Mercado Público em Presidente Prudente

A cidade de Presidente Prudente conta com um pequeno mercado público de difícil acesso e poucos usuários, em um espaço que surgiu como um local provisório. Após 20 anos o edifício se encontra no mesmo lugar para a insatisfação dos comerciantes e usuários. O trabalho propõe a criação de um novo mercado público próximo ao Centro Cultural Matarazzo e IBC, criando um eixo cultural para a cidade, na região da linha férrea. O novo edifício integra com o antigo silo das Indústrias Anderson Clayton, cria praças com parque infantil, academia da terceira idade, teatro arena, ponto de ônibus, mesas e bancos. O projeto se fundamenta em metodologias visando criar espaços públicos bem sucedidos, ressaltados pelos benefícios dos mercados públicos na atualidade. Hipotireoidismo em cães: aspectos gerais

Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder in dogs caused by insufficient production and secretion of thyroid hormones. Most affected dogs have primary hypothyroidism that results from lymphocytic thyroiditis, idiopathic thyroid atrophy, or more rarely, neoplastic destruction. Secondary hypothyroidism resulting from inadequate secretion of thyrotropin (thyroid-stimulating hormone –TSH) from the pituitary gland is less commonly recognized. Tertiary hypothyroidism resulting from a deficiency of hypothalamic thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) has not been documented in dogs. The diagnosis of hypothyroidism in dogs is made on the basis of clinical findings, results of routine laboratory and thyroid gland function tests and response to thyroid hormone replacement. Unfortunately, these tests have high sensitivity, but low specificity, for use in the diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Thyroid hormone supplementation is indicated for the treatment of confirmed hypothyroidism and for the diagnoses of the disease through clinical response to trial therapy

Projeto de um transdutor binocular utilizando extensometria e aplicação na pesagem rodoviária

With the passage of time, the variety of companies from each branch has gradually grown throughout the country. As a consequence, the logistics to attend to such demand has grown in the same proportion. One factor to highlight about this rapid growth is the increase of freight vehicles roaming the roads, often carrying loads over the limit established by law. At first it may seem that this would not bring any problem, however, note that an excessive number of overloads ends up deteriorating the asphalt, causing ondulations, potholes and other imperfections on the roads, which can cause accidents. In addition, the money spent for the maintenance of the roads is high. Thinking about it, it was established by law a regulation that restricts the weight limit for these vehicles, through axle weighing, subject to a fine. With this control the road floor is preserved for longer, requiring less maintenance expenses. The weighing stations use load cells to display the inferred weight, these cells use strain gages in its construction. Estudo da modificação do ângulo do conjunto cilindro-pistão em motores de combustão interna

The aim of this study is to present those who are interested in mechanical engineering, specifically automotive engineering some ideas for improvements to the current concept of internal combustion engines. It is not intenden to change totally the design of the engine known today, but to exame the feasibility of reducing a small waste generated with the current positioning of the cylinder-piston assembly. The proposal solution consists in modifying the tilt cylinder-piston assembly in the angle between the rod and the cylinder axis. This inclination causes all the force generated in the combustion process within the cylinder is delivered to the rod.Delivery force is the made in the rod longitudinal direction and not on the axis of the cylinder, preventing the occurrence of a breakdown of the force generated in the combustion process. After analyzing the idea of repositioning the piston-cylinder assemble, it is concluded that the change has a positive result in the process of harnessing the power generated in the com bustion, but its not feasible due implementation to low gain presented in this study

Contaminação na cidade de Caçapava, SP: exposição ao risco e investigação confirmatória

A Geografia da Saúde é um eixo temático dentro da ciência geográfica preocupada com as questões pertinentes à saúde ambiental e a saúde do coletivo. As contribuições dos geógrafos para o estudo da Saúde tem sido de grande valia, indo para além da análise espacial das práticas em saúde como também investigando e analisando os fatores determinantes ao risco a saúde e, inversamente, ao bem estar-estar do social e ambiental. Dentro deste contexto, esta monografia se propõe a uma investigação confirmatória a cerca de uma contaminação ao meio ambiente por metais pesados, neste caso, a contaminação por chumbo por uma extinta fábrica de lingotes de chumbo situada no município de Caçapava, SP. O chumbo é um metal que não possui função fisiológica conhecida ao corpo humano. Devido a características físicas e químicas favoráveis, esse metal foi largamente explorado pelo setor industrial e hoje, no mundo todo, temos exemplos de casos de contaminação tanto da população e do ambientel, por ser altamente tóxico. Caçapava possui mais um infeliz exemplo de contaminação ambiental por metais pesados, decorrente de uma fábrica que produzia o chumbo secundário e que atualmente está fechada por ordem judicial, abandonada e com toneladas de escória de chumbo armazenada de modo irregular, fato que está colaborando para uma contaminação residual naquele ambiente... Centro de Educação e Artes: a requalificação do Antigo Mercado Municipal de Tupã (SP)

