Investigation of aspect ratio of hole drilling from micro to nanoscale via focused ion beam fine milling

Holes with different sizes from microscale to nanoscale were directly fabricated by focused ion beam (FIB) milling in this paper. Maximum aspect ratio of the fabricated holes can be 5:1 for the hole with large size with pure FIB milling, 10:1 for gas assistant etching, and 1:1 for the hole with size below 100 nm. A phenomenon of volume swell at the boundary of the hole was observed. The reason maybe due to the dose dependence of the effective sputter yield in low intensity Gaussian beam tail regions and redeposition. Different materials were used to investigate variation of the aspect ratio. The results show that for some special material, such as Ni-Be, the corresponding aspect ratio can reach 13.8:1 with Cl₂ assistant etching, but only 0.09:1 for Si(100) with single scan of the FIB.

Contribution from neuropsychology to the study of semantic memory

Semantic memory has been studied from various fields. The first models emerged from cognitive psychology from the hand of the division proposed by Tulving between semantic and episodic memory. Over the past thirty years there have been parallel developments in the fields of psycholinguistics, cognitive psychology and cognitive neuropsychology. The present work is to review the contributions that have emerged within the neuropsychology to the study of semantic memory and to present an updated overview of the points of consensus. First, it is defined the term "semantics" conceptually within the field of neuropsychology. Then, there is a dichotomy that passes through both psychological and neuropsychological models on semantic memory: the existence of modals versus amodal representations. Third, there are  developed the main theoretical models in neuropsychology that emerged in an attempt to explain categoryspecific semantic deficits. Finally, more robust contributions and points that still generate some discussion are reviewed.

Evolution of analogical reasoning in children: follow-up from six to eleven years old

The aim of this study is to establish the time and period of development of Analogical Reasoning (AR) and evaluate its independence and performance with respect to the age. We performed a longitudinal cohort study of two age groups and six annual follow-up phases from each one (2000-2005, 2001-2006) in six to eleven years-old children in the city of Huanuco (Peru) with a sample of 167 children (first stage), and N=121 (sixth stage). The Raven’s progressive matrices test, coloured version, was applied individually without time limits. Results indicate that AR development occurs in a constant and late way from seven to eleven years-old children, and also that there is independence between the ability of AR and the children age. We discuss the importance of knowledge in the relationships between analogies topics, adjusted to the age, as a mediating factor in the development of AR.

The construction of plurinational territory. Bolivia from 1960 to 2010

As a result of a set of public policies and of the emergence of various social movements as of 1952 and especially in the years 1994 to 2006, Bolivia has known one of the most important processes of territorial restructuring and re organization of all its state structures. This article tackles the specific characteristics of the major transformations of the country in a period of more than 50 years; a period that led to the rise of what is now called the "Plurinational State of Bolivia". This is done by analyzing the most important effects of certain public policies implemented between 1950 and 2010.

From school to work. 'De la escuela al trabajo'.

Proyecto educativo indicado para el nivel de Educación Secundaria. El cuaderno propone conocer los vínculos entre la escuela y el mundo del trabajo para así facilitar la inserción laboral de los alumnos que acaban los estudios. Para ello se estructura en cinco fichas, que proponen a partir de unos objetivos a conseguir, unas actividades. Las fichas están orientadas a desarrollar la autoestima y la confianza en el alumnado. El texto es de letra grande con dos o tres frases por cada doble página que tiene grandes ilustraciones acompañadas de otro tamaño de letra cuando es necesario proporcionar una mayor información. También hay un glosario.

Se describe la historia de un huevo a pollito de la manera más sencilla posible. Esta simplificación puede inducir algunas veces al error. Se analiza el embrión como un pequeño punto en la albúmina, pero sólo en el glosario se explica que la albúmina es la clara de huevo. El texto es de letra grande con dos o tres frases por cada doble página llena con grandes ilustraciones acompañadas de otro tamaño de letra cuando es necesario proporcionar una mayor información. Se emplean términos científicos, tales como huevos, esperma, y fertilizados. Hay un glosario.
