Altas Capacidades en Educación Secundaria: Un estudio piloto sobre percepciones y necesidades de formación del profesorado

El presente estudio busca explorar las percepciones de los profesores de secundaria acerca de los alumnos con altas capacidades (AACC), en cuanto a su frecuencia de aparición, comportamiento académico y características personales. También se revisa la existencia de estereotipos asociados al género. La muestra está formada por 67 docentes de secundaria pertenecientes a los Institutos de Educación Secundaria Juan de la Cierva (Madrid) y Bernaldo de Quirós (Asturias). Para la recogida de datos se diseñó un cuestionario ad hoc, que incluye una subescala de percepciones sobre comportamiento académico y cuestiones de género relativas al alumnado con AACC, mostrando poseer un buen nivel de consistencia interna (α de Cronbach = .81). Los resultados muestran la existencia de ciertos estereotipos relacionados con los buenos resultados académicos y con pobres habilidades sociales y emocionales del alumnado con AACC. La experiencia previa con alumnado con AACC y la formación específica parecen apuntar a mayores niveles de información y a una reducción en los estereotipos asociados con este colectivo, aunque las diferencias halladas no siempre alcanzaron la significación estadística. A raíz de los resultados se proponen unas líneas de formación para el profesorado, ya que consideramos que ésta es fundamental para reducir estereotipos, aumentar la identificación de alumnos de AACC en las aulas y mejorar la respuesta a sus necesidades educativas.

This research presents Ludwig II of Baviera (1845-1886) as a historical figure and the vision of his reign theItalian director Luchino Visconti showed in his movies. This research states in an analytic and scrupulousway the relations between the historical figure, its filmic representation and the director himself. In addition,through an exhaustive research, this paper shows the aesthetics generated by directors like Visconti who reacheda remarkable peak in history of European film. Finally, this paper goes through the making of this film,which went from a transitional film within the Visconti oeuvre to one of his most troublesome and health-riskingprojects causing afterwards Visconti´s death.

News agencies, their constant reinvention as a strategy to face competition

News agencies compete for a foothold as providers of information and mass media. Covered by a technological class infrastructure, Associated Press, Reuters, Agence FrancePresse (AFP) and EFE are leaders of the global media system because they introduce revolutionary changes in their production routines, professional culture, journalistic genres and styles; also for its innovative product offerings and services. This article also focuses on the strategies of the agencies to get closer to their audiences, from the agreements established and the treatment of very specific themes. Some solutions that contribute to the future survival of these entities are also proposed.

Journalistic organisations with regard to training and professional changes. Parallelisms with academic discourse

The present paper analyses the parallelism existing between academic and professional discourse regarding three interrelated subjects: journalists´ training needs, their adaptation to multimedia profile changes and recognition of University graduates via professional regulation. This study relies on a bibliographical review and brings together the opinion of five professional groups by means of an interview using an openended questionnaire. The results show a coincidence in both discourses regarding the need for firmly grounded training of the journalists with study plans which integrate the new profiles. At the same time, it reflects the discrepancy of the journalistic groups with regard to professional regulation based on the University degree, whose vindication does not appear to be a priority in academic circles.

From Pro-Franco to Anti-Government. The Evolution of the "Sur" regarding National Politics during the Spanish Transition (1975-1978)

The Spanish transition, the political process through which Spain ceased to be a dictatorship to become a democracy, was accompanied by the dissolution of the National Movement, the institutional support for the chain of the Movement Press from its beginnings, in April 1977. This fact, among others, contributed to the /Sur/, the regional reference newspaper for the chain in Andalusia, evolving both structurally and ideologically to adapt itself to the new political regime. This study applies content analysis to editorials, articles and columns published by the newspaper between 1975 and 1978, exploring the process through which the regional newspaper edited in Málaga abandoned its propaganda function with regard to the Government, considering it undemocratic, and supported the PSOE, presenting it as the best alternative to the UCD in the Spanish Executive, thus taking on its role as a political agent.
