Gestos, expressões e emoções: quando a linguagem corporal permeia as relações públicas

De quanto vale um pequeno gesto, um sorriso, um olhar? São estes detalhes que nascem da linguagem corporal é que estarão presentes neste trabalho. Este projeto foi construído a partir do desejo de se provar que a mensagem presente sob as palavras tem um grande e belo papel para o diálogo e as relações humanas. É com esse propósito que, inicialmente, buscaremos o homem na raiz de sua linguagem, numa trajetória cultural e evolutiva das expressões e da utilização do corpo humano nos rituais de interação. Aos poucos, este mesmo homem se descobre um ser simbólico, com sua capacidade de interpretar símbolos e sinais por meio de um mundo de representações, que fez com que o ser humano procurasse sair da solidão em busca da formação de comunidades. Neste momento, o corpo marca importante papel comunicativo, já que exerce sua função unificadora nas variadas dimensões interpessoais. A partir dessa particularidade, buscaremos o homem imerso na coletividade das organizações, comunicando seus estados emocionais e fazendo uso do não-verbal para reeducar o seu comportamento como trabalhador, mas principalmente, como homem. Este trabalho propõe, assim, analisar a importância de dimensões esquecidas da comunicação que permeiam a percepção dos sentidos, dos afetos, das emoções e da cordialidade entre os sujeitos. Neste sentido, o profissional de Relações Públicas quer fomentar em si – e no outro – o desejo de resgatar valores adquiridos ao longo da história humana, para se fazer presente como sujeito e compreender o outro, de corpo, alma e em todas as suas dimensões

Um Estudo da modelagem matemática na educação matemática e seu potencial para o desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico

The implementation of mathematical modeling curricula represents a great challenge, both for teachers and students, since it escapes the traditional teaching methodology, i.e. when the teacher speaks to his/her students. This work presents, at least, one possible way of implementing mathematical modeling inside the classroom, and how this way encourage critical thinking in students. I see mathematical modeling as an opportunity to minimize student's rejection and increase their interest for mathematics, promoting their competencies to give points of scene in every day situations. The history of mathematics shows that mathematical modeling had developed since almost the beginning of human live, when men needed to solve problems that arose in the course of his life. Mathematics has become more and more abstract, but it is important to recall what was originated it. In this way, it is possible to make this subject matter more meaningful to students. I will make an introduction of mathematical modeling, presenting some important definitions. Based on this framework, I will present a classroom instruction understand on a 7 th grade classroom by myself. With this in instruction I sustain the idea that mathematical modeling has, in fact, a great potential to improve the quality of mathematics teaching. I also sustain that, the development of critical thinking, as a competence, way be achieved with it

Um estudo sobre a linguagem publicitária e suas técnicas argumentativas

O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de buscar compreender melhor o funcionamento linguístico em anúncios publicitários. O corpus se compõe de cinco anúncios impressos, publicados em revistas atuais, dos anos de 2011 a 2012; nos quais foram analisadas as técnicas argumentativas e recursos linguísticos neles contidos, em especial aqueles que contribuíram para criar um clima coloquial, de aproximação da marca com o cliente em potencial. Para a presente pesquisa, foi feito um levantamento bibliográfico dentro da área da Linguística de Argumentação. As análises realizadas buscaram verificar como a linguagem é usada para persuadir o consumidor, principalmente com o uso de metáforas. A partir delas, pode-se verificar que os textos publicitários se constituem uma rica fonte para os estudiosos da língua, já que a publicidade é capaz de ampliar o sentido de uma palavra, se utilizando de diversos recursos linguísticos

