Intertextualidades, símbolos e mitos entre o romance Mygale e o filme A pele que habito

The award-winning and controversial movie by Pedro Almodóvar “The skin I live” (2011) is an adaptation of Mygale’s novel (1984), the French writer Thierry Jonquet (1954-2009), translated into Portuguese in 2005 as Tarântula. It is a horror story, full of suspense, in which a renowned surgeon, Robert Ledgard, played by Antonio Banderas, switches, without any scruples, the sex of the young Vincent. What it shown to the viewer since the first images of the movie is, therefore, Vicente/Vera in her new and perfect female body. Flashbacks clarify during the movie the events that culminated in the opening scene that is presented to us, surprising us and, of course, shocking us. References to myths and symbols can be noticed in the movie. They bring with them, to be recognized by the viewer, issues related to the creation or metamorphosis, among others, as the Pygmalion and Galatea myth, which binds to artistic creation. Artistic metamorphosis operated equally by the filmmaker in his modern version of the doctor and the monster, for example, but, especially, in the rereading of the Jonquet’s novel. This study seeks to highlight some of the major myths and symbols inserted in Almódovar’s movie and what interpretations such insertions may ensue.

Diagnóstico e tratamento precoce da Classe III: relato de um caso clínico

In malocclusion studies, may happen not only dental discrepancies but even skeletal discrepancies. In Class III malocclusion can be observed underdeveloped maxilla, mandible protraction or both of them, and, in most of the times associated with a narrow maxilla that causes anterior or posterior crossbites, in one side or in two sides. The aim of this case report is to evaluate the facial profile and occlusal effects of interceptive orthodontics therapy. The treatment with upper arch expansion and maxilla protraction was done in an early age to be effective in the circummaxillary sutural system and to make the orthopedic effect easier. The facial mask used is positioned on two facial points and allows an anterior maxillary replacement. Patients’ compliance is important to reach treatment success, this because using the mask still in this growth and development phase is essential to make the facial and occlusal effects happen. It is important to mention that patients with Angle Class III malocclusion need to be followed till the end of their growth.

Casos de ensino relacionados à educação física escolar: uma produção dos alunos do ensino médio

Teaching cases are records, through written narratives, of an academic episode or incident, they appear in educational scenery as a rich strategy not only for the teacher's conformation but also for their investigation. The bibliography shows that young students are still not very much investigated and it contributes to the establishment of negative images of this social subject. In this sense, the objective of this work is to analyze the stories and episodes, called teaching cases, in narrative style, written by students from High School about their physical education classes. The participants of this study are High School students from two public schools from two cities in the countryside of São Paulo state. The researcher stayed in the schools for nine months and in this meantime she made contact with the students, asking, for the ones who showed interest, the construction of teaching cases. For this interested students, the researcher explained researcher explained what teaching cases are, as well as, she presented a template to guide them in the production. At the end of this process, twenty teaching cases were delivered to the researcher. They were analyzed under the qualitative approach, valuing the expressive wealth in the narratives, complemented by the interviews with the authors. Inset the mosaic of narratives and interviews, showing a variety of experiences and possibilities of distance and approximation of the students to the physical education classes, we can indicate that from the 20 cases, only one was set as a total distance from the physical education classes (this is the student's situation since she was in the second grade from elementary school). Mentioning the positive experiences and the approximation to the physical education classes, the association of teaching cases and interviews showed that seven students lived the context and until today present an affective proximity to the classes. Estudos de pré-formulação e desenvolvimento de cosméticos - linha health and beauty

O constante crescimento na quantidade de produtos cosméticos e o interesse e a necessidade da população por uma pele mais jovem e bonita, requer buscas continuas de inovação para o desenvolvimento de novos produtos baseados em pesquisas realizadas por grandes, medias e pequenas empresas. Para o desenvolvimento de novas formulações é necessário possuir um conhecimento especifico e estar em constante atualização sobre novas matérias primas, processos de produção, legislação vigente e outros. Sobretudo é extremamente importante avaliar o publico alvo, o que esses esperam e desejam do mercado de cosmético, antes mesmo de dar inicio ao processo de desenvolvimento. Neste trabalho o publico alvo são as mulheres, porém não existe qualquer restrição para que os homens não os utilize. Desta forma, o presente trabalho propôs-se a desenvolver uma linha de preparações antienvelhecimento que tem como objetivo cuidar da saúde amenizando os sinais e danos causados pelo envelhecimento, realçando e despertando a beleza escondida em cada individuo. A base para o desenvolvimento das formulações foi elaborada por meio de uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico constituída essencialmente pela leitura de obras especializadas em cosméticos, cosmecêuticos e ativos dermatológicos. Do ponto de vista prático foram elaboradas diversas formulas que complementaram o desenvolvimento teórico realizado.

Limitations of enamel microabrasion technique applied in a pediatric patient: case report

Enamel microabrasion is a non-invasive method that removes intrinsic and superficial defects from teeth aimed to improve dental esthetic with minimal loss of dental tissue. This case presentation describes the attempt for teeth color correction utilizing that conservative technique in a young girl whose upper central incisor presented an opaque white stain. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was conducted in order to illustrate the glasslike luster and a smooth texture of microabraded enamel surface. The correct diagnosis of defect is a difficult task, when consider this conservative approach.

Eficiência do aparelho Herbst bandado na correção da Classe II divisão 1 -relato de caso

The current reports the case of a young patient with malocclusion Class II division 1 on permanent dentition treated in two stages, rthopedics and orthodontics, respectively. At first, the banded Herbst appliance was used duringa 7 months period, followed by a T4K appliance, Trainer for Kids used as retention, and on the second stage the corrective Orthodontics was performed. The results showed the acquirement of a Class I dental relationship, which was kept stable, with excellent intercuspation, even after 5 years of the removal of the Herbst appliance, as well as the correction of the overjet and the reduction of the facial profile convexity. It can be concluded that the Herbst appliance was very efficient in correcting the Class II malocclusion, long term, also providing a very favorable effect on the facial profile.