A memória de uma cidade está intimamente ligada aos edifícios e as intervenções urbanas que fizeram parte de sua história, principalmente no que diz respeito a espaços e estabelecimentos públicos, como o antigo Mercado Municipal de Tupã, SP que, juntamente com a igreja matriz de São Pedro, o Museu Histórico e Pedagógico Índia Vanuíre, o Solar Luiz de Souza Leão (antiga casa do fundador da cidade), a escola Bartíra e a linha férrea formam o eixo histórico da cidade. Tendo o antigo Mercado Municipal como objeto de trabalho, pretende-se propor a requalificação do local, transformando-o em um Centro de Educação e Artes com espaço para exposições permanentes e temporárias, onde a população possa interagir e participar das atividades do local. O resgate da memória delimitada pelo eixo histórico e a preservação das características dessa área também serão estudados servindo como fundamentação e ligação entre o projeto proposto e o espaço analisado

Um estudo de caso sobre os custos de transação de se utilizar os cartórios de registro de imóveis

O presente trabalho procura colocar a tona – a partir de leituras bibliográficas, conversas e entrevistas com donos de cartórios – a questão fundiária no Brasil, mais especificamente no município de Araraquara; tendo como eixo estruturante a evolução histórica, as leis e a legislação que regem essa instituição; além disso, há uma discussão sobre as teorias a respeito dos direitos de propriedade e custos de transação. Por fim, serão calculados os dispêndios para a compra/venda de uma propriedade rural, observando o porquê de alguns donos de imóveis rurais não registram, ou quando o fazem não é acompanhado do cadastro que compete ao INCRA

Estudo da inflexão da Serra do Garrote e sua influência na zona de falha de Vazante (MG)

The Vazante Fault Zone (VFZ), located northwestward of Minas Gerais, host the largest zinc deposit known in the Brazilian territory. This structure is hosted in Vazante’s Group rocks, a metassedimentary sequence of marine environment. Near Vazante is situated the south end of the VFZ. To the west, occur the Serra do Garrote inflexion, characterized by a curvature in the contact of Formations Serra do Garrote and Serra do Poço Verde. This structure is through the analysis of aerial imagery of the region and represented in the published geological maps. The objective of this work is to understand what causes this inflexion and determine whether it affects the VZF, causing a shift in the same, and possibly, in the mineralization as well. To this end, it was done a mapping work in the region covering the Serra do Garrote inflexion and the south end of the VFZ, in 1:25.000 scale, supplemented by petrographic description of thin section and geologic sections, with cooperated to the understanding of the structural evolution of the region. Data analysis allowed the identification of six deformation phases. The D1 an D2 phases generated the main foliation. The D3 phase generate kink bands folds, with NS axis and vertical axial plane. The fourth phase is responsible for generating the Vazante Fault Zone. The fifth phase produces low angle folds and shear zones, subparallel to S1//S2. The last phase generates folds with NW axis and vertical axial plane, with causes the inflection of lithologic contactas. Field observations also make possible the conclusion that the Vazante Fault Zone presents a south continuation, which is affected by deformation associated to D6 phase attributing to the trace of the VFZ a curved geometry, similar to that exhibited by lithologic contacts between units of the map

Síndrome dilatação-vólvulo gástrico em cães

The gastric dilatation- volvulus (GDV) is an acute and potentially lethal disease, characterized by increased size of the stomach associated with mesenteric rotation on its axis, which affects mainly large breed dogs and giants with deep and narrow chest. The diagnosis is made from the history, physical examination, clinical signs and radiographic evaluation. It is an emergency that requires immediate therapy and consists on protocols to treat shock, gastric decompression, surgical repositioning of the stomach, gastropexy and intensive post-operative care. Despite the significant progress in the elucidation of pathophysiological events, risk factors and treatment, there was almost no progress in determining the root causes of this disease. A significant advance was recently described in the literature on this topic is the technique of gastropexy laparoscopy. Instruct the owners of the high risk breeds is extremely important to avoid situations in which the severity of the illness make the surgical treatment impracticable and the animal’s condition irreversible

Centro de Convênções para a Terceira Idade em um superquadra de Brasília

A elaboração de um cento de convivência voltado para o público idoso vem de encontro com a consolidação desta faixa etária no país, que ainda se ressente da falta de locais que se adequem ao seu perfil e às suas variadas necessidades. Pensando nisto, a cidade de Brasília foi escolhida como local para a inserção de tal projeto, visando criar um eixo de ligação com a Universidade de Brasília, que detém a propriedade da última superquadra não edificada na cidade. Nesta, a construção de unidades habitacionais é importante para combater o déficit habitacional bem como minimizar a crescente especulação imobiliária na cidade. Projetar em toda sua unidade se torna um grande desafio, porém essencial para que tanto o Centro de Convivência como as habitações passem a ser utilizadas de maneira eficiente e comprovem a dinâmica da superquadra, no qual espaços públicos e privados entram em consonância e se tornam local de vivência a todos os seus moradores. O centro de convivência se destinará à realização de atividades que ofereçam oportunidades de melhoria à qualidade de vida da terceira idade bem como a realização de extensão universitária que possibilite a viabilização de estudos e atendimento a esta população. Aulas de artes, informática, dança e prática de esportes serão desenvolvidas no local, que busca através dos blocos construtivos e suas cores facilitar a cognição do idoso no espaço... Hiperadrenocorticismo atípico em cães