Uma discussão sobre a base metafórica das figuras de linguagem

The aim of this work is the analysis of some figures of speech, which is based on the existence of a nature of metaphorical process. The research starts from the hypothesis that these figures form themselves by this process. The study is based on the reading of the chapter “Figuras de linguagem”, which is in the work Lições de gramática de usos do português (NEVES, in the press), in which are given lessons about figures of speech, using literary texts and suggesting a metaphorical base for the general sustenance of the analyses. From these lessons, that had already directed groupings and analyses in Seves (2009), a reanalysis was done according to a theoretical orientation which basis is cognitivist, what contribute to this idea about the origin of the figurative processes. The bases of the theoretical orientation, in this sense, are: the conceptual metaphor theory (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 1980), which considers metaphor as a cognitive (mental) process; and the current of the systematic metaphor (CAMERON, 2005 apud SARDINHA, 2007) that defends the attention to the recurring use of metaphor in real language, before doing assertions about the mind’s functioning. The analyses indicated these conclusions: a) the theory of the conceptual metaphor can be considered efficient for the foundation of the analyses, what implies a minimization of the metonymic component in the exam of these figures; b) and in the basis of the majority of the founded figures it is evident the nature of a metaphorical process

Coroa da terra: a poesia como (re)criação do mundo

This monograph is aimed at reflecting the internal structure of the book Coroa da Terra (1946), the Portuguese poet Jorge de Sena (1919-1978), investigating for this, the guiding criteria for the ordering of poems. Starting from a question posed by an author paratext, we considered the possibility that the book is constituted as a unit of poetic path, in which each poem comprises a stretch of the pilgrimage undertaken by the poet toward the crown of the Earth. Moreover, from the epigraph of the book and the Preface (1960) of 1st edition of Poesia I (1961), we consider the idea that the Coroa da Terra is a search for truth, or even that the pilgrimage made by the poet is on the trail of a poetic word conscious and therefore ethically responsible. This search would set the poetic language of testimony, from which derive two other important vectors for the exegesis of poetry seniana: metamorphosis and pilgrimage. Upholding the unity of the book would be the language in dialectical flow as a formal procedure, which enables the poet be an expression in constant motion. To check the validity of our hypothesis, we conducted an analysis of four poems in sequential order (―Purgatório‖, ―Suma Teológica‖, ―Os trabalhos e os dias‖, ―Espiral‖). To them, it was added to analyze the poem ―Metamorfose‖, poem 23rd of the Coroa da Terra, which acted as a reference point and as close to the research by presenting a character's thought seniano synthesis. It was found that the idea of unity is sustained when we consider Coroa da Terra as a journey of formative poetic direction

As concepções de natureza e a relação sociedade-natureza no pensamento de Monteiro Lobato

Buscou-se com o presente trabalho identificar as concepções de natureza e a relação sociedade-natureza presentes no pensamento do escritor brasileiro Monteiro Lobato. Por meio de pesquisa de natureza documental foram identificadas, predominantemente, as concepções romântica e utilitarista da natureza. Desta forma, quanto às relações sociedade-natureza delas decorrentes, em conseqüência da concepção romântica identificou-se a referência ao homem como destruidor e ser não pertencente à natureza, assim como em decorrência da concepção utilitarista percebeuse a legitimação do direito de exploração dos elementos naturais pelo ser humano. O estudo voltou-se também para a maneira como estas concepções de natureza, coexistentes no pensamento lobatiano, revelam-se ao ser discutida a questão do desenvolvimento brasileiro, causa defendida por Lobato durante sua vida, principalmente por meio das campanhas pela exploração do petróleo e ferro nacionais. Percebeu-se que ao considerar esta questão, a concepção predominante é a utilitarista, defendendo-se a exploração dos recursos para a riqueza nacional. Foram identificadas contradições nos posicionamentos de Monteiro Lobato, motivadas seja por aspectos emocionais seja pela influência do momento histórico vivido pelo escritor. Possivelmente as concepções identificadas na obra lobatiana refletem as concepções hegemônicas no momento histórico de sua produção, assim como influenciariam seus leitores na constituição de suas concepções de natureza e na maneira como estes estabeleceriam sua relação com o meio natural não-humano

