Catálogo florístico del Cañón del río Duratón (Segovia, España). I. Equisetaceae a Grossulariaceae

Se inicia con esta publicación el catálogo de la flora vascular del Cañón del río Duratón (Segovia). Se citan 162 taxones de las familias comprendidas entre Equisetaceae y Grossulariaceae. Se realizan numerosas aportaciones corológicas.

Contribución al conocimiento de la flora de Segura-Cazorla (Andalucía, España)

En el presente trabajo se dan localidades de plantas recolectadas por los autores en Segura-Cazorla pertenecientes a táxones que, hasta el momento, no habían sido citados en el mencionado macizo montañoso, junto con algunas otras que, por su rareza en sí mismo, se ha estimado interesante incorporarlas. Asimismo se incluyen localidades para ciertas especies que, habiendo sido reseñadas en determinados trabajos, no han sido recogidos en los catálogos florísticos publicados posteriormente.

Catálogo liquénico de las calizas de Madrid (España)

Se da a conocer un primer catálogo de la flora liquénica que coloniza los roquedos pontienses, o del páramo, situados entre las cuencas de los ríos Henares y Tajuña (Madrid, España). Se relacionan en total 101 táxones, once de los cuales son nuevas citas para la flora española, con comentarios acerca de su ecología y corología.

Líquenes silicícolas de la Sierra del Relumbrar (Oeste de Albacete, España)

Resultados florísticos de la exploración del extremo oriental de Sierra Morena, de rocas ácidas y duras (cuarcitas y pizarras). Se da cuenta del hallazgo de 105 especies, en su mayor parte mediterráneas, aunque con la ausencia de las especies termófilas de las zonas bajas del SE. Se ofrece la descripción de algunas especies que no ha sido posible identificar, así como la de otras especies poco conocidas o escasamente citadas. Establecimiento de una red de valoración de pureza atmosférica en la provincia de La Coruña (España) mediante bioindicadores liquénicos

Se estudia la flora liquénica epifita de los alrededores de la Central T6rmica de Meirama (La Coruña) estableciendo índices biocenóticos (IPA. Diversidad y Frecuencia) y proponiéndose una escala cualitativa de toxisensíbilidad. Se adjunta un catálogo que comprende todos los líquenes epífitos reconocidos, entre los cuales hay 70 nuevas citas para la región (muestras testigo depositadas en MAF-Lich.).

List of species and vegetal communities of Isla Grosa (Murcia, España)

The vegetal population of Isla Grosa, island located in the neighbourhood of Mar Menos (Mediterranean Sea), is studies. It is registered the presence of the association Mayteno-Periplocetum. Likewise a registrer of other species is given, being this the first vegetal contribution to this volcanic island.

Sign language in Spanish television. Study on reception

The present article analyses the preferences of the deaf who use sign language and are users of the TV interpretation service to sign language, as well as the characteristics with which TV channels provide that service in television in Spain. The objective is to establish whether the way in which the aforementioned accessibility service is provided matches the preferences of users or differ from them. The analysis presents the opinion on this service of the deaf that use the Spanish sign language as their first language for communication. A study has also been conducted on the programmes broadcast with sign language during week 10-16/03/2014. The main data collected reveal that the deaf are dissatisfied with broadcasting times. They ask for news programmes with sign language, they would rather have the interpretation carried out by deaf people who use sign language and they prefer that the interpreter is the main image on screen. Concerning the analysis of the programmes broadcast, the study shows that the majority of programmes with sign language are broadcast at night, they are entertainment programmes, the interpretation is carried out by hearing people who use sign language and that their image is displayed in a corner of the screen.

The consequences of child-parent violence reflected in a life story

A process of social transformation allied with ongoing changes to the family has made possible the existence of a relatively little-known phenomenon: that of child-parent violence, which is raised as one of the most commonly experienced forms of violence in the family environment. Based on the study of this phenomenon, in our research we have used the qualitative technique of a life story, making use of a field diary in which we have taken notes on our daily work in the therapeutic context, for the purposes of mitigating the effects of such a process. The following research objectives were set: establishing the connection existing between family education style and the use of violence by the minor; and evaluating the extent to which family therapy mitigates the use of violence by the minor. The family education model, together with other dimensions, results in situations of child-parent violence occurring repeatedly, with continuing negative reinforcement from both parties in order to maintain a recurrent cycle of conduct, from which it is difficult to «escape» other than through a process of ongoing psychological therapy.

Discovering keys to explain social policies within the social and democratic rule-of-law sate

There is a collective worldview on social policies that is expressed and understood by university professionals. However, it takes students time to construct this knowledge. Here, we provide fundamental ideas and a dynamic to facilitate learning of social policies. The preparation of a brief dictionary of significant terms is to be constructed as a group, alongside the maieutic work to be carried out by the teacher. The goal is to discover keys to understand the meaning of social policies and the underlying values that sustain a social and democratic rule-of-law state such as the one proposed in the Spanish Constitution of 1978. Attention is focused on the structure of the mixed welfare state. This is an integral proposal and comprises three dimensions. First, it considers the state and its possible welfare agents: business, market, the Church and civil society. The attitudes with which universal and inclusive social action is promoted, breaking radically with the aid-based meaning contained in other systems, are then addressed. Finally, we examine human dignity as a principle and aim of intervention, a basis for understanding other concepts such as human, social, labour and political rights. It is to be hoped that these pages prove useful for both teaching staff and students.
