphology, as well as conflicts and adjustments of current land use in environmental system and on the legal restrictions outlined in the ongoing environmental legislation, contributing to a proper environmental planning with the characteristics of the physical environmental system of this basin

Mapeamento geológico-geontécnico de trecho da estrada vicinal na Serra de Itaqueri, Charqueada (SP)

Geological-geotechnical problems affecting escarps as well as embankment and fill slopes of roads and motorways may generate different types of unsteadiness, which are mainly arisen from the deficient knowledge about the physical environment. This results in unsuitable engineering projects and inadequate executions, which can be worsened by an occasional inappropriate maintenance of the construction. A geologically-geotechnically characterization of escarps and slopes is crucial in order to prevent these problems. This work deals with a geological-geotechnical study of 1:10.000 scale mapping in a stretch of a local road (CHQ-40) at the Serra de Itaqueri, Charqueada town, State of São Paulo. The stretch is known by several physical problems as erosion and mass movement. The methods of study were based on an integrative analysis of the diverse elements of the physical environment by using aerial photographs - to obtain the physiographic compartmentalization of terrain units - as well as field work - to accomplish the evaluation of the units by employing sketch lists. To achieve this, we selected several techniques in order to identify and classify different types of existing problems as erosion, landslide in embankments and fill slopes, rockfall, block rolling, among others. We also included the analysis of soil horizon, thickness and composition. The geological-geotechnical mapping resulted in six units: 1- Sandstones in cuesta’s backhill; 2 – Basalts in cuesta’s front; 3- Sandstones in cuesta’s front; 4 – Talus and colluvial deposits at cuesta’s foothill; 5- Sandstones of the Piramboia Formation in hillside; and 6 – Colluvial soil in the hill top. A characterization of the geological-geotechnical units is detailed, coupled to the cartographic material. Controle de qualidade e levantamento radiométrico em aparelho de Raios-X médico convencional

Along with the advance of technology, in terms of the expansion of medical exams that uses the ionizing radiation for diagnosis, there is also the concern about quality control for maintaining quality in radiographic imaging and for delivering low dose to the patient. Based on the Federal Order 453 of the Secretariat of Health Surveillance, which takes account of the practical and justification of individual medical exposures, the optimization of radiological protection, limitation of individual dose, and the prevention of accidents, were done through this paper radiodiagnostic tests on medical equipment in order to accept it or not, according to SVS-453. Along with the help and support of P&R Consulting and Medical Physics Marilia, SP, were made Quality Control and Radiometric Control in equipment from various cities across the state of São Paulo. The equipment discussed in this work is classified as conventional X-ray. According to the Federal Order SVS-453, the quality control in the program of quality assurance should include the following minimum set of constancy tests, with following minimum frequency: biennial tests for representative values of dose given to the patients of radiography and CT performed in the service; annual tests for accuracy of the indicator tube voltage (kVp), accuracy of exposure time, half-value layer, aligning the central axis of the beam of x-ray tube, performance (mGy / mA.min.m²), linearity of the rate of kerma on air with the mAs, reproducibility of the kerma on air rates, reproducibility of the automatic exposure, focal spot size, integrity of accessories and clothing for individual protection; semiannually for collimation system accuracy; weekly for temperature processing system and sensitometry processing system. A contribuição de Lima Barreto para o entendimento da crítica educacional brasileira do início do século XX

This study aims at enhancing the understanding of the educational criticism in the beginning of the twentieth century, focusing on the ideas of Lima Barreto. Before the emergence of the "educational professionals", educational thought was developed by publicists and writers involved in a fertile debate, the results of which became visible in literary and journalistic production. Through the analysis of articles, short texts published in the press, novels and short stories written by Lima Barreto, it’s possible to gather a specific concept of education, underlying his criticism and fictional characterization of school education, as well as an interesting sketch of the cultural profile of Brazilian society at the time. Either explicitly or implicitly, in their evaluative and theoretical references, the limits of the critical readings of the author, which are expressed in the contradiction between negation of the given conditions and their affirmation, unveil the historical aspects of social and educational thinking and criticism.

