Este trabalho analisa os jornais O Baur (publicado entre 1906 e 1924), da cidade de Bauru, e O Operrio (publicado entre 1909 e 1913), de Sorocaba, com nfase no perodo entre 1909 e 1913, para identificar em que medida os dois veculos representavam polticas correntes entre os operrios no perodo (anarquismo, socialismo e anticlericalismo, por exemplo), e faziam parte da experincia comunicacional do incio de sculo XX, na qual segmentos operrios e aliados puderam atuar diretamente na produo impressa, visando organizao poltica de classe

O trabalho de concluso de curso, que tem por tema A imprensa interiorana: anlise das dinmicas sociais e urbanas em O Progresso, 1925-1927 e O Linense, 1928-1929, visa analisar os peridicos aqui apontados, enquanto representativos dos jornais circulantes no interior paulista do incio do sculo XX, inseridos dentro de um contexto de urbanizao das cidades do noroeste do estado de So Paulo, mais especificamente, Lins. Esses peridicos sero, portanto, objeto de estudo e, concomitantemente, as principais ferramentas de pesquisa sobre a cidade aqui estudada e de identificao das temticas relativas ao assunto cidade/urbano. Este trabalho serve como um complemento pesquisa de iniciao cientfica A Imprensa em Lins: temas da cidade e do urbano em O Progresso, 1925-1927 e O Linense, 1928-1929, que teve como proposta fazer o levantamento de temas sobre a vida, as transformaes e as dinmicas urbanas de Lins, municpio do oeste paulista, mapeando diversas dimenses da cidade publicadas nos jornais O Progresso, do perodo de 1925 a 1927 e O Linense, de 1928 a 1929. Dessa maneira, o trabalho visa contribuir para os estudos sobre as cidades da Zona Noroeste paulista e, a partir da anlise dos jornais, realizar uma leitura da imprensa interiorana do incio do sculo XX em So Paulo. Cabe salientar que a pesquisa est vinculada ao Projeto Temtico Saberes Eruditos e Tcnicos na Configurao e Reconfigurao do Espao Urbano Estado de So Paulo, sculos XIX e XX (processo 05/55338-0), com coordenao do grupo de professores da Faculdade de Arquitetura, Artes e Comunicao da UNESP-Bauru. O subtema desse projeto, sob a responsabilidade especfica do orientador Clio Jos Losnak, chama-se As dimenses poltica e cultural da circulao dos saberes nas cidades do oeste paulista: legislao, processos decisrios... Esta monografia resultado da pesquisa de iniciao cientfica A imprensa em Ava: a cidade e o urbano no AVAHY-JORNAL, 1927 1931, e tem por objetivo fazer um levantamento e mapeamento de temas sobre as dinmicas e transformaes urbanas da cidade de Ava - localizada na regio oeste paulista -, presentes no peridico AVAHY-JORNAL no perodo compreendido entre novembro de 1927 a dezembro de 1931. Por meio da articulao entre a leitura e fichamento do jornal, documentao especfica sobre o municpio e fontes bibliogrficas das temticas acerca da Cidade e do Urbano, Histria da Imprensa, Histria de Ava, da regio e do estado de So Paulo, este trabalho tambm pretende esboar uma problematizao sobre a questo social, poltica e econmica de Ava do final dos anos 1920 e incio dos anos 1930, alm de analisar o veculo pesquisado

This paper aims at investigating the treatment given to relative clauses by elementary school text books, evidencing how the teaching of grammar is proposed in the teachers books. As a consequence, this study also intends to discuss important aspects to be considered as far as the teaching of relative clauses is concerned. In order to achieve that objective, five Portuguese text books (approved by the Programa Nacional do Livro Didtico-2014) were selected so that the grammar teaching proposals could be analyzed in relation to the definition and to the distinguishing criteria between defining and non-defining relative clauses. Results show that the teaching of relative clauses (as proposed by the teachers books) still reflects the postulates of the traditional grammar, based on activities of identification and classification of morphosyntactic units, ignoring the pragmatic and prosodic aspects.

This study aims to investigate the Idioms (IEs) or combinations related to the Italian lexical units testa and capo, in comparison to the Portuguese lexical unit cabea. Since they have come from two completely different etyma, they are not perfect synonyms; on the contrary, they gave rise to several expressions that are common to just one lexical units. Corpus selection was made in monolingual Italian general dictionaries and then the data was classified according to each typology: idioms that are common only with the unit capo; idioms just with head; idioms that are synonyms with both; IEs whose translations refer to other parts of the body. As a result, we found that most of the IEs with capo or testa have common semes, but most of them also are specific to one or other lexical unit exclusively, confirming the difference in semantic features between them as well as non-univocity between languages.

The objective was to seek positive and negative values that guide the discourse on conciseness and understand how this concept is understood in speeches in the media when taking the theme of text production. The corpus of work consists of two materials of Portuguese Language Magazine on this topic. The analysis of the corpus was made from Bakhtinian discourse studies, especially considering the concepts of dialogue, utterance and speech genres. The research considers mainly as Bakhtin Circle conceives the production of meaning. At the end, we believe it is important to reflect on the definitions that guide the discourse of conciseness, far in practice they are consistent with our reality of writing

This article analyses A Eschola Publica, an educational journal that circulated in So Paulo state between 1893-1894 and 1896-1897, whose editors, allied with the diffusion of republican ideas, helped the consolidation of objective method as a pedagogical efficient modern tool. It was possible gathering some sources that shows the acceptance of that method and the difficulties for its dissemination in the classroom, mainly those refers to teachers formation. Taking as referential bibliographical resources about schooling culture it was possible verifying that circulating in complementary parallel way to textbooks, the articles by A Eschola Publica endorse the innovative purposes and show barriers imposing on educational context. This journal produced a place for discussions and debates that contributed for controlling and producing symbolic resources

This article reflects upon the possible connections between the processes of economic globalization, changes in the labour market and the new forms of poverty. The debate is framed by two different economic contexts: Portugal (characterized by slow and insufficient growth rates, a serious social crisis, and difficulties in asserting itself economically and politically in the European and world contexts) and Brazil (a dynamic emerging economy, with high growth rates and receding poverty levels). This allows us to assess some of the economic and social impacts arising from the global pressure to be economically competitive, which have led to new forms of poverty, social precariousness and job insecurity in both societies.
