Analysis of the process of inspection in recreational craft in Spain. Suggestions for safety improvement

Inspections of pleasure boats in Spain can be carried out by collaborating entities of inspection, entities that must be authorized by the Maritime Administration. This authorization allows to perform effective inspections and technical controls of recreational crafts. Recreational crafts are subjected to surveys that are based on the registration list and on the material used in the hull. In addition, required safety equipment of the recreational boat depends on the distance that the recreational boat is authorized to navigate. Following data obtained from inspections of recreational craft, this paper aims to analyze information about hulls within dry and afloat conditions, about the equipment for rescue and safety, and about other nautical equipment; as well as to perform and improve different verifications during the inspections. All this information points to several aspects relevant for the optimization of the inspection process, the ultimate target being increasing efficiency and effectiveness, and ensuring more safety in recreational craft.

Emmy Noether: her heritage

Emmy Noether is my role model for the following reasons. She is one of the most important mathematician and physicists of the 20 century; She fought to be a scientist in times where women were not allowed to be one; She was a leader that gathered around her a large school of students and collaborators. In the lecture these reasons will be substantiated with historical facts. In addition, a general assessment of the significance of her ideas and works, from her times until today, will be advanced.

The vast majority of users don’t seek results beyond the second page offered by the search engine, so if a site fails to be among the top 20 (second page), it says that this page does not have good SEO and, therefore, is not visible to the user. The overall objective of this project is to conduct a study to discover the factors that determine (or not) the positioning of websites in a search engine.

El servicio de búsqueda de información tiene como finalidad proporcionar respuesta a las preguntas especializadas formuladas por los usuarios de la biblioteca. Los bibliotecarios temáticos consultas fuentes de información y elaboran una respuesta en función de las necesidades del usuario. La Biblioteca Rector Gabriel Ferraté ha elaborado unos estándares de calidad del servicio basados en: A) el análisis de la evolución de diversos indicadores. B) Los atributos de caliudad del servicio des del punto de vista del usuario. C) El análisis de los procesos que lo conforman.
