The objective of this work is to carry out a study about some aspects of the myth in the book Heroides, written by the Latin author Ovid (43 b.C. – 17/18 A.D.). To do so, this study will focus on the Letter I (“From Penelope to Ulysses”) approaching not only the stylistic issues of the elegiac genre, but also, studying them in connection with the epistolary subgenre. Departing from some biographical remarks about the author and from studies made by scholars about this poet, this work seeks to address the myth and certain little explored features of this genre, as the use of rhetoric

Since the priors, man has been trying to understand the concept of time. From myth to quantum physics, time is something that inspires reflections on our own lives. Do we exist in time or for time? Literature, a peculiar form of knowledge, deals with the experience of time in many ways. By avoiding categorizations, literature converges time and space in a dimension in which labyrinth and compass converge: at the reading time, in the reader’s space, in the universe of the book, where Cronos, Kairos, and their heir, by excellence, the literary word, constellate. In this way, in this essay, I discuss some aspects of the relationship between literature and time, or still, what literature can teach us about the time.

This paper presents the development of a scientific investigation that addresses the Latin text using theoretical concepts of Linguistic, Literary Poetic and Semiotic in order to focus mainly on aspects of the figurative expression. Therefore, the meaning effects raised by the perception through the reading of text were taken as baseline data to investigate the particular arrangement of language, responsible for expression of these effects. As a result of this investigation, a metalinguistic discourse was produced about the basic features of the poetic figurativity of the text. This analysis and description had a focus mainly on the first step of the procedures of figurativization, i.e., the figuration of the discourse, when a theme is coated by semiotic figures. In addition, reference notes were drafted to accompany the selected translation of support, with general comments about the culture (mythology, history, geography, philosophy, etc.), necessary data to an more comprehensive understanding of the text (these notes shall provide basic subsidies for reading the original Latin)

Departing from Ariovaldo Vidal’s statement, in his foreword to the Brazilian translation of The Castle of Otranto, that the Gothic sources were spread upon literary and social history waiting for someone (Horace Walpole) to collect them in order to create a new literary genre, and connecting imagination to such statement, my purpose in this paper is to make some notes on what would possibly be these sources referred by Vidal. By the means of thinking on the Darkness as a semi-concept, a perspective largely inspired in Fred Botting’s Gothic (2014), I intend to look for the origins of Gothic fiction in texts by Homer, Virgil, Dante, and Milton.

The present research, of a qualitative nature, aimed to check possible changes in the relations between pairs after the implantation of a work with children’s literature. The work was part of a teacher training project whose proposal is the deployment of a cooperative sociomoral environment in the classroom. The sample was composed of 250 students (boys and girls) 7-10 years, students of elementary school I in municipal education networks in São Paulo State. The method used was the application of a questionnaire in two stages: the pre-test, prior to the implementation of the project, and the post-test, carried out with the children after the end of the work. By means the questionnaire, that contained questions on three main themes – friendships at school, the systematic group work and the feelings expressed with respect to the school –, the children were asked about the quality of the relations between pairs. The data obtained have gone through a quantitative and qualitative analysis, being statistically proven. Eventually, the results of the two stages of the questionnaire were compared, indicating a better quality in interpersonal relations experienced in school after the implementation of the work with children’s literature.

La reina Juana I se construye discursivamente a partir de las crónicas de sus contemporáneos. Olvidada durante siglos, reaparece en el romanticismo francés y español. La Juana del franquismo estipula intensa intertextualidad con la Juana de la tradición decimonónica. Este texto indaga, con base en Doña Juana la Loca, de Gómez de la Serna, y Juana inventó la noche, de Martín Elizondo, la intertextualidad compleja entre la Juana del franquismo y la Juana de los exiliados.

Nous comprenons que la littérature, quelle que soit l'adjectif qui accompagne - enfant, adolescent ou adulte - est l'art. L'art de la parole qui crée des mondes possibles, pas réel, à travers un langage très élaboré et complexe qui permet la compréhension de toute la l'expérience humaine. D'autre part, la réalide l'éducation brésilienne nous montre que nos étudiants ont de la difficulté à comprendre des textes écrits, ce que compromettre l'apprentissage de toutes les matières du programme. Dans ce sens, cette étude a eu l'óbjective à à souligner les possibilités que nous avons d'incorporer la literature brésilienne pour les enfants e les jeunes - appropriée aux étudiants de l'enseignement de base, les enfants et les jeunes - comme um élément transdisciplinaire, associant toutes les disciplines du programme scolaire de l'école élémentaire, notre découpure. Ainsi, nous le signalons dans Cacoete, d' Eva Furnari (2005), des éléments de toutes les matières du programme d'études de cette étape scolaire Brésilienne, afin de montrer aux les enseignants de tous les domaines qui le travail avec la littérature conduit nécessairement à la compréhension de toutes la connaissance. Notre étude a été réalisée sous une approche qualitative de caractère bibliographique. Pour l'embasement théorique nous utilisons de auteurs qui recherche le concept et les spécificités du texte littéraire, selon Rolland Barthes (2007) et Tzvetan Todorov (2009) aussi que des auteurs qui l'étudient spécifiquement de la littérature pour les enfants, selon Nelly Novaes Coelho (2006) et Fanny Abramovich (1983; 1999). Ils ont été également consultées des auteurs qui recherche sur la lecture, la littérature et l'école, selon John Wanderley Geraldi (2006), Marisa Lajolo (1997), Ana Maria Machado (2011), Iara Conceição Bitencourt Neves et al (2003), Roxane Rojo (2002), Ezequiel Theodoro da Silva (1988)...

Osseointegrated implants have specific nature distinguish them from natural teeth making them more susceptible to the efforts generated by mastication. The absence of periodontal ligament, which absorbs the masticatory forces and allows the movement of the teeth interfere with the reception of occlusal loads and therefore the predictability of implants. In the boneimplant interface did not occur the phenomena of dissipation of impact, even the movement induced. Thus, during planning and installation of implant prosthesis, the type and characteristics of occlusal pattern adopted should be established with criteria to be no grounds for future failures. In this regard we highlight the occlusal overload generated by several reasons like the presence of premature contacts, interference during motion excursive, deleterious habits and inappropriate extensions on cantilevers. Thus, the objective is to provide a review of the literature regarding the importance of occlusion in oral rehabilitation with implants. Factors to be considered in establishing a favorable occlusion, consistent with prostheses on implants will be described
