Estrutura de capital: uma exploração preliminar da abordagem pecking order no Brasil

Este trabalho tem por objetivo, essencialmente, estudar um dos modelos que procuram explicar as políticas de concepção de estrutura de capital. Embora já usado em 1961 por Donaldson, o termo pecking order rotula um modelo criado em 1984 por stwart Myers e Nicholas Majluf, segundo o qual as empresas, procuram financiar seus novos investimentos dando prioridade aos recursos internamente gerados e, uma vez esgotados estes, aderem ao uso de instrumentos de financiamento externo segundo uma ordem determinada pelo risco inerente a cada um deles.

Otimização Topológica com Termo-elasticidade Utilizando Elementos Tri3

This work proposes a formulation for optimization of 2D-structure layouts submitted to mechanic and thermal shipments and applied an h-adaptive filter process which conduced to computational low spend and high definition structural layouts. The main goal of the formulation is to minimize the structure mass submitted to an effective state of stress of von Mises, with stability and lateral restriction variants. A criterion of global measurement was used for intents a parametric condition of stress fields. To avoid singularity problems was considerate a release on the stress restriction. On the optimization was used a material approach where the homogenized constructive equation was function of the material relative density. The intermediary density effective properties were represented for a SIMP-type artificial model. The problem was simplified by use of the method of finite elements of Galerkin using triangles with linear Lagrangian basis. On the solution of the optimization problem, was applied the augmented Lagrangian Method, that consists on minimum problem sequence solution with box-type restrictions, resolved by a 2nd orderprojection method which uses the method of the quasi-Newton without memory, during the problem process solution. This process reduces computational expends showing be more effective and solid. The results materialize more refined layouts with accurate topologic and shape of structure definitions. On the other hand formulation of mass minimization with global stress criterion provides to modeling ready structural layouts, with violation of the criterion of homogeneous distributed stress

Dinâmica e estrutura de redes complexas no modelo de afinidade

In this work we elaborate and discuss a Complex Network model which presents connectivity scale free probability distribution (power-law degree distribution). In order to do that, we modify the rule of the preferential attachment of the Bianconi-Barabasi model, including a factor which represents the similarity of the sites. The term that corresponds to this similarity is called the affinity, and is obtained by the modulus of the difference between the fitness (or quality) of the sites. This variation in the preferential attachment generates very interesting results, by instance the time evolution of the connectivity, which follows a power-law distribution ki / ( t t0 )fi, where fi indicates the rate to the site gain connections. Certainly this depends on the affinity with other sites. Besides, we will show by numerical simulations results for the average path length and for the clustering coefficient

A construção histórica do termo caboclo: sobre estruturas e representações sociais no meio rural amazônico

O artigo apresenta uma análise dos usos da palavra caboclo, distinguindo entre a complexidade do uso popular e a objetividade postulada pelo uso acadêmico. A representação dessa categoria social, ao lado da história do termo, revelam um retrato da própria história da Amazônia, com sua estrutura de classes e a valoração social atribuída aos seus componentes. Sendo essencialmente um termo de identificação, e raramente uma identidade, o nome caboclo faz parte da construção das relações sociais, ao classificar pessoas e definir sua posição na hierarquia social. Com base nessa complexidade, o artigo faz uma crítica à objetividade reivindicada pelo uso acadêmico.

Na língua portuguesa, além das regras que norteiam uma boa redação, a estrutura de um texto também tem grande relevância para que este seja entendido pelo leitor e esteja de acordo com a norma culta. A estrutura, portanto, é desencadeada a partir da ligação de orações e frases, formando, então, os parágrafos. Estes, por sua vez, devem possuir relação entre si para que o texto possua coerência. Assim, ao escrever, é necessário estar atento a esta premissa, pois a má estruturação textual compromete o sentido e, consequentemente, dificulta o entendimento

Estudo vídeo-polissonográfico em recém-nascidos de termo pequenos para a idade gestacional

Video-polygraphic-EEG studies were performed in the first 24 life-hours of 26 healthy full-term newborns without perinatal injuries. The neurological examination and cranial ultrasonography were normal. The newborns were divided into two groups: one, with full-term appropriate - birth weight 11 newborns (control group ) and the other with full-term low-birth weight 15 newborns. Thirteen newborns of the second group had video-polygraphic-EEG study abnormalities. The most frequent abnormalities were found in 11 cases, as far as sleep architecture is concerned. Also, when compared with the control group, 8 cases of an excessive amount of startles and 2 cases of low behavior activities were found. The results demonstrate the usefulness of video-polygraphic-EEG study in the full-term newborns with intra-uterine growth retard. This examination was sensitive to detect behavior, sleep architecture and EEG standard differences in the low birth-weight newborns as to the control group.

Resistência mecânica de hidrogéis termo-sensíveis constituídos de Alginato-Ca2+ / PNIPAAm, tipo Semi-IPN

Thermosensitive hydrogels were synthesized using alginate-Ca2+ in association with a thermosensitive polymer, such as PNIPAAm. The mechanical properties of the hydrogels were determined measuring the maximum tension of deformation. With the increase of the temperature by 25 to 40 ºC above the LCST the chains of PNIPAAm collapsed, dragging the alginate net and diminishing the size of the pores. The decrease in the size of the pores of the hydrogel was followed by an increase in the mechanicals resistance of the material.

Glicoproteína-P, resistência a múltiplas drogas (MDR) e relação estrutura-atividade de moduladores

Multidrug resistance, MDR is a major obstacle for cancer chemotherapy. MDR can be reversed by drugs that vary in their chemical structure and main biological activity. Many efforts have been done to overcome MDR based on studies of structure-activity relationships and in this review we summarize some aspects of MDR mediated by P-glycoprotein (P-gp), as the most experimentally and clinically tested form of drug resistance. The most significant MDR mechanisms revealed until now are shortly discussed. Physicochemical and structural properties of MDR modulators, measures of the MDR reversal, and QSAR studies are included.
