O assassino existencialista e outras narrativas: o existencialismo de Sartre em cena no Rio de Janeiro (1945-1955)

O mote da presente pesquisa é perseguir os sentidos postos em circulação no Rio de Janeiro entre 1945 e 1955 sobre o existencialismo, em especial vinculado às ideias de Jean-Paul Sartre. Fortemente relacionado ao ambiente francês do pós-guerra, o existencialismo aqui é intencionado como produto que passa pelo crivo da carioquice, dialogando, por exemplo, com o carnaval e com as gestões de Vargas e Dutra. Das matérias jornalísticas coletadas em A Manhã e Última Hora, ambos periódicos cariocas importantes na época aqui focalizada, emergem três eixos principais: a encenação do existencialismo no campo político e religioso carioca; a circulação dessa filosofia entre os intelectuais brasileiros, bem como um levantamento das produções culturais conectadas ao existencialismo que circularam pela então capital nacional; e, por fim, a criação de certa moda existencialista no Rio e no país, atrelada a certos papéis de gênero, crimes, vícios, depravação. O que se afirma, afinal, é o quanto o existencialismo que circula pela cidade é menos um ismo de importação, noção presente em uma das matérias de jornal coletadas, do que uma produção também brasileira

East African Fisheries Research Organization Annual Report 1955/1956

This report covers the period 1st July, 1955, to 30th June, 1956. As printing has been delayed for various reasons, reference should be made to certain important proposals put forward since the 30th June. Just after the close of the year a meeting of the Lake Victoria Fisheries Board was held at Entebbe on 26th July. At this meeting disagreement arose between the representatives of the three East African Governments on the subject of whether or not existing restrictions on fishing in Lake Victoria should be retained. This organization holds strongly to the view that the existing restrictions on fishing should be retained, Kenya holds similar views, but Uganda and Tanganyika were in favour of a proposal to lift these restrictions. This question was discussed a month earlier by the Director with the Colonial Office Fisheries Advisory Committee and they also advised the Lake Victoria Fisheries Board against lifting the restrictions.

Annual Report of the East African Agricultural and Fisheries Research Council 1955-56

The annual report present activities carried out by the different organizations that make up the East African Agricultural & Fisheries Research Council which included: 1. Report of the East African Agriculture & Forestry Research Organization 2. Report of the East African Veterinary Research Organization 3. Report of the East African Fishery Research Organization 4. Report of the East African Marine Fisheries Research Organization and 5. Report of the East African Trypanosomiasis Research Organisation. The activities reported are for the period 1955-56.

Light and scanning electron microscopic study of Balantidium ctenopharyngodoni Chen, 1955 (Class : Litostomatea) from China

Redescription of Balantidium ctenopharyngodoni "Chen (Acta Hydrobiol Sin 1:123-164, 1955)", collected from the hindgut of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella), especially the segment of 6-10 cm upstream from the anus, from Honghu Lake, Hubei Province, central China in November 2005, is presented in this paper to complete Chen's description at both light and scanning electron microscopic levels. Some revisions were done: the vestibulum is fairly symmetrical, with compactly arranged cilia rather than assembled membrane bordering on the left vestibular side; four contractile vacuoles actually exist in the latter body, three of which surround the posterior portion of the macronucleus, whereas the fourth lies antero-left to it. Somatic monokinetids were compared among the species of genus Balantidium. The cysts were described, and possible infection routes of B. ctenopharyngodoni were also discussed.

Estudio del Cheilanthion hispanicae Rivas Goday 1955 em. Sáenz de Rivas & Rivas-Martínez 1979 y comunidades afines, en el Sector Orensano-Sanabriense (Provincia Carpetano-Ibérico-Leonesa)

Se analiza el comportamiento fitosociológico de las comunidades vegetales caracterizadas por la presencia de los taxones Cheilanthes tinaei Todaro y Ch. hispanica Mett. en el Sector Orensano-Sanabriense (Provincia Carpetano-lbérico-Leonesa), proponiendo para ellas la asociación Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei y las subasociaciones: Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei cheilanthetosum hispanicae nova y Linario glabrescentis-Cheilanthetum tinaei cheilanthetosum guanchicae nova.Comentamos brevemente la asociación Phagnalo saxatile-Rumicetum indurati Rivas-Martínez inéd, que contacta topográficamente con la asociación anteriormente propuesta.Se aportan datos sobre el comportamiento fitosociológico de Cheilanthes pteridioides (Reichard) C. Chr.