The endocrine diseases, notably Cushing's disease, are of great importance from the morbid pictures that affect the canine species. Due to the imprecision of the standard tests, the HAC can be a diagnosis difficult to confirm. Often, the clinical manifestations and biochemical and hematological findings support the diagnosis of HAC, but endocrine tests are normal or inconclusive. The excessive production of ACTH may, in the adrenals, not only stimulate the increase of glucocorticoids, but also of sex hormones. In recent studies, the concentrations of sex hormones were used as parameters to check the adrenal gland function in animals with suspected Cushing's disease, suggesting that high serum concentrations of 17 hydroxyprogesterone (17OHP) and other sex steroid hormones would be the cause of the so called atypical hyperadrenocorticism

Ecologia e sociedade: um estudo sobre a experiência da Uniluz

Nesta pesquisa estudamos as relações entre ecologia e sociedade a partir da experiência realizada pela Organização Social Civil de Interesse Público – Nazaré UNILUZ, sediada em Nazaré Paulista, no Estado de São Paulo. Esta organização social implementa diversos programas de desenvolvimento sustentável e tem como eixo central a relação do sujeito com a natureza. Todos os projetos executados nesta instituição afirmam o compromisso com o desenvolvimento sustentável. Com o uso da metodologia da “cartografia” apresentamos as paisagens emergentes no trânsito por um território de fronteira constituído nas relações entre ecologia e sociedade. Assumimos como hipótese de investigação que os modos como os indivíduos se implicam em seus percursos pela natureza determinam a dinâmica dos vínculos com ela estabelecidos. Devido a esta hipótese faremos um rigoroso rastreamento das marcas das sensações e as possíveis vinculações com o movimento de re-significação dos modos do sujeito estar na vida. Portanto, a dimensão epistemológica será, em todo o estudo, considerada em suas articulações com a dimensão ontológica. Neste mapeamento de marcas e sentidos acrescentaremos uma atenção especial para com o papel da memória, seja no recurso de aproximação das marcas constitutivas no corpo dos sujeitos, seja na condição material de adentrar na linguagem e elaborar sentidos. Nosso estudo pretende, por meio da cartografia, avaliar os limites e as possibilidades dos programas de desenvolvimento sustentável, quando tais programas incluem os modos de implicação dos corpos na mudança de atitudes do sujeito em suas relações com o ambiente. As relações entre sociedade e ecologia são estudadas na análise dos programas de desenvolvimento sustentável em execução no âmbito da UNILUZ, em diálogo com as formulações teóricas advindas da chamada “ecologia profunda”

Antidepressivo em ratos com insuficiência aórtica pode modificar a expressão gênica de ocitocina e vasopressina centrais?

Aortic regurgitation (AR) leads to a left ventricle dilation and hypertrophy in response to a chronic volume overload. It is still very frequent in developing countries, for instance Brazil, and often as secondary to rheumatic fever. Usually, chronic AR is generally well tolerated for many years, when with the heart dilated the patient searches for treatment. Bidirectional association with depression and cardiovascular disease has been described. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) are widely prescribed to treat several affective disorders, especially for cardiovascular patients since they decrease arrhythmia probability. These SSRI improves cardiac function in rats submitted to stress protocols. Preliminary study from our laboratory showed that following 4 weeks of treatment with one SSRI (paroxetine) in subchronic AR rats there was a decreased in daily sodium intake and an improvement in systolic function. An increase in the central oxytocinergic transmission may be involved in this peripheral improvement to the heart. The investigations about the mechanisms underlying this improvement are necessary. Therefore the aims of this project is investigate the effects of 4 weeks of treatment of paroxetine, a SSRI, in rats with a subchronic AR over the central central gene expression of oxytocin and vasopressin using a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)

Aplicando Métodos de Mineração Visual de Texto em conteúdo de Fórum de Discussão

We are included in a society where the use of the Internet became very important to our everyday life. The relationships nowadays usually happen through technological devices instead of face to face contact, for instance, Internet forums where people can discuss online. However, the global analysis is a big challenge, due to the large amount of data. This work investigates the use of visual representations to support an exploratory analysis of contents in messages from discussions forums. This analysis considers the thematic and the chronology. The target forums refer to the educational area and the analysis happens manually, i.e. by direct reading message-by-message. The proprieties of perception and cognition of the human visual system allow a person the capacity to conduct high-level tasks in information extraction from a graphical or visual representation of data. Therefore, this work was based on Visual Analytics, an area that aims create techniques that amplify these human abilities. For that reason we used software that creates a visualization of data from a forum. This software allows a forum content analysis. But, during the work, we identified the necessity to create a new tool to clean the data, because the data had a lot of unnecessary information. After cleaning the data we created a new visualization and held an analysis seeking a new knowledge. In the end we compared the new visualization with the manual analysis that had been made. Analyzing the results, it was evident the potential of visualization use, it provides a better correlation between the information, enabling the acquisition of new knowledge that was not identified in the initial analysis, providing a better use of the forum content