Confidências: os ensaios críticos de Kate Chopin

Between 1894 and 1899 Kate Chopin (1850 – 1904), one of the main exponents of American Realism and Feminism, published seven critical essays in newspapers and journals. To this number, it might be added the sketch ―Confidences‖ and the two first entrances of Impressions, her second diary, totalizing nine texts. These texts unveil a refined critical spirit, an outspoken and edge-cutting style in writing, sometimes sarcastically merciless, and an eager reader, all of them aspects that would be put into practice by the Feminist criticism expressed in the author‘s novels and short stories. To introduce and briefly discuss these essays are the main purposes of this paper.

With the advent of the industrial revolution, the sickening resulted from labor and work raised significantly, and Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMD) emerged as one of the main aggravation to the worker’s health. The present article has as its objectives, through a bibliographical revision about this theme, to sketch the contemporary world of work and labor, bringing to surface the principle aspects that constitute and hide the reality of its labor context in which the workers are inserted and then, to do an analysis about the importance of the psychosocial factors in the genesis of the WRMD symptoms.

Considerações sobre o uso da linguagem na sala de aula de Matemática

The main goal of this work is to build a sketch on how language is used in mathematics classrooms. We specifically try to understand how teachers use language in order to share meanings with their students. We initially present our main intentions, summarizing some studies that are close to our purposes. The two theoretical frameworks which support our study – the Model of Semantic Fields and the Wittgensteinian “games of language” – are then presented and discussed about their similarities and distinctions. Our empirical data are some classroom activities recorded and turned into “clips”. Such clips were transcribed and our analysis was based on these transcriptions. Data analysis – developed according to our theoretical framework – allowed us to build the so-called “events” and, then, comment on some understandings on how language can be used in mathematics classrooms.

O design no contexto histórico da arte: uma visão da arte e do design a partir do ornamento

Drawing an equivalence analogy between the subjects of style and the ornamentation, the study leans on Aloïs Riegl's theory in order to sketch an anthropological reflection for the appearance of the design and some of their respective confluences with the art. Enriched by the progresses that the psychology of the visual perception provided to the contemporary understanding for the artistic representation, and consequently of this historicity, breaks of the hypothesis that this appearance has given in a process naturally evolutionary, aiming at to supply an inherent human need.

Formar professores de matemática no estado do Maranhão, Brasil: aspectos historiográficos

This paper intends to sketch some historical remarks on the formation of math teachers in undergraduate courses in Maranhão State, Brazil, since the 60’s, the decade in which the first of these courses was created. Its methodological approach is given by Oral History and, in order to collect data, some professors and students were interviewed. Such teachers are those responsible for the projects – and its implementation – of the first three undergraduate courses in Maranhão, and the students are part of the first team formed by them in those institutions.

The Covenanters of South Carolina Collections consists of a "Sketch of the Covenanters of Rocky Creek, South carolina About 1750 to 1840" by Miss Mary Elder, 1886 as dictated to her by her father Mr. Matthew Elder, Yorkville, SC. Also included is an undated genealogical sketch of William Stinson (Stevenson) (1752-1809) who was a covenanter from Rocky Creek, SC and a "History of Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church by Mrs. Frank Hicklin" that was written ca. 1958. The Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church was organized ca. 1752.

Lucia B. Bell Papers - Accession 255

The Lucia B. Bell Papers consist of historical and family history information pertaining to the Bell family of South Carolina. Most of the material relates to the Bell Family and other allies clans such as the Gaston, Coln, and Stinson Families. The earliest dated material includes notes on the Bell family’s coat-of-arms and a listing of land grants from 1770-1848. Information on the Chester County Covenanters along with reprinted historical sketches concerning the area’s general history and a biographical sketch on Reverend William Martin, the first Chester County Covenanter preacher. A brief history of Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church is provided with listing of former church elders and deacons from 1895-1958.