Reflexõs sobre a linguagem do ambiente chat no Teletandem sob a perspectiva da natureza heterogênea da escrita

This paper aims at discussing the characteristics of computer mediated language within a foreign language teaching and learning environment enabled by the use of synchronic writing resources – chat. The present research is based on (i) theoretical principles about the use of technologies and the teaching-learning of foreign languages in the scope of the Teletandem Brazil Project: Foreign languages for all – Projeto Teletandem Brasil: línguas estrangeiras para todos (TELLES, 2005); (ii) studies on the characteristics of the language within chat interactions; (iii) different theoretical perspectives on the relationship between spoken and written language, emphasizing the constitutive heterogeneity of writing perspective (CORRÊA, 1997, 1998, 2001); and (iv) some relevant concepts related to Prosodic Phonology field (NESPOR; VOGEL, 1986). Is being taken as research data, the written production of a Brazilian student (finishing a Licentiate in Literature) interacting with an American student (in Religious Studies) through Windows Live Messenger. The data were collected during a five-month period, during which the participants interacted through chat, totalizing 12 interactions in English and in Portuguese. During the analysis, a particular attention was given to the messages’ fragmentation, the use (or not) of punctuation signs and abbreviations within the Brazilian participant’s production, in order to discuss the representations she built of her writing, her interlocutor, herself and on the teaching-learning process of a foreign language.

O léxico tabu: usos e aspectos socioculturais

The language in use in a society is product of a culture and reflects the way a community thinks. Therefore, the lexical units, through the meanings assigned by a social group, establish a specific look of the universe. We intend to demonstrate that for the denomination of the sexual organs of the human body it usual to avoid the official anatomical terminology – relegated to the contexts of great formality – and to adopt other lexical items during informal situations. This paper reflects about some sociocultural aspects of the forbidden language, that encloses the erogene zones. Using as theory the studies of Lexicology and the obscene lexicon, we intend to verify this lexical typology based in our corpus, and stimulate reflections about the use and the substitution of the official terminology, showing that there are variations in relation to the age and gender of the speakers. We intend, with this research, to demystify some prejudices related to the erotic-obscene lexicon, its use and its creation and to stimulate reflections.

A contribuição de Wittgenstein na Educação em Ciências

A Filosofia é muito importante para todos os campos de conhecimento. No caso da Educação em Ciências, suas ferramentas de pensamento são importantes porque nos possibilitam descrever os fundamentos das teorias de aprendizagem, já que todas trazem consigo pressupostos filosóficos sobre o conhecimento e sua aprendizagem. O pensamento de Wittgenstein é considerado de crucial importância para a Filosofia do século XX,e sua filosofia tem ganhado importância crescente no cenário da Educação em Ciências, em especial nos aspectos relacionados à compreensão do papel da linguagem na aprendizagem e na elaboração de significados. Nesse trabalho trazemos uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a contribuição desse filósofo nas linhas de pesquisa da Educação em Ciências, e também propomos novas aplicações de sua filosofia.

Aplicação de princípios do pensamento enxuto no processo de envio e devolução de correspondências em um banco privado

The success obtained by the Toyota Company in implementing the Toyota Production System was a global case of study that generated different new approaches, such as Lean Thinking. This approach was already successfully applied to various sectors, breeding methodologies as Lean Service, Lean Office or Lean IT. In this paper, the main concepts of Lean Thinking were applied in an information flow through an action research, more specifically in the sending and return of mailing process from a bank. The objectives were to create changes that led to the decrease of the mail returning indexes and ultimately to cost reduction and waste elimination. For this purpose the actual situation was mapped, and after data collection and analysis, a future proposed state was generated for the information flow. Alongside, indicators were conceived for managing process control and a set of implemented and proposed improvements were delivered. The applied Lean Thinking concepts were considered efficient for the application, and the proposed objectives were achieved
