A folia de momo na cidade de São Paulo na percepção da imprensa e dos artistas do traço: 1960/1964

The discussion of this paper focuses on the search for demarcation of the Momo merriments in the city of São Paulo between 1960 and 1964, aiming to apprehend their specific traits at that juncture. It is known that the Brazilian Carnival, and in its sphere the São Paulo City one, has been steadily becoming enshrined in profile by popular segments. However, in that decade onset such festivities were going through certain peculiarities because it was a period characterized by many changes. The city of São Paulo, particularly, was experiencing an accelerated process of urbanization and consequent massification, as well as a moment of significant expansion of the cultural industry and mass communication means. Were the Momo revels immune to this process? What was the profile of these amusements in the city?

O único luxo de um santo laico: fotografias em biografias de Clóvis Beviláqua

The jurist Clovis Bevilaqua (1859-1944) was a privileged member of a political and intellectual elite in the context of the transition from the nineteenth to the early decades of the twentieth century in this country, having been a professor at the Faculdade de Direito de Recife, author of the Civil Code of 1917, consultant for the Ministério das Relações Exteriores and jurist of international prestige, and literary critic and author of law, philosophy and history.Their biographies emphasize the breadth of his legal knowledge, the merits of civil codification which was author and lifestyle humble and generous earning him the nickname "secular saint". However, the lawyer had the habit of collecting photos of himself and of his family and this behavior is characterized as a single vanity for his biographers. From four biographies of Clovis Bevilaqua, written by Lauro Romero (1956), Raimundo de Menezes and Ubaldino de Azevedo (1959), Noemia Paes Barreto Brandão (1989) and Silvio Meira (1990), we intend to discuss how these images are used to illustrate the trajectory of the jurist and corroborate the distinct narratives models.

Análise de biografias de Einstein em dois livros de divulgação científica

In this paper we analyzed and compared two Albert Einstein’s biographies. The first one was “Albert Einstein and his inflatable universe”, written by Mike Goldsmith. The second biography was “Einstein – his life and universe”, written by Walter Isaacson. The intention of this comparison was to identify convergent and divergent points between two books, beyond verifying the possible neglected important points of Einstein’s life suppressed by Goldsmith to facilitate the comprehension of the text. Such details are those that we consider important to Albert Einstein’s intellectual development, and may have significantly contributed to the development of his theories. For this, our analysis was grounded in Douglas Allchin’s perspective, whose work presents aspects in the rhetoric of the text that contribute to the Science and scientist mystification.

O desafio de desenvolver artistas criativos no mundo das mídias digitais

From the second half of the twentieth century, with the proposal of working active listening, exploring sounds, the experience, the search for new forms of contemporary music notation, improvisation and experimental music composition, arise music educators Paynter Schafer and Koellreutter, known by the active method of second generation who contributed greatly to the development of creative processes in the classroom. Also arises, in the same period, the encounter between art and technology, expanding opportunities through digital media, open, participatory and interactive works such as Video art, Web art, Nanoarte and Locative Art, augmented, not only against the art with the public, through connections mediated by digital interfaces, providing new learning situations attractive for the development of creativity and artistic production as challenges in contemporary.

De los pensadores aficionados-artistas, a los pensadores serios-semiólogos : ayer y hoy del lenguaje visual

Desde la semiótica se ha intentado un abordaje de la obra de arte (visual ,en el caso que nos ocupa), con criterios que buscan cierta objetividad, obviando algunas consideraciones idealistas. Sin embargo, esta tendencia moderna tiene fuertes antecedentes en autores que actúan por lo menos desde principios del siglo XX. El presente trabajo propone una línea de continuidad conceptual entre autores considerados "presemióticos" -el pintor Wassily Kandinskyy el psicólogo e historiador del arte Rudolf Arnheim-, y autores semióticos -los semiólogos Umberto Eco y el Grupo Mu, de Lieja-, los que se han considerado representativos de sus respectivas posiciones.
